The Road to Rebirth Her Fresh Start and His Late Sorrow

Chapter 186

"Nancy, could you blow on it? It won't hurt as much if you do."

Nancy paused for a moment, ignoring Judson's request. After she finished bandaging his cut, she gently blew on it, her cheeks slightly red, and then stood up awkwardly. "I'm going to take a shower."

Every time she faced Judson's pleading puppy eyes, she never quite knew how to say no.

Judson watched her hastily retreat with amusement sparkling in his eyes. No matter what version of Nancy he got, he adored her all the same.

Just then, Nancy's phone buzzed. It was a number he didn't recognize. Without much thought, he answered it.

Cyrus' voice came through the line, "Nancy, it's me. I want to meet up. There's been a misunderstanding, and I refuse to believe you really like Judson. You're just using him to get back at me, right?"

Judson couldn't help but chuckle coldly at Cyrus' words. "Nancy's in the shower right now; she doesn't have time for you."

"Judson?!" Cyrus was furious. "Why is Nancy showering at this hour?"

Judson's voice was sharp, "It's nine in the evening, Cyrus. Why do you think? Maybe we're busy doing something... intimate."

Cyrus lost his composure. "Judson, you better stay away from Nancy. She's my wife!"

Judson's smile didn't reach his eyes. "Nancy might be your wife, but Lena isn't. And Lena and I are quite happy together, so stop bothering us."

With that, he hung up, not giving Cyrus a chance to respond. He glanced at the noise from the bathroom and calmly blocked Cyrus' number. Nancy was his.

"The number you have dialed is currently unavailable. Please try again later..."

Cyrus hurled his phone to the ground in frustration, swearing under his breath. "Damn it!"

Caleb, standing nearby, didn't dare to speak, merely shrinking into himself. The vast living room was eerily silent.

Cyrus' phone rang again, and his expression lit up, hoping it was Nancy. But when he checked, his face fell once more.

"Hello?" he answered curtly.

Sarah's voice was cheerful. "Hey Cyrus, The Grey Group has agreed to the contract. Can you come with me tomorrow? There's a great amusement park nearby where we can relax afterward."

Sensing Cyrus might refuse, Sarah quickly added, "If you have a good time, we can invite Nancy next time."

Cyrus' fingers twitched, his expression darkening. "I'll come by tomorrow."

He hung up before Sarah could say more.

Caleb watched, unsure whether to speak up. Finally, he took a chance, "Mr. Gordon, if Mrs. Gordon

catches you spending too much time with Sarah, she might get upset..."

They already had their issues.

Cyrus scoffed at Caleb's suggestion. "I'm more worried Nancy won't get upset at all."

He feared Nancy's heart was already with Judson.
