Chapter 1261 I Believe in Your Skills
Jenny recalled Graham's attitude toward Alec and nodded. "He probably does. They're already talking about the wedding arrangements."
"Really? That's great." Stephanie was happy. "Now it looks like you and Alec will marry very quickly."
"Not necessarily. My dad insists on getting a priest to tell us when we should marry. Who knows what the date will be." Jenny knew what Stephanie was thinking. She wanted to solidify things between her and Leoanrd after Jenny and Alec married.
Stephanie smiled. She didn't think there was anything wrong with that. "You should get a nice date. Your marriage from before was sloppy. Now you have to take it seriously."
As Jenny's best friend, Stephanie wanted her to be happy. Hence, she didn't think there was anything wrong with waiting for a bit.
They talked in the coffee shop until night fell over the city. Jenny had to check on Alec's condition, so she didn't eat with Stephanie.
Back in the villa, Jenny didn't see Alec in the living room. She went to the bedroom. However, there was no one there. It struck her as odd. Could Alec have gone to the company?
At the thought, she walked out of the bedroom and swept her gaze over the floor. The light in the study was on. She felt bewildered.
She pushed the door open. Alec was sketching something at his desk. Quietly, Jenny walked over. There was a sheet of A3-sized paper on the table, but that wasn't the point. On it was drawn a wedding gown, and Alec was currently sketching out the exquisite little details with utmost care.
Jenny's eyes filled with tears. She was moved. "Did you design that?"
"Jenny? When did you come in here?" Alec was shocked to see her by his side. He wanted to hide the sketch, but it was too late. He smiled in embarrassment. "I wanted to surprise you, but you've found me."
"You were too engrossed in it. You didn't notice me walking in." Jenny took the sketch and held it up to gaze at it.
Alec was not a professional designer, but it was an exquisite design. She couldn't take her eyes off it. "It's beautiful."
"Do you like it? I'm self-taught. I was afraid that you wouldn't like it." He was anxious before, wondering if he should entrust the design to a professional instead. However, he felt that the wedding dress was too important to be designed by anyone else.
Jenny smiled at him, then said, "I like it. Your design is beautiful. Other designs couldn't compare."
"That's great. But it'll take a while for the design to be realized into an actual dress," Alec said.
Jenny nodded and put the sketch back down. "Don't rush it. I believe in your skills. You haven't eaten yet, have you? Let's eat."
Alec nodded and put the sketch away. He would be incredibly busy these few days. He had the wedding ring to design, too. He wanted to customize them all.
They walked out of the study room. Although it was still early, Alec was still not completely sobered up. Hence, they decided to dine out.
"Your parents seem to want to go to the priest tomorrow. Should we follow them?" Alec looked at Jenny, who was driving.
Jenny thought about it and shook her head. "There's no need. They can go by themselves. They'll tell us the date once they have it, so we don't need to worry." "Alright. Whatever you say."
