Chapter 5920
Chapter 5920
About an hour later, Harvey York’s phone vibrated when a surge of texts came through.
Harvey glanced before entering the lobby’s tea room using the presidential suite elevator.
Dutch Cobb had already come with a stack of documents. As soon as he saw Harvey’s face, he respectfully bowed before him.
Harvey chuckled before telling the staff to prepare two cups of tea. The two then had a joyful chatter.
“How’s the investigation going?”
Dutch showed a strange expression.
“The sects have more than a thousand years’ history, Sir York. Information about them is extremely complicated. Separating the
truths and lies in the documents would be hard.
“Another thing, I’m afraid that you need to be more specific about which sect you’re trying to investigate so I can gather more
information.”
Harvey shrugged.
“The York family got me to meet Stinger.
“We didn’t have a pleasant time together.
“Not only did I make Stinger kneel as an apology, I also made him slap himself many times.
“It doesn’t matter how scheming of a person he is-it also doesn’t matter how much he can endure...
“Even an ordinary person would want to rip me to shreds if I did this to them.
“Since I still don’t fully understand how the sects operate, I might get into deep trouble if I don’t tread carefully.”
“Stinger? One of Amos Augustus’ right-hand men?”
Dutch gasped.
“He is no ordinary person, Sir York.
“He was previously a consul of Kronen Temple. After becoming a Great Wall and improving his martial arts, he became a
protector at Adenar Temple.
“At this point, even he has Amos’ complete trust.
“Other than that, Kronen Temple would look up to him for guidance because of his identity.
“Another thing I heard is that he has connections with India. They also invited him to promote their religion.”
Dutch briefly thought about the situation.
“Simply put, it’d be much more complicated after you went against Stinger, even compared to Stefan.
“People like Stefan are just poster boys for outsiders to see.
“But in reality, the most troublesome people in the sects are Amos and those around him.”
“He must be pretty impressive.
“Though, it’s only natural. He wouldn’t dare go against me after knowing my identity as the representative if that wasn’t the case.
“Come. Tell me more.”
After seeing Harvey’s calm expression, Dutch could tell he was not scared of the sects. He did intend to understand the sects
even further.
He would probably dispose of them if they were arrogant enough to ignore the law.
“Do you want to know everything? Or would you like to start from Amos first?”
Harvey thought about it momentarily.
“Let’s start with everything in general.
“Since I’m destined to face these people, I can only remain undefeated with all the information I get about them, right?”
Dutch sipped his tea without wasting any time.
“The sects started a thousand years ago.
“It was during the Dynasty of Prosperity.
“The Indians used everything they could to promote their religion here.”
