Chapter the Wife 2

Chapter 2 Mary

Sally’s eyes widened in shock! What is this woman doing? Sally’s anger erupted. Before she knew it, she had stormed over and yanked Mary away! “Ah…” Mary cried out, looking very hurt and upset. “Sister, what’s wrong? Why are you treating me like this all of a sudden?” Mary said sadly. Sally sneered, “What are you doing here?” Mary quickly smiled at Andy, “I heard Andy was sick, so I came to see him.” Mary’s words clearly hit a nerve with Sally. “You don’t need to pretend to care! My son doesn’t need your concern! Leave now! Get out and never come here again.” Mary’s eyes quickly filled with tears, “Sister, why are you treating me this way? Even though we’re not related by blood, we’ve been sisters for so many years. Do you really have to be so heartless?” Sally couldn’t stand it anymore. She grabbed Mary and dragged her outside. Mary was still holding the plate of fruit. “Leave here right now!” Sally shouted furiously, “I don’t want to see you, and I don’t want you near my son. Get out!” Mary looked at her with teary eyes, “Sister, do you really hate me that much? Is it because I’m with Anders that you’re so angry? I’m sorry, I…” As Mary spoke, she reached out to grab Sally’s arm. Sally, disgusted by the woman in front of her, tried to pull her hand away, “Don’t touch me!” However, Mary suddenly recoiled in fear! Sally’s eyes widened in disbelief! “Ah—” Mary screamed and fell down the nearby stairs! Sally instinctively tried to catch her, but it was too late. Mary tumbled down the stairs and soon clutched her stomach, “It hurts, it hurts so much, my stomach…” Sally was horrified to see blood pooling beneath Mary! She rushed down, but before she could reach Mary, someone kicked her hard! Anders glared at Sally with rage, then scooped Mary up in his arms. “Don’t blame her, don’t blame her…” Mary’s face was pale, tears streaming down her cheeks, “She didn’t mean to, Anders, please don’t blame her…” Sally was stunned. This woman… This woman was framing her! What does she mean? Does Mary think she tried to kill her? Sally clearly remembered she had only tried to pull her hand away, not push her! Sally wanted to explain to Anders, but he only gave her a cold look and said, “I’ll take Mary to the doctor first. After this is over, I’ll deal with you!” Sally’s heart sank. The misunderstanding between her and Anders had deepened again! Anders took Mary to the doctor. A few hours later, the doctor came out and said regretfully, “The baby can’t be saved.” Sally was stunned! What? Mary was pregnant? Meanwhile, the anger on Anders’ face grew even more severe. He turned and glared at Sally! Sally couldn’t defend herself. By then, Mary had been moved to a ward. Anders quickly went into the ward, and Sally followed. When Mary learned she had lost the baby, she immediately started crying. “Anders, our baby, our baby, waaa…” She sobbed uncontrollably, then quickly turned her gaze to Sally. “Sister, how could you be so cruel? Why did you kill my baby?” Mary cried. Sally was furious but saw Anders’ displeased look, so she softened her tone. “Mary, you’re accusing me,” Sally said calmly, “You say I hurt your baby. Do you have any proof?” Anders was furious, “You wicked woman, are you still trying to argue?” Sally felt wronged, “I didn’t hurt her! What did I do to her?” Mary clung to Anders, looking pitiful, “Anders, I heard about sister’s child being sick, so I came to see him, but… sister thought I had bad intentions!” Sally was outraged, “You entered Andy’s ward without my permission. Isn’t that wrong?” Mary shrank into Anders’ arms, looking terrified, “I, I just wanted to show some care for my nephew… But sister, how could you push me down the stairs?” Anders was indeed provoked, “Sally, you wicked woman, you’re so cruel! You tried to harm Mary’s child! I’ve been too kind to you!” Sally couldn’t help but argue, “Anders, I didn’t push her. She fell on her own. It has nothing to do with me!” Anders gritted his teeth and was about to call the guards when the doctor came over. “Ah, Miss Sally, there you are. I’ve been looking for you,” the doctor said. Sally’s heart skipped a beat, “What’s the matter?” The doctor glanced at Mary and then at Sally, “Miss Mary is in bad shape due to the miscarriage. She needs a blood transfusion.” “And your son,” the doctor continued, “he also needs a blood transfusion. They both have a rare blood type—Rh negative. But we only have enough blood for one person. So, you need to decide…” The doctor didn’t finish, but everyone understood. Worried about Andy’s safety, Sally immediately said, “Give the blood to my son! He needs it!” Anders looked at Sally with utter contempt, “You’re truly wicked! Even now, you’re thinking about that bastard!” Ignoring Anders’ anger, Sally pleaded with the doctor, “Please give the blood to my son!” “This…” The doctor looked troubled and glanced at Anders. At that moment, Mary suddenly fainted. “Mary, Mary! What’s wrong?” Anders cried out, holding the pale woman in his arms. The doctor rushed over and said urgently, “She’s losing too much blood. She needs a transfusion! Mr. Anders, you need to decide quickly!” Anders coldly said, “Give the blood to Mary! Quickly!” The doctor, sensing Anders’ authority, immediately went to follow his order.
