The Secrets of the Panther

Chapter 81

IZZY

I heard Blake and Lena leave; I couldn’t help but sigh. I needed to process everything.

I turn to look at the sleeping angel by my side; she is asleep.

I move her little arm around my waist and sit up in bed, leaning back on the headboard.

I need to think about everything I saw.

I was in what I can only describe as a white room. Nothing was there, but I wasn’t alone. Both Puna and I were standing next to one another.

Puna comes closer; I know she is feeling everything I am.

“Izzy,” she says, pulling me out of my thoughts, “What the hell was that?”

I look back at her and sigh. “I think we saw everything that we felt from Helga,” I said. “The images were horrible, the pain she went through. We now know all those emotions we felt were; she suffered from everything. I don’t know whether to feel sorry for her because of the dark magic, but I think I know why Hecate wanted her sent to her for her punishment. The dark magic she used was pure evil.”

“Finding out the war was in six days from Clara was a close call, but I think she knew there would be more damage if we didn’t know what was coming,” I say to her.

Puna nodded in agreement, “I think you are right, but finding out that they will be here in six days doesn’t give us time to get everything settled,” she said. “I think we should look for the vampire and his witch mate.”

I stare back at her, shocked. “You mean just us; why? They will capture us if they have a chance,” I say to us.

Puna looks back at me. “Well, it’s Allie or us; who would you prefer?” She says.

I growl, “Puna, what’s gotten into you?” I ask her.

Puna stares at me, but she lays back down, placing her head on her paws but she says nothing.

Hecate took over my body as Clara, the moon goddess, and Helga waited for me in the white room, but Helga was the only one talking. She told me I could use my emotions to kill the vampire and his mate. She was never his mate. They spelled her somehow, but they wanted her to be there with them as she was the only one strong enough to use dark magic; if the other witch had used it, there would be more destruction, but it probably would have killed her, which the vampire would never allow.

Helga told me they plan to attack the pack in six days. She told me I was the only one to kill the vampire, as he would expect my mate to defeat him as it would be like it was the time before when he killed Clara’s mate. He wanted to protect his mate.

I close my eyes and sigh, “Puna, I think you’re right. I know why you want us to be grabbed by them, so we can kill him and be the only one to do it,” I say to her.

Her eyes open slightly, and she looks at me. Still, I carry on, “I think we should stay for three days and leave on the fourth day; we can find them with what Helga told us, we just need to tell them we know what Helga went through, leaving out certain things,” I say, “Just giving them enough to prepare to fight, what to expect but I don’t want Blake sacrificing himself for us, we are powerful, and we can take it.”

Puna nods, “I think that’s a good idea, Izzy; I want nothing to happen to Allie or Blake either,” she says. Sᴇaʀᴄh thᴇ Find ɴøᴠel.nᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

Thinking about Allie, I need to make a deal with her tomorrow. She will not be happy, but I think Alice, Kacey, and the two Lunas will protect her.

“Izzy,” Puna says quietly.

I look back at her; she sighs. “I think we should mate with mate,” she says.

I stare blankly at her. The thought of getting physical with Blake excites me, not like at the start; when I feared anyone touching me. But now, when I feel Blake’s touch, I want him to do more to me. I want him near me all the time.

Suddenly we can hear the door open, next door.

I stare at the side door. I know it leads to Blake’s room. I slowly move out of the bed and sit up on edge; I look at the door.

I want to see him; I want to be near him.

I move slowly.

I can hear Puna purr in my head at the thought of our mate, “Izzy,” she says.

I stop just outside the door. I look at Allie. Her soft snores come to my ears, but I know she won’t wake up.

My emotions are everywhere; I want to see him. But also, nerves are kicking in. I have never been intimate with anyone. But Blake is not everyone; he’s my mate.

I close my eyes and come face to face with Puna’s green eyes, “Puna, I want to mate with Blake, but,” I say to her, “Please let me do it my way.”

Puna says nothing, but she nods. She looks like a happy cat, and I know she can’t wait to mate with them; she has wanted to for a long time since we found out.

I move my hand and knock on the door.

Puna chuckles, but I can feel the nerves kicking in.

There was no answer, so I knocked again.

My nerves are flaring up, but Puna lays back down in my head. “Calm down Izzy,” she says calmly.

I nod to her. I move my hand to knock again, but the door opens.

There, standing in front of me, was Blake. He looks startled to see me.

I smile up at him.

“Izzy,” he says.

I cock my head to the side; I need to let the mate bond take hold of me.

I step forward. Blake never leaves the spot he is rooted to.

I step right up to him and go on my tiptoes, placing my lips on his.
