Chapter 5929
Chapter 5929
Ten minutes later, Stefan exited the hotel through the emergency exit. He quickly headed into an inconspicuous black van in the
corner of the street.
The van quickly entered an alley and disappeared into the night after a few turns. No matter how good a person was at tracking,
they wouldn’t be able to find out who the van owner was in a short time.
After finally leaving the bustling streets, Stefan let out a sigh of relief before taking a sip of his mineral water that came all the
way from France; fatigue was written all over his face.
It was just a simple chat with Harvey, but he still felt completely exhausted for some reason.
The privacy glass on the back slowly rolled down, and a monk with nine tonsures on his head spoke up.
“How was it?”
Stefan quickly showed a stern expression.
“I met with Harvey, Master. He’s way too confident. Not only did he refuse to work together with me, he even said that he’ll deal
with Amos alone.”
The monk froze; his calm face contrasted with his surprised eyes. “Did you lower yourself like I told you to?”
Stefan smiled slightly.
“Not just that, I even told him everything I shouldn’t have. Despite all that, he still didn’t budge. Maybe he’s as strong as he says
he is. Maybe he can deal with Amos all by himself...
“But how is that possible?
“Seventy percent of the Smalt Sect’s resources are in Amos’s possession. Serval and Stinger can’t be dealt with that easily
either...”
Stefan sighed.
His master, the legendary Great Wall Vaati, narrowed his eyes for a long time.
“There are two possibilities.
“One: Harvey does have the strength to crush Amos, but I don’t think that’s highly likely. After all, the Smalt Sect has a powerful
background. We couldn’t find someone as capable as that.
“Two: what we offered him wasn’t enough. Some youngsters think of themselves as invincible. Harvey thinks no one can best
him.
“We need to show him pain. Soon enough, he’ll know that cooperation is key.
“Send word. I think Henrik’s been waiting for this for a long time. He wanted to know how his top disciple died, right? Now, we
finally have information. It’s never too late to tell him...”
Vaati spoke calmly; he didn’t seem to care that his words alone could get the outskirts into more danger. It seemed he’d use
everything in his power to achieve his goal.
Stefan hesitated for a moment, then sent a text that he had already prepared on his phone.
At the same time, inside a European-styled villa, an elderly man with white hair and a green robe slowly opened his eyes.
He gazed at the outskirts’ urban district. The air seemed to have materialized around him.
