Chapter 23
Despite Oliver and Milo’s strong–willed and independent nature since a young age, upon seeing the conclusive paternity test. results, they should have no choice but to acknowledge their mistaken beliefs. Faced with irrefutable scientific evidence, they had to accept that Randall was not their biological father.
Christine realized that she needed to devise a plan to obtain a sample from Randall for the paternity test as soon as possible.
“Mommy, what’s wrong?” Oliver asked curiously, noticing the worried expression on Christine’s face.
Chuckling awkwardly, Christine replied, “I lost a game, and now I need my sons‘ help to seek revenge. It makes me seem weak, doesn’t it?”
“We are your sons, and it is our duty to protect you. Whoever dares to mistreat you, we will make sure they regret their actions,” Oliver responded without hesitation.
Christine felt overwhelmed with happiness, realizing how fortunate she was to have two caring and protective sons by her side. It was as if she had saved the entire galaxy in her past life, allowing her to enjoy the warmth and comfort of her sons.
“Seeing you both puts me in a wonderful mood, my darlings. I am now craving some foie gras.”
Milo uncovered the lid of the dish containing the delectable foie gras and said softly, “Why don’t you give it a try?”
Accepting the knife and fork offered by Oliver, Christine took a mouthful of the nourishing delicacy and savored its. exquisite flavor.
“How is it? Is it delicious?” Milo asked, his voice filled with innocence and anticipation.
“Our Milo’s culinary skills surpass those of even the chefs in five–star hotels,” Oliver proudly exclaimed.
Milo felt a sense of satisfaction upon hearing Oliver’s praise, knowing that he had succeeded in bringing joy to his mother through his cooking.
Every day, being able to prepare delicious meals for her mother was a fulfilling and rewarding task for Milo. It gave him a great sense of accomplishment and pride.
The next morning.
Christine dropped Oliver and Milo off at the kindergarten arranged by Henry, then headed straight to Reeves Group.
She knew that her two determined sons would not give up easily.
As Oliver was Magnate, the financial titan in the western hemisphere, he wouldn’t just attack Reeves Group and disrupt a few of their bidding projects.
There was a saying in the financial realm, “When Magnate is enraged, it’s like a barren wasteland–no prosperity can
flourish!”
Since Oliver was convinced that Randall was their scumbag dad and wanted to seek revenge, he wouldn’t settle for merely causing superficial damage to the Reeves Group.
He would plan to inflict deeper and more impactful blows.
Putting aside Oliver’s economic strategies, Milo’s proposed infertility powder was sure to leave a lasting impact on Randall. Christine knew that her second son possessed exceptional skills in traditional herbal medicine, and his infertility powder. would ensure that Randall’s bloodline would come to an abrupt end.
Although Christine found Randall detestable, she did not wish to harm the innocent.
Therefore, to prevent any irreversible consequences, it was crucial for her to obtain a sample of Randall’s hair or blood as soon as possible and proceed with the paternity test with her two sons.
“Boss, the one that got away is back,” exclaimed Derick.
Derick’s eyes brimming with excitement as he reveled in the thrill of sharing this captivating piece of gossip.
“Watch your words!”
Randall was engrossed in reviewing documents, feeling increasingly agitated by the various issues arising within the subsidiary companies over the past few days.
Derick quickly apologized. “I’m sorry, boss. The mother of those two little mischief–makers is here to see you.”
The mother of the little mischief–makers? It was Christine Paul.
Randall wondered about the purpose of her visit.
“Let her in,” Randall said.
As Christine walked in, Randall’s gaze scanned Christine from head to toe, realizing she was not wearing her usual wig, pale

foundation, or mask.
It seemed that Christine had abandoned her disguise as Nancy.
Randall couldn’t help but smirk. His previously vexed and restless state suddenly cased upon seeing Christine.
Christine locked eyes with Randall, who was currently sipping his coffee. Although knowing Milo was presently at the kindergarten, Christine still had some concerns. Given Milo’s capabilities, it was highly possible that he had discreetly mixed his infertility powder into Randall’s food and drinks.
“So, you’re here to join me for coffee?”
Randall noticed Christine’s gaze fixed on the coffee resting on his table.
Randall found it amusing that Christine came all the way here without saying a word but just staring at the coffee.
Christine hastily waved her hand and said, “No, I don’t want coffee. I actually can’t stand the taste of it.”
Just kidding. Christine thought. What if that cup of coffee had been tainted with Milo’s infertility powder? Although she had no plans of having more children in her life, she certainly had no desire to ingest such a concoction.
Randall observed Christine’s peculiar behavior and said in bewilderment, “Are you trying to poison me with this coffee?”
Christine froze momentarily, wondering why this man was so astute. She had simply glanced at his coffee for a moment.
“Mr. Reeves, do you suffer from paranoia? Besides, I just arrived and don’t possess any extraordinary powers to poison your coffee as the CEO of Reeves Group. Yet, it’s good that you’re cautious and care about your consumption. It’s always wise to be cautious when others handle your food and drinks. After all, given your track record of misdeeds, who knows if someone might hold a grudge and seek revenge.”
Christine felt like she had given him a friendly reminder to be mindful of his diet.
However, Randall scoffed, perceiving her words as a veiled insult.
“Are you implying that I’ve done so many bad things that I’ll face the consequences?” Randall sneered.
Christine had genuinely meant well, but she couldn’t comprehend the twisted logic of this despicable man.
“Mr. Reeves, I was merely suggesting that you should be cautious and take care,” Christine Paul replied, exasperated. “Better safe than sorry, right?”
Randall stood up and approached Christine, wrapping his arm around her waist. With a sinister smile, Randall said, “I have never expected you to care about me so much.”
Christine was utterly speechless. There were rumors in Archiland that Randall had no interest in women. Yet whenever she encountered him, it seemed like he either embraced or pinned her against a wall. How did those rumors even come about? Were those people blind?
Derick, witnessing Randall holding Christine, was dumbfounded. He had been by his boss’s side for nine years and had never seen him get close to any woman. But with this Christine, his boss either pressed her against him or embraced her, wearing a face that seemed eager to devour her.
It seemed like that woman was definitely the boss’s type.
The only downside was that she was not trustworthy!
Shocked by the situation, Derick received a sharp glare from Randall, prompting him to step out of the room immediately.
Noticing Derick’s exit, Christine grew anxious and thought, “What does this despicable man have in mind?”
Christine wanted to push away Randall, but suddenly she thought they were so close. It was the perfect opportunity to pull his hair for the paternity test.
Just as Christine discreetly reached out her hand, intending to pull Randall’s hair, he suddenly let go of her.
He sat directly on his office desk, exuding dominance with a hint of wildness as he said, “Speak up. Why did you come to see me?”
Christine Paul was speechless. They had been so close just a moment ago, and now he had pushed her away. This man’s mood swings were like flipping a book.
Randall’s instant and dramatic shifts in emotions were truly unbearable.
“Last time when I came, I accidentally lost a gold pendant. It’s quite important to me. I don’t know if you happened to see it?” asked Christine.
Gold pendant?
Randall’s eyes instantly showed a hint of nervousness. He had also lost a gold pendant before.
It was on that night six years ago.
A gold pendant? What does it look like?” Randall asked.
Christine replied, “It’s a gold pendant engraved with a wolf’s head.”
