Chapter 1262 There Should Be Good News
Although Jenny and Alec had gotten engaged, it didn't make much of a difference to her. She still went to work the next day.
Possibly because of Alec's donations, the hospital hired a few more doctors. Even if Jenny didn't see the patients, they would be able to be treated. Jenny was satisfied with this. She was much more relaxed now.
At night, Jenny received a call from Graham telling them about their wedding date. Apparently, the only time they could marry this year was in three months. Jenny was exasperated. She knew that the date would be beyond their expectations.
Three months. She told Alec about it, who didn't have much of an issue with it. Three months was enough time for the wedding dress and the rings to arrive.
"Jenny, since we've already decided to marry, and the date has been fixed, should we go to Parrington to see Grandpa?" Alec was a little embarrassed. He and Jenny returned from Parrington less than two days ago.
Jenny didn't refuse. "That makes sense. We should go see Grandpa."
And not just Alec's grandfather. She wanted to see hers, too. She wanted to tell him, even if it was just his grave. This wedding would be different from the first. The first was only because she wanted to fulfill her grandfather's wishes, but this time, she was willing to marry.
"Well, we'll go to Parrington once things settle down at the hospital. Maybe in two days," Alec said.
Jenny considered it. Since there were a few more doctors around, she wasn't really that important. "We could go tomorrow. After your donation, the director doesn't even care if I show up."
Sometimes, she felt that her presence pressured the nurses around her. She knew the reason why. Everyone was thinking that she was different from them. They were once colleagues, but now, she was their boss. They would treat her differently.
"I'm okay with that. I was just worried that you'd be slacking off." Alec was free whenever. The Fausts were pretty much in stable condition. Even if something cropped up, Isabelle would be able to handle it. Jenny had told him to nurture Julian and Isabelle. It seemed that her decision was the right one.
Julian wasn't very gifted in this department, but Isabelle was. She could handle it all on her own, and Alec had handed a lot of things over to her. He was now very relaxed indeed.
"Who would think that I'm slacking off?" Jenny smiled, a little exasperated.
Alec knew what she meant and smiled awkwardly. "We'll go tomorrow, then. I have to call him."
"Alright." Jenny didn't mind.
Then, they hung up. Jenny was in no rush to head home. She still had a few patients to tend to before she went back.
In Parrington, when Old Mr. Faust heard that Alec and Jenny would come to visit, he instantly felt better.
"Warren, get someone to make the preparations. Alec and Jenny are coming tomorrow," he said.
Warren was surprised. "They're coming back?"
"Yes. There should be good news." Old Mr. Faust was happy. Alec had already let him know a little about his plan. He knew that Alec was planning to propose. He just didn't know if he had succeeded. Now, it seemed that he had.
