Eugene and Stella might show some mercy, but Cedric might not.
The expression on Melanie's face darkened, and she could hardly hold onto her
phone. Xander looked worried and asked, “What's wrong?”
Melanie came back to her senses and looked at Xander. “Cedric wants to meet
me.”
Because of this phone call from Cedric, Melanie was unsettled and even
considered buying a plane ticket to leave Jepton immediately.

no connection?” “What do you want to discuss with me today?” Melanie gradually
calmed down. She looked at Cedric and asked, “I don’t think I have anything to
do with you, Mr. Scott.”
Cedric stared sharply at Melanie. “Are you sure about that?”
“Is Eugene giving you the courage to speak to me like this? Melanie, you'd better
not forget you were once an employee of LeapCo. Even if that contract was
taken by Eugene, so what? I have ways and means to teach you a lesson!”
