Chapter 900 Choosing the Path to Hell
During the last encounter, Yulia came across a news photo showing Kingsley causing a ruckus at William's funeral.
Despite the extreme blurriness of the image, she could still identify him as the person who had rescued her at the Summers Residence.
Subsequently, she learned that the disrupter of the funeral had ties to the underworld. It struck her that Kingsley had always been in the company of Gavin Tanner at Summers Residence.
Being aware of the Tanner Family's standing in the Seavale underworld, Yulia had no hesitation in considering Kingsley as one of them.
In a conversation with Hillary, she accidentally brought up this matter, leading Hillary to draw this conclusion.
When Kendall got wind of the fact that the troublemaker hailed from the underworld, he felt relieved. He sneered and said, "Hahaha. An underworld figure? The Lawson Family's ascent to power owes much to the underworld's tactics! I'd love to see which clueless punk dares to challenge me for a woman!"
At present, the Lawson Family had already established a cooperative relationship with Jarett Cole
In the Solaris Province's underworld, there was no one whom the Lawson Family wouldn't dare to provoke.
After hearing this, Hillary immediately wore a smile and said, "Absolutely right, Mr. Lawson. You're quite the figure! Just your presence alone would undoubtedly terrify that kid. Once Yulia witnesses your imposing demeanor, she'll certainly yield to your commanding presence!"
Hillary worried that she wouldn't be able to handle the underworld figure alone.
However, with Kendall at her side, there would be no issues.
On the other side, at Leonardo's, Yulia turned pale and questioned, "H-How could you reveal our location to her? What if she actually shows up?"
Kingsley smirked. "I'm just concerned she won't show up. As long as she dares to come with Mr. Lawson, I'll help you resolve everything tonight." With an icy glare, he asked, "Is Mr. Lawson Peter Lawson?" If it were Peter Lawson, the matter would be even simpler.
A single call to Peter would likely make him back down immediately unless he wanted to further embarrass himself.
Yulia shook her head. "It's not Peter Lawson; it's Kendall Lawson, the eldest son of the Lawson Family."
"The eldest son of the Lawson Family?"
Kingsley's eyebrow arched slightly. Until this moment, he had believed Peter to be the eldest son of the Lawson Family.
In a flash, he recalled an encounter while investigating the explosion at the Nicholson Family Cemetery. He had asked Peter if Jonah Lawson was aware of Codrington Construction's activities at the cemetery. Peter's response echoed in his memory. 'My dad handed Codrington Construction to me. He hasn't been concerned about this subsidiary for a long time. Moreover, he has even started to hand over the affairs of the entire group to my brother. Why would he bother with my small construction company?'
It later became apparent that Jonah had been aware of this all along, and he was the mastermind behind the explosion.
It was clear that Peter had a shallow understanding of his father.
Back then, Kingsley had been solely focused on unmasking the culprit behind the cemetery explosion and had inadvertently overlooked Peter's reference to "my brother."
Now, in hindsight, the person pursuing Yulia had to be Peter's brother, Kendall.
As this realization dawned on Kingsley, a cold smile graced his lips.
Jonah had previously harmed Mason, seized his father's Minor Corporation, and was involved in his parents' deaths. These deeds were utterly unforgivable.
And now, his son was pursuing Yulia.
It was akin to choosing the path to hell!
Kingsley would first assess their character if an ordinary person wanted to pursue Yulia. If their character was questionable, Kingsley would simply drive them away.
However, given that this person was Jonah's son, the situation would not be easily resolved.
Unaware of the thoughts churning in Kingsley's mind, Yulia voiced her concerns. "The Lawson Family's influence is undeniably strong. You can't compete with him. I think it's best we leave this place quickly before they arrive!"
