Chapter 86
Milo blinked his starry eyes. He looked at Randall with a pitiful expression and said, “Mr. Reeves, didn’t you say you would sleep with us? Are you avoiding us and choosing not to sleep with us? I’m really sad.”
Milo’s voice was very cute.
Even his daughter had never been this affectionate with him, yet this little boy acted so clingily toward him.
Randall didn’t find it cheesy at all. Instead, he quite enjoyed it.
However, that didn’t change the fact that he wouldn’t sleep with them.
“There’s no use being clingy. Go to sleep now.”
After finishing his words. Randall lay down directly on the sofa, leaving Milo furious like a pufferfish.
Milo spoke to Oliver through telepathy, “Oliver, that scumbag dad won’t sleep with us.”
Oliver replied, “Stop talking. I don’t want to sleep with you anymore.”
Upon hearing that his brother wouldn’t sleep with him, Milo quickly grabbed Oliver, using his cuteness to coax him. “No, Oliver. I’m scared. You have to accompany me. What if I need to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night?”
Oliver’s temple twitched. He knew that if he didn’t sleep with his brother, his brother would dismantle the entire Reeves family’s house.
Reluctantly, he agreed. “I’ll accompany you. Let’s sleep.”
Milo happily pulled the blanket over himself upon hearing that. He closed his eyes and fell asleep.
Oliver looked at his silly little brother and finally felt some peace.
He also closed his eyes and went to sleep.
In the middle of the night, Milo, who was sound asleep, seemed to feel someone covering him with a blanket. He groggily opened his eyes, thinking that it was Daddy covering him.
He murmured sleepily, “Daddy.”
Randall’s gaze trembled as if something had stirred inside him.
Thinking that Milo had woken up. Randall looked at him, but Milo rolled over and fell back asleep.
Was Milo talking in his sleep?
Randall glanced at Milo and then at Oliver. Oliver’s sleeping posture was relatively proper, but Milo’s sleeping posture was all over the place.
He had covered Milo with the blanket several times, and his sleeping position changed every other moment.
One moment Milo would be at the head of the bed, and then he would be at the foot, turning himself 180 degrees. He would even sleep curled up like a little dog. His sleeping posture was simply bizarre.
Randall lay back on the sofa to sleep, but the sound of Milo calling him “Daddy” kept echoing in his mind.
Why did he feel so unsettled when a little kid called him Daddy?
Was it because he hadn’t heard anyone call him Daddy in a long time, and it inevitably touched his heart?
Milo usually called him Mr. Reeves, which was the correct address, but it made him feel a pang in his heart. However, when Milo sleepily called him Daddy just now, he felt a wave of joy and even happiness.
What was happening to him?
Randall pushed away his thoughts.
In another room, Christine was soundly asleep, holding Lindsay in her arms.
Lindsay nestled in Christine’s embrace, sleeping comfortably.
In Lindsay’s dreams, she arrived in a fairy tale kingdom where flowers bloomed everywhere. Mommy was the queen, Daddy was the king, and her two big brothers were little princes. And she was the happiest little princess.
The next morning, Christine styled Lindsay’s hair, creating a beautiful hairstyle for her. She also added a pink bunny hair clip that she had given to her. Lindsay looked even cuter.
Her daughter’s early departure had always been a pain in her heart. Sometimes Christine would imagine that if her daughter were still alive, she would be the same age as Lindsay. She loved styling Lindsay’s hair, hoping to make her look like a princess.
Randall, Oliver, and Milo woke up as well. Milo looked at Lindsay and said, “Little Tail, you look really beautiful today. Did

Mommy style your hair?”
Lindsay nodded, feeling delighted. When she saw Daddy approaching, she ran to him to show off her hairstyle. Mommy had styled her hair, and it looked so beautiful.
Randall looked at his daughter, who was proudly showing off, with a slight smile on his lips and eyes sparkling with happiness.
Christine looked up at Randall and found him better than she had imagined. After all, he didn’t have bandages all over his head, but the dark circles under his eyes were quite heavy, indicating that he hadn’t slept well.
Randall had spent the entire night covering Milo with the blanket. Although he slept next to them, his sleep was very light, and he knew every time Milo turned over.
He knew when Milo kicked off the blanket, he would get up to cover him again. He must have covered Milo at least twenty. times throughout the night, so he didn’t sleep well.
Christine apologized slightly. “Mr. Reeves, I reminded you not to sleep with them. You see, you have such dark circles under your eyes. You didn’t sleep well the whole night, right?”
Randall replied coldly. “I slept on the sofa.”
Christine stared at him with a puzzled expression. “You slept on the sofa, so why do you still have such dark circles?”
Randall gave her a deadpan look and said. “Your son kicked off the blanket twenty times last night.”
Christine was taken aback. So, Randall had dark circles because he got up in the middle of the night to cover Milo with a blanket twenty times? Christine didn’t expect someone like Randall would be so considerate and attentive toward a child.
Perhaps when it came to dealing with children, he was quite good.
“I’m really sorry.”
Christine smiled awkwardly.
After breakfast, Christine planned to send her two sons to school.
However, Randall spoke up. “I’ll take them. After all, I’m also taking Lindsay.”
Lindsay clapped her hands happily at the thought of going to school with her two brothers.
After seeing Lindsay’s joyous smile, Christine didn’t want to dampen her spirits and agreed.
“Thank you for taking care of my sons. I’ll take a taxi to the hospital later,” Christine said.
“No need,” Randall said in a low and firm voice. “I’m also going to the Reeves Group. I can drop you off at the hospital on the
way.”
Christine initially wanted to refuse, but Randall wouldn’t take no for an answer.
After breakfast, Randall sat in the driver’s seat. They were about to leave.
Suddenly, Milo spoke up. “Mommy, I think my smartwatch is in scum… Mr. Reeves’s room.”
“Wait here. I’ll get it for you.”
After saying that, Christine then returned to the room. Randall’s room was next to Lindsay’s.
As Christine entered, she could faintly smell the sunshine–like scent that seemed to linger on Randall.
The scent reminded her of their previous kiss, causing her face to flush and her heart to beat faster.
Christine scolded herself internally. Some said women would become more desperate for men as they got older.
However, she wasn’t even thirty yet, so why was she obsessing over a man?
Just a whiff of his scent was enough to make her thoughts wander.
Christine wanted to find her son’s smartwatch as soon as possible and then made a quick retreat.
As she glanced at the bedside table, she noticed a blue smartwatch. It belonged to Milo.
As Christine went to take the smartwatch, her gaze suddenly fell upon the bathroom.
The bathroom!
There must be a toothbrush that Randall had used in there.
She could take his used toothbrushes for paternity testing!
The thought excited Christine a little.
She quickly walked into the bathroom and saw two small toothbrushes neatly placed in the lower compartment of the

toothbrush holder.
There was also a toothbrush and a blue cup for adults on the upper level.
A gleam of excitement flashed in Christine’s eyes. That was it!
