Chapter the Wife 71
Chapter 71 The Wild Child
Sally didn’t dare look back but hurried towards the gate.
The kindergarten children were streaming out of the gate.
Sally, along with many other parents, was anxiously looking for their children, and finally, she saw Andy coming out.
Anders, sitting in his car, was extremely shocked.
If he wasn’t mistaken… that little boy was Sally’s son?
Seeing Andy limping, Anders felt a mix of emotions.
That child’s leg injury was likely related to him.
But… what puzzled Anders was, how did Andy survive that fall from such a high cliff?
Under Anders‘ astonished gaze, Andy limped towards Sally.
Sally wanted to give her son a hug, but seeing the minor cuts on his face and hands, she was stunned!
“What happened?” Sally’s voice rose, “Andy, who did you fight with?”
Sally’s heart ached deeply!
Andy didn’t want to worry his mother and just said quietly, “Mom, it’s nothing…
I accidentally hurt myself. I didn’t fight with anyone.”
But Sally could tell Andy was lying. She angrily asked, “Who hit you? I’ll get justice for you.”
Just then, a loud woman’s voice came from nearby: “Hey–are you Andy’s
mother?”
Sally looked up to see a well–dressed woman holding a little boy’s hand approaching.
“Mom,” the little boy pointed at Andy, “he’s the one who hit me! You have to stand up for me!”
Sally’s eyes turned sharp.
Andy turned to look at his classmate, his face serious.
Compared to the little boy, Andy only had a minor scratch on his face.
Suppressing her anger, Sally asked, “Andy, did this kid hit you?”
Andy silently nodded.
The woman immediately said harshly, “Are you unreasonable? Your son hit mine first, and now you’re trying to act innocent?”
“It’s you who’s acting innocent,” Sally glared at her, “Now, have your son apologize to Andy!”
“Why should he?” the woman shouted, drawing the attention of other parents,” How do you know it wasn’t your son who hit first? Your son is just a cripple!”
Hearing the woman call her son a cripple, Sally was furious: “Watch your mouth! Who’s a cripple?”
The woman fearlessly replied, “Your son’s always limping. Isn’t he a cripple?”
“Yeah!” the boy chimed in arrogantly, “Andy’s just a fatherless kid. I was just telling the truth, and he hit me for it!”
“See?” the woman shouted arrogantly, “Your son is just a fatherless brat! No wonder he’s so ill–mannered…”
“Slap!”
Sally couldn’t hold back anymore. She stepped forward and slapped the woman hard!
The woman was stunned!
As she recovered and was about to fight back, a large hand suddenly grabbed her wrist!
The woman instinctively looked back to see Byron looking at her angrily.
“Honey, you’re finally here…” the woman whined, “Sally hit me…”
Byron released her hand and sternly said, “Shut up!”
He stepped aside to make way for someone behind him.
Calvin walked up coldly.
Chapter 21 the Whi
Byron’s wife recognized Calvin and became flustered.
Sally was also surprised to see Calvin.
“What’s going on here?” Byron was embarrassed by his wife’s behavior, “Why are you causing trouble at the kindergarten gate?”
The woman tearfully pointed at Sally, “Her son hit ours. I was just talking to her, and she slapped me…”
Sally retorted, “Your son insulted Andy first, and you insulted us too. I slapped you, and it was fair.”
Byron glanced at his boss and had to scold his wife, “Stop making a fuss! Apologize to Sally and her son!”
“Apologize to her?” The woman couldn’t believe her ears, “Byron, are you crazy? She hit me first!”
Byron wished he could shut his wife’s mouth.
Couldn’t she see Calvin’s displeased face? Couldn’t she read the room?
Byron was about to faint from anger.
Calvin glanced at Byron’s son, then smiled at Andy, “What did he say to you?”
Andy looked at his mother, who gave him an encouraging nod. Andy then said, He called me a fatherless brat.”
Sally’s heart ached.
She knew she couldn’t give Andy a complete childhood, and now he was being bullied at school.
She hated herself for it.
Calvin looked at Byron.
Byron, terrified, quickly smacked his son’s head, “How could you say that?”
Byron’s son argued, “But it’s true! Andy’s files said he doesn’t have a dad!”
So that’s how it was.
Sally was infuriated.
One look at a child’s behavior could reveal a lot about their parents.
If Byron’s wife hadn’t mentioned it, how would her son know to be so cruel to Andy?
It was the parents‘ fault.
Calvin noticed this too.
He coldly stared at Byron, who was almost in tears. He sternly told his son,” Apologize to your classmate!”
Byron’s son reluctantly apologized, “Sorry”
Calvin wasn’t done. He looked at Byron’s wife.
Byron had no choice but to tell her, “Apologize to Miss Sally.”
“Honey, how can you…” The woman looked at her husband in disbelief.
Byron angrily said, “Apologize! How much more embarrassment do you want to cause?”
The woman reluctantly muttered, “Sorry.”
Calvin’s face finally relaxed a bit.
“Andy is not a fatherless brat,” Calvin said coldly, “I am his father.”
What? Everyone, including Sally, was shocked!
Byron knew Calvin didn’t have children, but seeing his serious expression, he quickly understood Calvin was standing up for Sally.
And his wife had just insulted Sally…
Byron felt a headache coming on, but he knew better than to argue and said with a forced smile, “Yes, the boss is right.”
