Chapter 21 - Surprise
Everyone in the palace started searching for Trisha and Polly. Bianca felt sick that someone had gotten into the palace and taken the girls under their watch. Who would have done it, and why? She, Gunnar, Alani, and Omar went into every room on the second floor, hoping whoever had them hadn’t had time to go far.
“We have the pups. Come to our bedroom.” Selena mindlinked everyone. When the two couples reached the King and Queen’s room, they burst out laughing. King Zaiden was covered head to toe in glitter while Trisha and Polly looked at him, horrified.
“We’re sorry, King Zaiden. We thought you were the bad guy,” Polly explained.
“Girls, where were you? We thought someone had kidnapped you.” Bianca said as she and Gunnar hugged them.
“We were practicing pretending to sleep when you and Daddy checked on us. When we looked out of our room, we heard you talking about something being wrong. We’re the Queen’s guards, so we went to her room to protect her. We hid in the corner where no one could see us. When King Zaiden opened the door, he scared us, and we covered him in glitter because we thought he was the bad guy,” Trisha said as she and Polly began crying.
“We messed up, and now you won’t want us to protect the Queen anymore.” Polly sobbed. Zaiden squatted down next to them, and Bianca tried not to laugh. He looked like a big glob of glitter.
“You did a great job. It’s not your fault that I scared you when you were trying to protect Selena. Will you still be her guards?” He asked them as they wiped their eyes. Selena smiled when she saw their little faces light up. Zaiden was a big softy when it came to his two favorite pups.
“Yes, we will still be her guards,” Polly spoke for both of them.
“Why don’t you two go get some sleep while Selena helps me get all this glitter off?” Zaiden said, standing up. Getting the glitter off would require a shower, and having Selena naked in the shower seemed the best solution.
“Okay, we’ll be here in the morning before breakfast,” Trisha said as they ran to their room. Bianca and Gunnar followed behind them.
“Are you feeling any better?” Gunnar asked. Bianca shook her head.
“No. I’m ecstatic that the girls are okay, but I still feel like something will happen. Isn’t it strange that Alani feels the same way? Neither of us has magic or anything special, so why are we both feeling like this?” She asked as they tucked the girls into bed. They may have pretended to sleep earlier, but as soon as their heads hit the pillow, they were snoring. Bianca and Gunnar stayed with them for a few minutes just to make sure they were really sleeping this time.
“It is weird, but I can’t explain it. Maybe because of where you came from, your intuition is better, and you can sense when something isn’t right.” Gunnar replied, closing the pup’s door.
“I don’t know, maybe, but I didn’t know anything was going on at Last Moon, and I lived there.” They reached their room, and Zaiden mindlinked them.
“Don’t worry about Trisha and Polly. I have a guard secretly watching the two little guards.” He chuckled when he thought about coming out the door and being covered in glitter. It had certainly taken him by surprise and may end up being more effective than he first thought in helping protect Selena.
“Thank you, King. Please let us know if anything strange happens. Both Bianca and Alani have a feeling that something bad is going to happen tonight.” Gunnar replied.
“We’ll let you know if we see or hear anything. Goodnight.”
“I guess there’s nothing else we can do. So we better get some sleep.” Bianca said, removing her clothes. Gunnar shook his head.
“Oh, there’s more we can do. I’m not tired enough to sleep yet. Why don’t we spend some time wearing each other out?” He had his clothes off so fast Bianca could only shake her head.
“You think that will work, huh? I don’t know. Maybe we’ve had enough excitement for one day.” Bianca took her panties off and tossed them onto the floor. Gunnar picked her up in his arms and carried her to the bed.
“Who said we don’t need some good excitement?” He asked, kissing her as he laid her down. Bianca was prepared to tease him a little more, but the minute his face was between her legs, everything else went out the window. Maybe Gunnar was right; she just needed to relax. What better way than having her mate give her multiple orgasms?
Down the hall, Omar had Alani bent over the arm of the couch, taking her from behind. She liked it rough, and he liked giving her what she wanted.
“Harder,” She said as he slammed inside of her harder and faster. When they both climaxed a few minutes later, Alani pushed him to the bed.
“Wow, you’re insatiable tonight,” Omar said as she straddled him.
“You know I think better when we’re having sex. I can’t wrap my mind around this uneasiness I feel. Why are Bianca and I only feeling this way? It just doesn’t make sense. When I can’t figure something out, it drives me crazy. So that means lots of sex for you.” Alani started riding him, going slower than usual. Omar didn’t mind. He loved watching her beautiful breasts bounce and her face contort in pleasure. She was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen.
Alani focused on pleasuring Omar while her mind wandered. She had always had good instincts, and she trusted them. Bianca was younger than she was and may not know how to use those instincts to her advantage. Alani leaned over so Omar could suck on her breast, and she moaned. He was so good at knowing what she needed.
What was going to happen? Obviously, it wasn’t going to involve the pups, so what else could it be? That’s when it hit her; it was so obvious that she should have realized it from the beginning. She jumped off of Omar and began putting on her clothes.
“What’s wrong?” He asked, putting his clothes on, too. Omar had no idea where she was going, but he knew it must be urgent.
“Bianca and I have been poisoned. We need to get to their room now.” She took two steps toward the door and suddenly clutched her stomach. Omar caught her as she fell; at the same time, he received a mindlink from Gunnar.
“I need a doctor now. Bianca is unconscious, and I don’t think she’s breathing.”
