The Unwanted Luna

Their Mate, My Saviors Chapter 99

-POV

Conri-

The three of us stared at our princess while she snuggled into the sheets, her freshly washed hair rested on the pillow, and after we got her out of the bath, we made sure her aftercare was just as serene as the scene. "I think that went well." Edon said with a snicker. "Dude, I really was worried what would happen when you let your hair down...figuratively. I don't know how you lasted so long." Vil added with a satisfied grin.

Edon shrugged and stared out the window while he gently petted her hair. "Comfort is absolutely important to me. If she didn't trust me, there is no way she would have gone as far as we did yesterday. She would have been terrified. To be honest, I thought I was going to have to play it safe forever and my spirit and I were okay with it because it was what she needed. That is my goal. I'll always be what she needs."

"Makes sense. It did take her a lot longer to get used to us because we were upfront about it." Vil mocked.

I rolled my eyes. "The only one who threw her into the deep end right away was you." I countered.

He scoffed and turned to me to start something else when we heard it. "Malerie is gone!" Vince shouted from the mind link.

We all flew out of bed and hesitated to see if she was going to wake up. Thankfully, that was not the case. I think she can last an hour without us.... We'll be right back. We ran out the door after throwing on some boots and burst into the office. "The fuck you mean Malerie is gone." Vil shouted in absolute rage.

"It was time for the guard shift this morning and when they got there, the other prisoners and guards were asleep and Malerie was gone. It has to be magic." Vince growled while he paced the floor irritably and ruffled his hands through his hair. "It has to be Donna. She got in when everyone was looking for Ayame."

"What's all the fuss about?" Ivy called from the doorway, yawning lightly. "I was just about to have a cat nap and the shouting I heard would wake up a giant." Right, we still have company. We were about to respond when someone else decided to join the pow wow session. "I'll rip her in two!" Charlie bellowed as he slammed into the office breathing heavily.

"Charlie." I warned coolly.

He nodded once, but his rage didn't simmer down. "Malerie is gone and Sawyer and Adolpha were more than happy to rat on her after a few hours of torture...for Adolpha at least. She was really stubborn even though that girl left her here." He heaved before sitting down on the couch. "How did she get through our defenses?"

"We hadn't increased them yet. We were still working on a strategy." Kyle called from the doorway. Looks like we will need another door. I'll just add that to the list. I'm starting to think it would be easier to just not have doors anymore. They get massacred in this house. "Yes, I was actually going to chat with Amber this afternoon to see what she thinks our strategy could be. Who would have thought that woman would have been sneaking around for something else? I mean...why come back for her daughter? She said she had no ties to her." Ivy added.

I guess we were the only ones sleeping in. It looked like everyone else was holding down the fort. No...Ayame needed us. We will have to make the sacrifices until she is completely healed. We can be patient and that is what everyone else is for in the first place. "We don't need this right now! You guys are leaving in two days! What am I supposed to tell the pack? Sorry, there's a crazy bitch on the loose and we need to leave for a week-long summit?!" Vince groaned.

"Our father will be here. Jasper will be coming with us along with the cats. We will have the protection we need and so will this pack. Father will have to bring in his old beta and gamma at least, but that should prevent any additional damage on the homefront." I confirmed shortly. "Alright, that sounds doable, but what about the witch problem? The guards and prisoners were asleep for two days with absolutely no memory of what happened." Kyle grumbled. "That's no weakling mage we are dealing with.

Huh. It looks like he questioned the guards while Charlie focused on the prisoners. "I hear your mate is a witch herself. Amber said there may be one or two on Donna's side, but that's all we can deduce on our end." Ivy said as she rubbed her chin.

"Right. Zelena should be able to trace what the magic is, at least if she has a look at the aura. Since they just woke up, maybe there's still time for her to read some of it." Charlie said before racing out of the door to find his mate. I guess he's learned more about witches in the last month than I've given him credit for.

"Make sure she reports back as soon as she can." I called to Charlie through the link, since he was already halfway to his floor.

"Alright then. Now Vince, what about the other alphas? Are they willing to help?" I asked, turning my attention to the gamma.

"Wait, that's all you want to know? You don't want to ask about...pssshh...I don't know. How we are going to get Malerie back?!" Vil shouted.

I cut a glare his way. "If I'm aware of our mother's choices, we won't need to go that far. Malerie will come to us."

"I second that." Ivy added, and I nodded her way in agreement.

Edon and Vil looked at each other, then back at me. "What?"

I rolled my eyes and looked at all the confused faces, including Vince and Kyle. "She will be with our mother. That I can assure you. Now that means our goal is to fight back. We will have no other choice. I think it's time to fall back on our other deal as well." I noted, and Edon and Vil's eyes darkened as they remembered what we had forgotten since the Luna Ceremony.

"She's not ready." Vil growled lowly.

"We don't have a choice. It's either now or never. Everyone else was already dealt with." I spat back.

"What if she reverts? She didn't wake up once last night." Edon added.

"Then we will be there for her. We will be her cushion to fall back on, so don't die. Got it?" I ordered and they both huffed.

"Fine." Finally, they conceded. It's not like I was ecstatic about this plan either, but our mother forced our hand.

"Well, ummm.... We have the other alphas on our side, Conri, so..." Vince started hesitantly while he tried to figure out the shift in the atmosphere.

I nodded once. "Good, then we leave early and let them know what they are in for and allow us time to come up with a plan of attack with the rest of them."

"I suggest we bait them out." Ivy said.

I thought for a moment and it seemed like that would work the best. "Once again, I agree. That is our safest bet with minimal casualties."

"Then it's settled. Scouting should be fun. The cats can take the high ground."

Vince smirked. "If I may respond to the initial idea..."

I nodded. "Proceed."

His grin seemed to have said it all. "We won't have to do any heavy lifting. One of the alphas that agreed to protect our Luna is none other than the one who is hosting the summit. He has already tripled security for the event and made his reinforcements lie low to minimize tipping her off."

I grinned, but the smile did not meet my eyes. I was happy this was going so well, but the actual fight will be a different story. "Perfect." -POV Ayame-

I still wasn't too sure if I should even be going to this party, but all ranked members were required to go and, thankfully, Emily and Zelena were coming too. We all took separate cars to the airport, but when we made it onto the plane, the guys headed for the drinks and started talking about the plan immediately. The werecats decided to take their own form of transportation and we agreed to meet them there.

Since we had nothing better to do on the trip over, we decided to join in with the guys. "So, what you are saying is we are literally walking into a trap?" Emily huffed while she rubbed her now rounded tummy. She was almost three months along now and the growth serum worked beautifully. She was officially in the clear for a healthy pregnancy, but we will make sure they stay at the castle around the time the baby is due.

"Correct." Conri said shortly while he let me snuggle into his chest.

"Again?!" She shouted.

"My love, please." Kyle said gently.

Emily cleared her throat. "S-Sorry alphas."

Edon chuckled. "It is perfectly alright. We won't be making that mistake again."

"Right. You three are our priority. Do you understand that?" Charlie chimed in. Raven stayed home with Papa Oden and her grandmother. They thought that would be safer and we all agreed. That little princess was just too cute and I think we all have a special place in our hearts for her. If someone attacked her, the Moon Goddess herself would have to stop us from tearing that person limb from limb. "Of course, we completely understand honey, but we need to think this one through. After I did my assessment on the magic used, it was a strong form of offensive magic. I am of no use against offensive spells."

"Right, but you brought along some of your sisters and we have multiple packs at our disposal." Charlie added.

"Yes, we did, but I want the same people who are on this plane to be on this plane when we get home." She warned. I completely agree with her.

"Of course, kitten. We will do our best."

"Uhuh." Emily added curtly.

At this time, the voices had stopped and now every time I think of anything that reminds me of my past, I think of my triplets worshiping and punishing my body from head to toe. "Yummy." My wolf hummed and I internally rolled my eyes, but she has a point. Now the darkness is manageable. It doesn't feel like we had just put a bandaid on it again.

After I finally got it together, I was able to do some of my work for the pack as long as it didn't require me to leave my room. The guys haven't told anyone what happened at the lake and I agreed we would keep it a secret until I hit the grave. For now, the pack thinks I caught a cold and that will be the story we run with.

"Hey Aya, how you doing over there? I know flying sucks when you aren't feeling well." Kyle said. I glanced over at him while he rubbed the back of his head.

I smiled softly and shook my head. "I'm getting better.... It's not all that bad, thankfully." I said with a raspy voice that didn't really strengthen my case to them, but if only they knew why my voice was so hoarse. They wouldn't look at me like I needed to down a bottle of meds. "I'll be fine. Just tired is all." I added.

He sighed and nodded. "Fine. I'll take it." He muttered and I'm starting to have a feeling that he knows more than he's letting on or he's just that perceptive. Ugh...brothers.

-POV Donna-

Three Days Later

I looked over my soldiers' training and getting their weapons ready. I do like guns, but they are much too loud for our ears, so we stick to hand to hand and more rudimentary tools of war instead. Heightened senses do have their draw backs. "Mother." Malerie called, walking up to me with her new plaything. My second in command no less. At least she has taste.

"Is it time yet? I'm getting bored and I want to strangle that girl!" She growled darkly while her Lycan pushed to resurface.

"Not yet, dear. Soon. Very...very soon. We must wait until their guard is down."

"If I may, Luna?"

"Yes, Arthur?" I asked, turning to the man standing next to Mal.

"I have been watching the movements. All the guests have arrived and the parties and festivities are in full swing. The pack hosting is completely oblivious and even our seer can't find any holes in their armor.

I rose up from the map I was working on and nodded. "Alright, then. The ball is tomorrow night. We will strike then. If our initial plan falls through, I want that girl alive so I can kill her myself. Everyone else, can drop dead." "But mom, what about Conri and the others?"

I rolled my eyes and sighed. "I already have you, my precious daughter. I don't need my sons anymore." I giggled lightly and she winced a bit before nodding.

"Yes, mother."

"Good, now go get ready. We will destroy everything tomorrow night." I nodded to the two of them and walked off to my tent. I need to prepare just as much as they do. I turned to see my witch sitting on my couch. "I hope you are right about this or we are going to be massacred." She warned.

I scoffed. "You and your sister are the reason we are even here, so if she is misleading us then her head will roll!" I growled back, flashing my wolf's eyes toward the woman who dared to challenge me. She raised her hand and bowed her head before taking her leave. "Y-Yes, Luna."
