Chapter 16 I Am Henry’s Girlfriend 

“Celia, you have let me down!” 

Upon hearing John’s words, Henry’s anger reached its peak. 

He snorted coldly, pushed Celia away, and left without looking back 

“Henry, wait for me…” 

Celia dashed after Henry, but all she had left were exhaust fumes fumes from the car. 

Celia stood still. She felt an unknown grievance welling up in her heart; her eyes turned red. 

Once again, she was being left behind. 

However, when she thought about the things she had done to Henry, she realised that she had no right to feel aggrieved! The one who had been hurt was Henry! 

She had made countless excuses to meet John before, so it was normal for Henry to be angry when he saw her getting close to John. 

As Henry’s wife, she had focused all her attention on John, and she couldn’t imagine how much pain. Henry had endured over these years. 

This little grievance she had suffered was nothing compared to Henry’s. 

She looked up at the sky to hold back the tears in her eyes, then strode towards John. 

Her husband needs to be comforted, but she has something more important to do before that! 

“Celia, I knew you couldn’t bear to leave me.” 

John felt a strong sense of pride surge in his heart as he saw Celia didn’t chase after Henry but walked 

towards him.

Celia shouted angrily. She raised her fist and swung it towards John. 

She couldn’t contain her anger if she didn’t beat this scumbag today.

This guy not only betrayed Celia but also manipulated her. Sally had wanted to beat him up for a long time. 

“Excuse me, what floor is Mr. Holton’s office on?” 

Celia dashed into River Group and asked the receptionist anxiously. 

“Miss, do you have an appointment?” 

Her body stiffened, and she shook her head. 

She and Henry were originally in a secret marriage. Since she had never come to the company with Henry, the only people in the company who knew her were probably the few assistants around Henry. 

“I apologise. You need an appointment to see Mr. Holton.” 

Celia panicked and quickly explained, “I’m Henry’s girlfriend. I have something very important to discuss with him!” 

The receptionist smiled politely and gestured towards the lounge behind her, saying, “Miss, there are a few others over there who claim to be Mr. Holton’s girlfriends. Which one of them do you think is not more mature and attractive than you? Aren’t they all waiting there?”

She concealed her disappointment in her eyes and forced a smile on her lips, comforting herself, “Maybe he’s just too busy with work. He’ll come out if I wait a little longer 

However, several hours passed, and she still hadn’t seen Henry’s figure. 

“Miss, we’re about to close. If you have any unfinished business, you’ll have to come back tomorrow.” 

After an unknown amount of time, the voice of a security guard suddenly reached Celia’s ears. 

She looked down at her phone and was surprised to find that it was already nine o’clock. 

“Have I been waiting for so long?” 

A hint of hurt flashed in Celia’s eyes as she walked out of the company in a daze.
