The Unwanted Luna

Their Mate, My Saviors Chapter 60

-POV Richard-

That bitch!! That disgusting entitled bitch!! I slammed my hand against the wall, earning another yell from my rather close...next-door neighbors. I didn't care though. The only way I was going to get my revenge was if I could get out of here. That is my only focus and I will not be deterred from it! Even my own father is making me sit here. Thinking I need to cool off. I roll my eyes irritably at the thought...the audacity! Who is he to tell me how to feel?!

While I continued my internal monologue, I was rudely interrupted by that incessant buzzing noise and groaned irritably. Why don't they ever stop coming in and out of that stupid door! "Kingsley!"

I turned to the guard as he unlocked my cell. "What?" I growled. [wpdiscuz-feedback id="fhvo8bi69j" question="Please leave a feedback on this" opened="1"]J O BNIB.COM asking for your feedback on this book.[/wpdiscuz-feedback]

He pursed his lips and turned away from the entrance. "It looks like today is your lucky day." It didn't seem like he wanted to let me out of here. "It seemed like your only witness never showed up in court. You are officially a free man." The overweight donut eater added sarcastically. I grinned menacingly and walked out. The clerk gave me my clothes and I quickly put them on in my designated shower stall, used the disgustingly cheap razor to shave and look presentable, then, I finally walked out of the jail as a free man. As it should be! I looked around and found my men waiting for me with a car. "Welcome back, sir." One of them called.

I put on my sun glasses and ignored the flashing cameras while I hopped in my car. We drove in silence until we reached my mansion. It looked just the same as it had when I was told my pet was gone. I growled irritably at all the nonsense that has ensued since, instinctually rubbing my neck as I felt that man's giant hand around my neck almost immediately. Was he even a human?! No one is that big.

When my door opened, I stormed out of the car and into my home, to be met by Tanya. Great. My mood completely deflated when I looked her over. Nothing like my pet. I don't want this overdressed doll. I want her! Tanya was dressed in a tight A-line dress with white polka-dots and black chiffon fabric. Her matching white heels held her hourglass figure on display and I clicked my teeth at the sight. I'm sure my father has everything to do with her even being here. She cleared her throat. "I'm happy to see you are home." She said with a grin. It was like she was reading a teleprompter!

I huffed and stormed up to her, wrapping my hands around her neck. She gasped and her eyes bulged in terror...almost making me smile. "I'm sure you are. What the fuck took you so long?! Better yet...why are you in my house?!" I bellowed.

She tried to shake her head, looking anywhere for help, but no one in this house would help her. They have all learned to turn a blind eye and they had better make sure they keep it that way. "Please." She whispered. I let her go but returned her plea with a back hand slap to the face.

As she fell in a heep on the floor, I towered over her. "I will do whatever I want to you! You don't get to plead!" I shouted and she started shaking while she forced herself to nod.

Good...maybe I misjudged her. She will be a good replacement.... For now.

Someone cleared their throat behind us and I shot up to glare at the middle-aged woman staring back at me with a familiar grin of darkness I'd noticed on myself in the mirror. "Who the hell are you?" Tanya pushed herself away from me and I noticed her ankle was swollen. Yummy. "I...I asked her here to help us. She knows where Ayame is." Tanya whispered.

I cocked my head and stepped on Tanya's foot, walking over her body, now screaming behind me. "Go on...Ms...." I pressed, expecting a name from the woman, and holding out my arm for her to take. She hesitated before graciously taking it. "Ms.Oden is fine." She said.

My grin grew. "From Oden Industries?"

She chuckled as we walked to my sitting room. I ushered her to take a seat and I sat across from her. "Yes, my husband had just retired three years ago. I'm the triplet's mother and I have a deal for you."

Triplets...? Wait, those men that almost snapped my neck when Ayame was taken back to my hotel...back to me...where she belongs. She's their mother? Interesting. "Oh really?" I leaned back and a maid placed drinks and snacks on the table in front of us. "And what might that be?" "I heard from a reliable source that Ayame was taken by a prince of our nation and is currently being held there. I'm not sure if my sons have gone to retrieve her or not, but even if they have, she is now in a vulnerable state. I want to keep her that way so I can hand her back to you and make sure everything else goes back to normal." She sipped her tea like a true lady of old money and I nodded, brewing it over. Taken? Ayame is mine!

"I have Tanya now. What makes you think I want that whore back? She's been touched by your sons and tossed around like a used toy. She is worth nothing to me anymore." I lied.

She smirked and placed the tea cup back on the table. "You and I know that isn't true and I'm sure Tanya would prefer not to have any bruises for your...close-ups. You both get to save face if you can have that bitch locked up back where she belongs."

I thought about her idea for a moment, and it was purely diabolical. "Alright. I don't see why not. Having two playthings is better than one."

"Oh, I'm sure it is, especially when you can sell her or throw her away whenever you want. No one will miss her and once I'm done, no one will want her back either." She confirmed.

"Do I have your word on this?"

"Of course. I have a plan to make this happen and I will not fail." She rose to her feet and held out her dainty hand. "There is too much at stake for the both of us." She added under her breath, but I decided to let it slide.

I nodded and shook her hand. "Allow me to walk you out."

"Oh, no need. I know where the exit is. We'll chat soon."

Oh, I'm sure we will. -POV Ayame-

I finally put the last curl in my hair and brushed out my lilac sundress. It really was one of my favorites. I clipped my hair back and walked out of our room with a pep in my step. It's been weeks since we realized Richard may be more of a threat than we thought. Because I missed the court date, that was all too real. He was let out two weeks ago and...and to be honest, I'm horrified, but it's not completely impossible to ignore it when I have a lot to focus on.

In particular, my father is awake now and I make it a point to see him every day I can. Today was one of those days and I was really excited. I have a feeling he will be let out soon and every day I hope he's feeling better than before. He is a stubborn one though. He even tried to escape the hospital a few times to see me instead. I made it down the stairs and Kyle was heading out of the kitchen. "Sup Aya?"

I giggled at my nickname and waved my hand towards the door. "I'm going to meet with my dad today. We have a lot to talk about."

"Well, let's get going. I'd just finished a meeting with the guys. They won't be able to come back to the land of the living until they are done in there. It's going to be a while."

I rolled my eyes. "You are just trying to avoid work."

He snorted and directed us out of the room. "That is exactly what I'm doing. Hurry up before Vince catches me."

We raced out on one of the warmer days in July and I was shocked that it was already mid-summer. I could finally wear dresses without freezing to death and now that most of my wounds have healed, it was nice to change it up a bit. As we walked toward the hospital, many were bowing to me and I blushed and waved back. "Getting used to it yet?" Kyle asked me mockingly.

I huffed and turned my head. "Not even a little bit and now that Chaz's prisoners are also among the pack it's like everyone knows about me."

He laughed heartily and I scoffed at his enjoyment of my discomfort. "News travels fast among pack members miladay." He said mockingly. "Please stop doing that. I think I prefer Aya more."

He elbowed my arm lightly and I tossed him one back. By the time we made it to the hospital, we were rough housing the whole way into the lobby. "Hey, hey there are sick people here." The head nurse called and we quickly situated ourselves to look more presentable while she gave us that 'momma bear knows all' look. "Go on and see your dad, Luna."

I grinned happily and skipped in that direction. When I realized I wasn't being followed, I turned and saw Kyle talking quietly to the nurse. I'm sure it had something to do with Emily. They all said she was fine after surgery, but shortly after the party, Emily collapsed and apparently there was some internal bleeding that hadn't healed. This was unprecedented for a supernatural, and since then, she has been on twenty-four-hour watch. Even I haven't been able to see her.

I bit my lip and turned away. I didn't think there was anything I could do for him now. I just know he misses his mate and I miss my best friend. I headed over to my father's room and shook out all my stress before knocking on the door. "Enter." He bellowed and even his voice sounded better.

I walked in and plopped myself on my usual spot. He was doing some arm curls with the weights Vil brought him last week. He looked up from his set and grinned at me. "There's my little starlight."

I smiled brighter and nodded. "Hey dad. I just wanted to see how you were doing. From the looks of it...a lot better." I said, ushering towards the weights.

He grunted and finished his set. Then he kicked off the bed and placed the weights on the floor next to his heart rate monitor. By the size, they were easily sixty pounds each. I'm still trying to figure out how I never noticed my dad was a werebear. "They still won't let me out of here!" He called as if the nurses would hear him.

I patted his arm lightly. "Come on dad, you were literally locked up for years. I'm happy to see you got your strength back, but you also need to be careful. They still want to monitor you. You were pretty much living on water and nightshade the entire time you were in there." I sucked in a breath and he rested his hand on mine while I gripped the white blankets underneath me.

"I'm okay...I really am. All I needed was some good food and a flush of my system. I...I miss your mom, but I'm not going to go on a rampage. I made peace with it a long time ago. It hurt that you had to be the one to confirm it, but I knew it was true. Just like your triplets felt your pain while you were being tortured, I felt her loss when she took her final breath. I knew she fought for a long time. I'm sorry you had to go through that loss on your own. I think that is why I felt so hurt. I...I failed you as a father, starlight."

I nodded slowly and quickly wiped the tear away from my eye. "I...I still can't remember you." I whispered.

He chuckled. "Good. That means that fairy stayed true to his promise. I don't need you to remember me in the past starlight, but I did talk to your alphas and asked them to find the fairy for me. When they do, I will lift your memories. From what you have told me over the weeks, your life hasn't been all that great since your mother died and I want you to have some more happy memories to put a little pep in your step."

I looked up in shock. "Really? That's great!"

"It was supposed to be a surprise." Edon said, leaning in the doorway.

My dad scoffed as I walked up to my mate. He wrapped his arms around me and I snuggled in. "Oh pssssh. I'm not keeping anything from her anymore. I can finally let loose. It's great!" My dad shouted. If only he knew the whole story of the last two years. Him letting loose would be the least of my problems. He would kill Richard in a heartbeat.

"I'm sure it is." Vil said, slipping past Edon and I, but not before giving me a kiss on my head.

Edon let me loose and I scurried back to the foot of my dad's bed while he sat next to his brother. "What are you three doing here? I thought Kyle said you guys were busy?" I asked.

"We were, then we realized our Beta skipped out on us...again." Conri grumbled, walking into the room. He kissed my cheek then plopped into one of the cushioned chairs. "Hey, little one." I blushed and waved over to him.

"So, tell me, why does Kyle keep disappearing?" My dad asked. I'm sure it was light-hearted in intent, but the room fell almost immediately.

"Emily isn't doing too well." I said with a semi-smile.

He hummed, knowing what that meant. "He will need his friends' support." He said, looking towards the guys.

"We know. It's just hard to watch." Edon said, sadness covering his eyes.

"Do you think it was easy to lock you three in your rooms like eight year olds?" Kyle said, leaning on the doorway just as Edon had a few minutes ago.

Vil cleared his throat and stood up a little straighter. "Yeah...I guess not."

Kyle chuckled and saluted his alphas mockingly. "I'll go finish my side of the paperwork, but you three better not stay here all day."

"We won't be. We are just here to pick up Ayame." Conri said.

"For?" I asked with a bit of confusion.

"It's a surprise. Let's go." Vil said, stalking away.

I wanted to say something, but my dad pinched my cheek. "Go, have fun. Don't sit with me all day. You're still young, enjoy it." He leaned back on his pillow and rested his hands behind his head. "I have shows to watch."

I kissed his cheek and headed out after the men. There was a car waiting for us out front and I hopped in after them. "Where are we going?"

"Are you going to keep asking me that?" Vil said, slipping his finger under my jaw. I shivered at the touch and nodded.

"I...I'm just curious."

Edon slipped my hair to one side, and I immediately regretted my current predicament. I was sitting right in between these two and I knew they were going to do this until Conri stopped driving. "Well, that won't make a difference, princess." He kissed my neck and I leaned my head back a bit for better access.

"Oh...okay." I whimpered as my body craved to find out what's next.
