The Rise of a Master: It Starts With Rejection

Chapter 931

Selmer immediately stepped in and said, "Ms. Emmerson, Mr. Zeller instructed us to keep him alive. Please don't act impulsively."

However, Louise was more direct. He stepped in front of Shane without hesitation. He had just arrived and was not that familiar with Melissa or the others, so he only followed Felix's orders.

"Alive? No way!" Melissa shot back, her voice filled with fury. "Felix knows exactly what's going on here. Don't try to fool me!"

Blinded by hatred, Melissa could not think rationally. The sight of Shane brought back horrifying memories of being treated like livestock at the auction, and it made her seethe with rage.

She commanded, "Ronan, kill him for me!"

Ronan did not hesitate. Although he had great respect for Felix, his heart belonged to Melissa. He warned Selmer and Louise, "Get out of my way, or I might just use force on you too."

Though Ronan was only at the Blood Realm major mastery stage while Selmer and Louise were True Blood Realm fighters, as a member of the Warlock family, he could fight above his level.

Once his bloodline powers were activated, his combat strength would increase significantly, and he was confident he could take them on.

"Mr. Zeller's orders must be followed!" Selmer declared as he moved to block Ronan. Although he respected Melissa, his loyalty was ultimately to Felix.

"Melissa," Selmer said firmly.

Meanwhile, Billy was no help at all. Instead, he casually pulled out a packet of chips and began snacking while watching the unfolding chaos like it was a show. His nonchalant attitude left everyone speechless. Thankfully, Nala stepped in with a stern shout. "Enough of this nonsense. Don't you trust Felix?" Gritting her teeth, Melissa let out a cold snort and stormed into the back room. She knew if she stayed, her anger would push her to force Ronan to act.

Selmer exhaled in relief. At least the immediate tension had dissipated, giving them time to call Felix. Ten minutes later, Felix arrived at the clinic. Melissa was the first to rush to him, asking, "Felix, aren't you going to avenge me?"

Without a word, Felix raised his hand and pointed a finger at Shane. The man collapsed unconscious to the ground.

"We can't kill him yet," Felix explained calmly. "But don't worry, he'll get what's coming to him. Or do you think I'd ever let scum like this walk free?"

Melissa's anger cooled as she looked at Felix, her tone softening. "Of course, I trust you. It's just frustrating to let this bastard live even a moment longer."

Felix had one more task before heading to Martial City-obtaining the Dragonspine from Kayden. Given the unknown dangers that awaited him, he needed every advantage he could get.

Fish Men were mysterious. Killing Shane now, who happened to be Kayden's grandson, might alert Kayden to Felix's actions. He needed to play it safe.

As the sun rose, a new day began. At the Skyward Guild, the sect leader Terry was inspecting his disciples' training while Stamford accompanied him.

"Are you really not worried at all?" Stamford asked with a wry smile.

Ever since the Martial Arts

Having witnessed Felix's victory at the Boneforging Realm level during the Competition, Terry felt chills down his spine. With Felix's growth and the addition of the Lone Paragon, while he might not be able to defeat the entire Skyward Guild, few could stand in his way.
