Chapter 74 An Unexpected Guest

Sally was shocked.

The car slowly approached them. Sally thought it was going to hit them, so she picked up Andy and turned to run.

“Stop!” A familiar voice suddenly called from behind Sally!

Sally couldn’t believe it and turned her head to see Anders walking towards her with a displeased expression.

“Why are you running?” Anders asked coldly.

Sally stood still and watched as the man slowly walked up to her.

“Mr. Anders, what do you want from me?” Sally’s tone was very distant.

Anders glanced at her face and then shifted his gaze to Andy,

“Did this boy just get pushed by Daniel?” Anders asked, raising an eyebrow.

Sally didn’t reply. Anders immediately called his assistant, “Get a doctor to my office.”

Sally instinctively wanted to step back, “No need to trouble you, I’ll take Andy to the hospital myself.”

Anders didn’t give her a chance to refuse “Are you sure you want to leave?”

Sally hadn’t taken two steps when Anders said, “I can have someone pull up the surveillance footage.”

Sally stopped in her tracks.

Anders knew his words had worked.

He smiled, “You can leave now, but how will you prove your son’s innocence?”

Anders had indeed witnessed everything that happened.

Sally’s expression darkened, and she said. “I’ll go with you.”

Anders led her out of the underground garage.

By the time they reached Anders‘ office, a doctor was already waiting for them.

“Check the child’s scrapes,” Anders instructed.

The doctor quickly complied.

While the doctor treated Andy’s arm, Sally glanced at Anders.

Anders raised an eyebrow, “What’s up?”

Sally hesitated for a few seconds but finally asked, “Why are you helping me?”

Anders sneered, then shifted his gaze back to his computer, “I just don’t like seeing anyone casually bullying my people.”

“My people?”

Sally was stunned.

What was this guy thinking?

When had she become Anders‘ person?

Anders arrogantly said, “Don’t misunderstand, I mean as my lover, if someone is to deal with you, it should be me, not anyone else.”

For a moment, Sally didn’t know how to respond.

Anders looked up at Sally’s pale face and said, “I’ve copied the surveillance footage from the underground garage to a USB drive. If you need it, you can take it.”

Sally didn’t hesitate to pick up the USB drive.

She quietly said, “Thank you.”

Anders snorted disdainfully and then sarcastically said, “Actually, this USB drive won’t do you much good.”

Sally’s tone changed, “What do you mean?”

Without looking up, Anders said, “Mia is Daniel’s precious woman. If she

insists that your son harmed her, do you think Daniel will listen to your explanation?”

Sally replied, “As long as I show Daniel this surveillance footage, the truth will come out.”

Anders mocked her, “I’m afraid Daniel won’t even look at the footage before

Anders‘ words left Sally feeling uneasy.

Did this guy always enjoy demoralizing others?

Sally silently cursed Anders in her heart.

That lousy man was as annoying as ever! She regretted thanking him earlier, it was pointless.

Once the doctor finished treating Andy, Sally prepared to leave.

Anders watched her retreating figure, hesitating to speak.

He wanted to tell her that if she encountered any difficulties in the future, she could come to him for help.

But in the end, Anders chose to stay silent.

Forget it.

Sally misunderstood him deeply, so it was better not to say too much for now.

Sally took Andy back to Berkeley’s place, then took a taxi back to her own apartment.

She wanted to rest but was surprised to find a group of people waiting at her

door!

Seeing a familiar face in the crowd, Sally’s expression turned serious.

It was Daniel!

Why was he here with a bunch of bodyguards?

Daniel reacted quickly and ordered his bodyguards to grab Sally!

Sally was forcefully brought before Daniel, who looked at her fiercely. She

angrily asked, “Daniel, what are you doing?”

Daniel looked down at her and signaled.

A bodyguard grabbed Sally’s handbag and searched it.

Finally, he found a key..

When the door opened, Sally was pushed into the living room.

“Where’s that brat?” Daniel said viciously, “Bring him out!”

Daniel had come looking for Andy!

Sally immediately became alert, “Why are you looking for Andy?”

Daniel’s face was dark, “Mia hit a pillar, and now she’s temporarily blind from head injuries! I’m here to make your son pay!”

Sally’s eyes widened!

Daníel continued cursing Andy, Sally angrily retorted, “Shut up! My son did not cause any real harm to Mia!”

“What nonsense are you talking about?” Daniel said through gritted teeth.

Sally pulled out the USB drive from her bag, “This contains the surveillance footage from the underground garage. If you don’t believe Andy, you can watch

the footage!”

Sally expected Daniel to insert the USB drive into his computer, but instead, he smashed it on the ground!

“Ah-” Sally screamed, “Are you crazy! How could you smash the USB drive!”

Daniel coldly stared at her, “What do you mean by giving me this USB drive? To prove Mia wrong?”

“No…” Daniel suddenly laughed, “You think Mia is falsely accusing your precious son?”

Sally stared at Daniel’s face.

“Do you still believe Mia?” Sally asked painfully, “After all the times Mia has framed me, how can you keep choosing to believe her?”

Daniel found Sally’s face detestable, “What are you trying to say? That Mia is framing you again?”

Sally retorted, “Isn’t that obvious?”

Daniel laughed, “Sally, you’re incredibly naive! Mia has long since reformed, she wouldn’t harm anyone now. Yet you keep clinging to the past. Sally, your character is truly awful!”

Daniel was no longer the kind, upright person she once knew!

“What makes you think she’s reformed?” Sally was furious, “Just because she says so? Daniel, you’re too gullible!
