Chapter 63
Chapter 63
I have decided that the best course of action was to find Lucien, alone, and what better place than his room?
If he was still on my side, he wouldn’t let Rielle go to his room and I was counting
on that.
The humiliation I have been receiving keeps getting worse and I didn’t think I could take it anymore.
I walked briskly to his room and the guards glared at me. I swallowed hard, hoping that the guards from that day hadn’t told them what transpired between us and how I lied.
“What business do you have here?,” he asked gruffly and I suddenly wished I was Eve. She’d know what to do or say and how to even sneak in without them. noticing, she told me that she’d done that before when she was telling me how Lucien loves me and that he would always look at a picture of me before sleeping.
“The Alpha sent me. He said I should wait in his room,” I said, confidently, gazing at their faces.
“Go back, ma’am. We have specific orders not to believe anything you say-
What the fuck!
“Who gave those orders? the Luna-”
“Save it. Just Go back before we are forced to throw you into the cell,” he said and I suddenly lost all the confidence I had.
“You have to believe
“Get back ma’am.”
“No, see, you have to help me, please-”
They kept interrupting me and the other guard glared at me.
“I think a few days in the cell will do you a few good. We heard how you almost made our colleague lose his job,” he said and I shook my head.

“It wasn’t intentional. Look, Luc–the alpha is on my side. He doesn’t trust Rielle and I know that you guys are his most trusted men, you should know–” I kept rambling until I saw them advance towards me and I knew what they were about to do.
I couldn’t just sit and watch them take me to that disgusting cell, so I turned around and fled.
I went back to my room and kept pacing around, thinking of ways to meet Lucien
alone.
There was a knock on my door and I hurriedly opened it, to come face to face with. the familiar hazel eyes.
It was the maid that brought Lucien’s letter to me when I was in the cell.
“I came to clean the room,” she said and I grabbed her arm, with desperation In my
eyes.
“Please, where’s lucien?-I mean, the alpha?”
She tried to pull herself free, but my grip tightened.
“Please, I need to have a word with him, I beg you, please,” I pleaded, the desperation now clouding my features.
She used her back to close the door and I let go of her arm, realizing that she wanted to tell me something.
“He’s in the deliberation room, alone. Rielle is in her room,” she was still saying when I cut her off.
“Thank you!”
I dashed out of the room, controlling the urge to run towards where Lucien was. I was close now and I could feel Nova’s excitement.
I pushed the door open, panting as I looked at a surprised and horrified Lucien. His expression then changed to being angry and I swallowed hard.
“Lucien-”
“What the fuck are you doing here?”

“To see you. I can’t do this anymore, I can’t wait and I need to know..are you still on my side?” I questioned as I moved towards the refrigerator while he watched me, visibly surprised.
“On your side..for?” he glared at me.
“I can’t bear the abuse and humiliation from Rielle anymore..”
“So what are you saying?,” he asked, cutting me off and I winced at his harsh tone. I didn’t want to believe what I was thinking.
“Lucien…”
“Alpha!, we are not mates, I can’t-”
“Lucien, she’s not here, nob*dy is here, we can talk freely–”
He stomped his hands on the table, loudly and I jolted with fright.
“What.”
“Shut up, Amara. Shut up and get out of here!” he growled and Nova whimpered and my eyes began to water.
He really wasn’t acting or faking it. He was really not on my side anymore.
“Okay–before I leave–where’s Eve?,” I demanded with tears in my eyes and he glared at me in disgust.
“I’ve been asking
ou that. Where is your sister!”
“You sent me a letter, assuring me of her safety, I was such a fool. I thought–,”I broke down in tears, unable to complete my sentence.
“What letter?” he demanded through gritted teeth.
I gasped. If he didn’t send that letter, then who did and why had that maid told me that it came from the Alpha?
“There was a–a maid, she brought the letter and I had thought it was from your because of the content and besides, she claimed it was for you,” I explained and he shook his head.
“Why would I send to a rebellious traitor!” He exclaimed.

“Let me see this letter. and where’s this maid!” He demanded and I shook my head.
“I tore the letter, so it won’t be found by Rielle-”
“Luna,” he corrected and the ache in my chest came back worse again.
“Yes, I didn’t want it to be found by her. And the maid–I forgot her name, but I’ve seen her in this mansion before. She even told me where to find you and that’s why I’m here,” I explained, sniffing as I wiped my tears.
“So that day in the cell-”
“It was to get information from you!”
I bit back the fresh set of tears that was about to drop. I wouldn’t be weak and keep on crying like this. I had to find a way to get out of this mansion. Now that I’ve acknowledged that Lucien wasn’t on my side, I knew he would take good care of our son and make sure nothing happens to him. It was now up to me to leave this place quickly and find Kai before he lost another b*dy part.
Lucien beckoned on the guards to come close and they walked towards us briskly.
“What is this maid’s name?,” he demanded and I shook my head, realizing that I never asked what her name was.
“I don’t know. But I left her in my room, she was about to clean it,” I revealed and he nodded.
“Go to her room and get the maid there,” he commanded and they left, then he turned to me.
“Stay here. This might be another ploy of yours to run away,” he noted and I nodded.
He was busy on his laptop and I glanced around, thinking of a conversation I was going to bring up as I wasn’t crying anymore.
“I can’t believe I thought you were on my side,” I said,in a bid to get him to talk to
- me.
He instead kept quiet and I sighed. “Lucien, can we please talk? The other day you. seemed sincere. You don’t really trust Rielle, even if you do trust her, you don’t trust her as much,” I kept rambling and he finally stopped what he was doing and

faced me.
“Stop it, Amara, just stop it!. And don’t you dare refer to Luna by her name again! Also, you should stop thinking of yourself as a big shot because I made a mistake with you because the moon goddess made a silly mistake by making us mates!
“I–I stammered and he growled.
“Don’t. You have nothing to say, therefore say nothing. Perhaps, having you exiled. will stop a lot of these bullshits!”
I swallowed hard, having made my resolve, to leave this mansion as soon as I could. There was nothing there for me anymore. I had lost everything, Lucien, Rick, and even the title of Luna to Rielle and I couldn’t bear anything anymore. What more was going to happen? my life will be taken next?. I shook my head. vehemently
The guards burst in with a maid who had her head down and I scrunched my face in confusion as she raised her head up. This wasn’t the maid I had left in my room.
“This isn’t her,” I said as I glared at the maid suspiciously,
“Who are you?” I demanded as I stood in front of her.
“This was the maid we found in the room, one of the guards said and the others. nodded.
me
“Are you calling a fool? or blind? Or a liar?” I demanded, angrily. “I know who I left in my room and this is not her!” I shot out firmly.
“Who the hell are you?” I questioned her and she bowed her head as she spoke.
“I got a message from Yulianna that you sent her on an errand and I should please help her clean your room–I was just doing that when these guards barged in and dragged me here,” she explained and I chuckled bitterly.
RIELLE!!,that stupid b*tch!. She had fooled me. All these were her doings.
