The Secrets of the Panther

Chapter 54

DRAKE

I stared at the beauty I hit over the head; I knew following that witch would be handy. She has been playing both sides.

I look at Helga, who was sitting tied up in the chair with that pathetic cousin of Izzy’s. “MMM... it seems we got what we came for,” I said with a smirk, looking between them.

I take the sleeping beauty off the floor and place her over my shoulder. “Take care of that panther,” I say to the vampire who has been toying with her. He looks like he wants her blood. I hate working with vampires.

As I was about to move, I stopped as soon as another spoke to me. “What about the witch?” he asks in a hiss.

I look back at them. “Take the witch with us. Michael can decide what he wants to do with her, but I think he will be too busy playing with this one again,” I say with a smirk, looking towards the sleeping beauty.

There was a loud growl coming from the other panther. “LET IZZY GO,” she shouts, glaring back at me. I look at my second in command, who walks in through the back door. “Take her to the car; I want to have a word with this one,” I said, growling towards the panther in the chair.

My second-in-command takes the sleeping panther off my shoulder and walks outside with her without a word.

I shut the door behind him.

I turn to look back at them both and snarl, but the panther growls again. “Let my cousin go,” she says with a demand in her voice, making me laugh aloud.

I nod to the vampire. “Take the witch to the car; I’m going to deal with this one myself,” I say as they look at each other.

They hiss but agree. One vampire unties the witch and heads out the back. Her eyes trace over the girl. I am so happy to have gagged her. If she started chanting, this would have been all for nothing. Sᴇaʀ*ᴄh the (ꜰind)ɴʘvel.nᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

Once all three left, it was just the panther and me; I leaned against the kitchen counter on the other side of her. The panther’s eyes stare back at me. “Why do you want my cousin?” she asks. “What is it you want with her?”

I smile. “Well, for one, she is gorgeous, and I want to have fun with her,” I smirk. “But if you must know, we are running late as someone has been dying to see her again, especially since it has been years.”

I move a little closer towards her, but she catches me off guard. “Michael wants her,” she says. They know he is alive; how the hell did they find out? That was the one thing we had going for us, the element of surprise.

I look back at her and cock my head to the side. “How would you know about Michael Panther?” I ask as I stare back at her, lingering over her.

She smirks. “Well, I guess I should warn you then. Izzy remembers everything that happened to her, including that sociopath, but also, she knows how Michael is connected to you.”

I couldn’t help but growl. “You know nothing.”

The panther laughs. “I know who tried to kill him, but it wasn’t Izzy. I know you have little time left, as I know what my cousin did to you and Elder Johnson, but I know you know nothing about Izzy.”

The bitch is getting on my nerves. I walk straight up to her and smirk as I kneel in front of her. “Oh really, she is a panther,” I say. “Nothing special about her, and as for the Elder, he can’t wait to have his hands on her. She is the key to the alpha and his pup. They want her back. They have to do some things for Elder and others, but by the time they find her, she will die.”

She looks at me; I can tell her panther is close by as I can sense it. I can feel my beast looking at her. “They know more; we should take her with us,” he says with a snarl. “We can beat it out of her and make her talk.”

I couldn’t help but smile at the thought of torturing her, but we need to get out of there because of the patrols, as this was a whim of capturing her. Once the panther was tied up, I used her phone to contact Izzy to come to the house; it was a good touch.

I got up and was about to walk away until I clenched my fist. I drew it back and punched her square in the face, knocking her chair back onto the floor. She lays on her back and grunts, but I say nothing. I used my feet to kick her and leaned over to punch her a few more times until she was knocked out.

I slowly get up and look back at my handy work; I love hurting and torturing people, especially when they don’t give me what I want or don’t shut up.

I look at my hands; my shoes are covered in her blood. I walk towards the back door and head straight into the SUV we came in, which we only pulled up when my second in command found Izzy outside.

I climb inside and sit in the back with a passed-out Izzy on one side of the car and a gagged Helga sitting beside her. The panther’s blood fills the air; I can’t help but look toward Izzy, making sure she is still out, which she was. I smirk, but Helga’s eyes widen when she sees the blood on my hands and shoes.

I looked towards Helga. “I won’t worry about that panther; she won’t say much for a little while,” I said. “Well, not for an hour. We need to move locations, especially now we have Izzy.”

Helga glares back at me but can’t talk because of the gag in her mouth. I can’t help but smile once more.

I cock my head to the side. “I wonder if the pack members here would be forthcoming knowing that you sent her to her death by Michael, I should leave you here so they can deal with you, but I know Michael wants you, and I can’t forget Elder Johnson will want to know why you were here too,” I say to her.

Her face is blank as she stares back at me.
