Chapter 65
Chapter 65
I smiled sadly, as I watched Rielle and Rick, the tree shielding me from their view. My heart clenched at the sight and I was suddenly enraged. Wondering why and how she could steal my son, without remorse..
She whispered something to him and he giggled, baring his teeth. She held his hand, swinging him around. Any other person watching would think that she loves him so much, they’d never believe that she was the same person who kidnapped him.But I knew the truth. I know that she stole him from me, she stole them from me!
I came out of my room, with an excuse to the guard that I was going to just take a walk and that he could trail behind me to make sure I wasn’t running away. I was glad when he told me that I could go.
I clenched my fist, feeling the heat rise within me as anger coursed through my veins. I will never let her get away with this, I will fight with every ounce of strength I have in me, to reclaim what is rightfully mine. My children and becoming the Luna!
With each passing moment, my anger intensified and I tried to pull myself away, but for some reason, I couldn’t, I wanted to storm there, rip my son away from her, and punch that sly smile out of her face. But I knew th
would only cause me
more problems as she might retaliate by doing something much worse to Kai. I had to be patient and find a way out of this mansion.
I reluctantly tore my gaze away from them. Inhaling deeply as I struggled to fight back the tears that were threatening to cloud my features. I wouldn’t give her that satisfaction, I wouldn’t cry anymore, it was time to plan! I will not rest until my son is back, until I get back every other thing that was taken from me.No matter what it takes, I will reclaim what was stolen from me.
“Amara?”
I spun around quickly to come face to face with Giselle and as she looked at the sight, she nodded, her eyes laced with understanding and I sighed.
“Come, let’s go, come on,” she said, beckoning me to follow her and I hesitantly. walked with her, remembering our last conversation where she had wanted me to spill my secrets and told me to trust her.

I smiled and told her that since we were after all in the same boat, I could trust her. I then thoroughly convinced her that my ache was nothing to worry about.
I had not even walked about five steps when suddenly, a few guards appeared in front of me.
“What’s going on?” Giselle questioned with furrowed brows.
“We are here to take her in for questioning. Alpha’s order,” one of the guards said and my heart skipped a beat.
Questioning for what exactly? I glared at them as my heart raced, perhaps he found out that I was spying on Rielle and Rick.
They moved to grab my arms.
“I” I tried to shake them off.
“Let go of her, this instant! You know who I am!” Giselle yelled and they looked at each other as they released my arms from their grip.
“It’s The Alpha’s order, we can’t do anything about it.”
“Lucien ordered this?” She glared at them and they nodded.
“Fine, just let her be. She’ll go with you guys,” she said and I looked at her in appreciation.
“Letting a rebel walk free?” We turned back to see Rielle who had joined us, holding Rick with her.
My stomach somersaulted. It would be humiliating to let my son see me like this, and knowing Rielle, I knew that she wouldn’t hesitate to take any opportunity to make me feel worthless and humiliated in front of him.
“Was this your doing?” I asked her, my eyes narrowing to slits and she shrugged.
“Can’t take all the credit.”
“What did I do wrong this time?”
“You’ll see, take her,” she said to the guards and they rushed to my side, tightening their grip on my arms.

“Stop!, stop this, this instant!,” Giselle yelled and then turned to Rielle.
“You’re going to be a mother yourself soon, how, why are you doing this!!,at least for the sake of her son, please stop, don’t do this here. She won’t run away, on her own” she pleaded on my behalf and my heart fluttered.
she’ll go
Perhaps she wasn’t as evil as I had thought and was only trying to help me.
“Your concern for a rebel is touching, but perhaps if she had thought about all that, we wouldn’t be in this situation,” Rielle shot out and then turned to the guards.
“Take her away.”
I bit back tears as Rick watched with mouth wide agape as I was dragged away, with Rielle whispering something to him.
I was taken to the deliberation room, where Lucien, Greyson, and a few elders were already gathered.
Giselle, who had been following us, entered almost immediately, followed by Rick and Rielle. She was holding him, intent on making sure he witnessed everything being done to me.
“What is going on here?” Giselle demanded, glaring at Lucien.
I closed my eyes, struggling with the tears that threatened to fall.
“Do you know why you are here?“Lucien questioned and I shook my head, fearful of speaking so that my tears wouldn’t fall.
“Please–take–take Rick away from here,” I croaked out, blinking back the tears.
“No, he’s a man. He should watch and learn,” Rielle stated firmly as she smiled at
him.
“Show her,” Lucien said to Greyson and he moved close to me with a tablet in his hand.
He played a video. “Watch” he muttered and I stared at the screen, my breath. hitching in my throat as I realized what it was.
It was a video of me, in my room seeing that letter and looking around. suspiciously and then chuckling and tearing up the letter.

Someone had set up a camera in my room. So I didn’t even have any privacy.
“What are the contents of that letter?,” Lucien demanded and I swallowed hard, suddenly filled with rage as I clenched my fist.

“Seriously!!, setting a camera in her private space? Lucy,i’m disappointed!” Giselle yelled and hissed.
I chuckled, surprising everyone. “Since you kept a camera in my room, you might as well take the video forward to find out who put the letter there,” I stated and Rielle shook her head.
“Unrepentant traitor!”
Greyson took the video backward and I unclenched my fist and curled it tightly as anger coursed through my veins.
The person who dropped the letter was someone whose face was obscured. The person wore a hood as if they could detect that there was a camera in the room.
“Then ask your guards! you stationed them in front of my room! they should’ve seen the person who entered my room!” I shot out angrily.
“We found them dead, wasn’t that why you were able to get out to spy on Luna?,” Greyson bit out and I gasped.
Dead?, they were very much alive when I left them.
“No. I told them I wanted to go out for some fresh air..they were very much alive. when I left,” I shrieked, suddenly horrified, wondering what was going on.
“Or you went out, to give your associates enough time to murder them,” Rielle pointed out and I scoffed.
“Why would I risk doing that?”
“What does the letter say?,” Lucien asked again and I shook my head.
“I’m not sure, it was cryptic and I didn’t even understand it. I don’t even know who sent it!” I yelled out.
“Your associates in this mansion, who are they? mention them!” Rielle said and I glared at her, my heart aching as I saw Rick looking at us, confused.

“I don’t have any associates!” I shot out!
“Who helped you murder them?”
“Where are Eve and Norman?”
“Where were you laughing when you saw the letter?”
Lucien held up a hand to stop them from their questioning and the room became silent again.
“I can’t help you this time around if you don’t help us, Amara,” He said firmly and I couldn’t stop the tears anymore as they streamed down my face.
“I swear, I don’t know anything. I was surprised to–to see the letter–I know nothing about their deaths either,” I said in between sobs.
“If you aren’t guilty, you should’ve reported this to the Alpha as soon As you found it, but instead you went to spy on Luna,” one of the elders said and I shook my head.
“You were probably scheming on how best to kill her,” another said.
“I can’t believe you were almost about to become the Luna of this community,” another elder shook his head in pity.
Their words pierced through my heart, hurting me more than anything I’ve ever felt.
Suddenly, the ache in my chest returned and as I clutched my chest, I felt the air in my lungs being sucked away from me.
