Chapter CHAPTER SIX
“Allie Cat, please come to my office. I need to speak to you." Alpha Jamie called through the mind link; I stood up off my bed and walked to his office, wondering what it was he needed, he never called me to his office unless it was something serious.
My thoughts came to a halt when I caught sight of Alpha Jamie seated on the couch. After closing the door behind me, I moved to take a seat beside him.
"You wanted to see me?” he nodded and without preamble he began.
"You have come to be a vital part of this pack in the six months that you have been here, Allison. It seems almost as if something was missing in all the time that you were not here.” I smiled at that; I have never felt happier anywhere else.
"Ever since I met you in the forest that day, I have liked you. You reminded me of someone that meant a lot to me and still does. I'm sure you have noticed how much older I am that my Beta and Theta and there is a reason for that.” His grave tone worried me, for the first time since I'd met this man, he looked unhappy.
Memories of my father tickling me while I screamed with laughter and my mother making my favourite hot chocolate at midnight, rushed to the forefront of my mind. I was blinded by the few memories I had of my parents, memories I tried hard to hold onto, but somehow recalled less and less over the years.
“I- I'm sorry.” A sob escaped my lips as I shot up from my seat and made a beeline for the door, but stopped short with my hand on the doorknob.
My eyes shut tight, allowing the tears to spill. Opening them, I turned to see Alpha Jamie seated in the same spot with his head in his hands.
I might never have mentioned it to him but, I looked up to Alpha Jamie. The more I stared at him, the more I realised how much of an impact he's had on my life in the past six months. Sitting before me was a man who believed in me, a man who nurtured me and comforted me. Without either of us realising it, he treated me the way a father would his daughter.
“I would be honoured to call you my father.” I sniffed. His eyes shot up in shock, as if he didn't know I was still in the room.
“Allison...” he stood up.
“I know that Luna Sasha would be proud of the man you became after you lost them. Thank you so much for everything you have done for me, I cannot ever express how much happiness has come into my life since meeting you and the pack. Thank you. Thank you so much.” I cried and moved to hug him
“Shh, don't cry.” He held me tightly against his chest; I could feel his heart beating against my cheek at a steady pace.
“Thank you for everything... Papa Jamie.” I spoke timidly against his cheek and felt his arms tighten around me, placing a kiss on my head.
