A burner was indeed the best way for them to contact each other without whoever the leader of the blood creek was, finding out.
“Yes..She’s here right now,” Eve said to him on the other end of the line.
She chuckled, probably because he said something funny. “Well..at the usual place… there’s a lot we found out,” she said.
She continued talking and I watched in amusement,it was difficult to believe that this was the very same Eve who seemed like she didn’t know how to catch fun,who was always so stiff. It was weird that she was this cheerful and fun.
“He wants to meet now,” she said and I stood up.
“It’s safe?, we have to make sure we’re not being followed. He has to be alive to help us,” I explained abd she chuckled.
“It’s fine. He’s always careful. He knows the risk,” she replied and I sighed.
If she was sure, then fine. It was her boyfriend after all.
She gave me the direction and we drove there. It was an abandoned farmhouse.
He had his back turned and when he noticed our presence,he spun around, with a smile on his face and Eve ran to embrace him.
“My love!,” she exclaimed and I watched in amusement.
Norman had changed…he was more..handsome. With string jawline, deep blue eyes and full l*ps. He seemed to be about 6’5 as he towered over her. He looked nothing like that little boy that played with us when we were children.
“Norman,” I said as I walked towards them. “We’ve met before, haven’t we?,” I asked and Eve glared at me with an expression that seemed to say ‘what the hell is going
- on.
“Amara. It’s a pleasure to meet you like this, “He said, pulling away from Eve.
“We have met, right?,” I asked again, firmly.
“At the bayou, yes,” he replied,a smile still etched on his face.

“I’m really sorry about that,” He looked at the both of us. The smile leaving his face to reveal a sadness in his eyes.
“I’ve had to do things I wouldn’t do on a normal day,” He explained and I shook my head.
“You had a choice,Norman. You weren’t forced to take the oath, were you?”
He shook his head and then stretched the can of beer he was holding towards me.
‘Beer?‘
I shook my head. ‘No,thank you.”
He chuckled bitterly. “I was threatened with everything I loved!. I know you’d say as a hardened criminal why am I so scare, but….When you’re in love, you’ll realize you have a lot to lose.”
I sighed, knowing how right he was. I lost my kids, lost lucien, lost my Mum. Now I feel like I don’t have much left to lose.
“Whose child is Rielle carrying?,” I asked, gazing at him squarely.
“I don’t know for sure,what I do know is that, it isn’t Lucien’s.”
“Greyson’s?,” I asked hopefully. Perhaps he’ll sl*p and forget about the oath and
nod.
“Greyson?,the beta?,how?,” he scrunched his brows in confusion and I sighed.
That wasn’t the expression I was hoping for. He seemed to be genuinely confused as to why I would mention Greyson. I glanced at Eve and she sighed.
“You know the thing…I didn’t tell you before, I didn’t want to burden you…,” she began abd Norman glanced at her.
“What is it Eve?,” He questioned,a puzzled expression on his face and she bit her lower l*ps.
“Rielle’s true mate is Greyson. Greyson seems to think it was me..the same way I didn’t realize it was you..,” she explained to him and he seemed to be further confused.

“I don’t understand it.”

I moved closer to him. “I believe Greyson is your leader, the mysterious leader of the blood creek. He must’ve made that curse, to throw everyone off his trails,” I stated firmly.
He suddenly burst out laughing. “No,you’re very wrong.”
“I’m not. You’re under a bloody oath!. You wouldn’t tell me that I’m right anyways,” I shot out and Eve who had been silent all along, finally spoke.
“Let’s break this curse then. Let’s go to Greyvine to break this curse,” She held his hands, wrapping her palms over his.
“It won’t be easy, you heard her,” The seer had told us that it would be difficult, if not impossible. She could only clear Eve from her delusions because she already didn’t feel right.
“We have to try at least,” She said and I scoffed.
“While we’re here trying, Rielle would be in Silverpine, plotting. Trying to kill Lucien and Rick and Kai,I don’t even know how he is,” I swallowed hard as I thought of my family.
“Well, what do you suggest,” She folded her arms as she moved towards me.
“We go to Lucien. If he sees Norman,he’ll believe us. We explain everything to him. He’ll help us,” I said and Eve scoffed.
“Oh yea. And then what?. What if h

doesn’t even believe us?”
“Norman is a criminal,a wanted thief and a wanted traitor. According to everyone in Silverpine,he’s the leader of the blood creek. Who’s to say that as soon as we enter Silverpine, they won’t put him in the cells?,” she shot out firmly and I sighed.
で
“They won’t!. He’ll be in disguise until we get to meet Lucien. When we finally explain everything to him, he’ll have no choice but to believe us,” I pointed out.
Eve scoffed. “You seem to have forgotten that Rielle has your man wrapped over her little fingers,” she stated.

We kept arguing back and forth until Norman agreed to go to Silverpine and meet with Lucien.
Norman wore a hood over his head and dark glasses as we walked towards the
mansion.
I was surprised to see guards all over the gate and Eve suddenly stopped..
“Something’s not right,” she pointed out and I nodded, agreeing with her.
There shouldn’t be this much guards here except there was a threat in the community..
“We should go back,” she said again and I shook my head.
“No!,we’ve come all the way here,we can’t just go back like this!,” I stated firmly. “Besides, maybe it was Rielle’s idea. She wanted to keep the baby and urged Lucien to increase security at the gate. Crazy b*tch!.
I huffed in annoyance and walked briskly to the gate, despite protests from Eve and Norman who had now faced the opposite direction.
The guard at the gate was someone I haven’t met before and he glared at me. I was surprised. Did he not know who I was? Or had Rielle told them to not accord me
any respect.
“Your business?,” he questioned,grumpily.
I cleared my throat. “You don’t know me!,” I half yelled and he seemed indifferent.
“Amara,” he said simply and I sighed.
“I’m here to see Luc…the Alpha,” I said and he narrowed his eyes, looking at me suspiciously.
“You should inform him,if you have to,” I stated and he seemed to be thinking about it.
“Look,I just want to see my son!,” I stated firmly and he finally nodded his head.
Just turn, Rielle’s face came into view. She was walking towards the gate briskly and and I swallowed hard.
“Amara!,I should’ve known it was you. I perceived a strange scent and energyt

from far away. I had no idea it would be yours,” she said as she glanced at me in disgust.
“I just want to see my son, Rielle. I’m not here for any problem,” I bit out.
“What’s going on here?,” The familiar voice said, behind Rielle and I almost smiled.
“Luc…Alpha,” I said in acknowledgement.

“I’m here to see my son,” I glanced at her again, almost bursting out into laughter. She didn’t even know what I had in store for her. “And I have information that will be useful to you. It’s about the traitor.”
Her eyes seemed to flare up at that and I smiled.
“I brought someone,” I turned to look at Norman and Eve who still had their backs faced away.
“What is it,Amara?,” He asked and I could see the curiousity in his face.
“First, you’ll promise me,Alpha. You’ll promise to not let any harm befall my informant,” I said and he hesitated before replying.
“Fine!”
“Could you please leave us, Luna Rielle,” I said the last part with disgust.
“No!,as the Luna of Silverpine, I have a duty towards the people too. Besides I believe I have to be involved in this,if not for anything,to clear up my name and any misunderstandings that may have ensued and to also get the Alpha’s son,” She said, faking concern.
I glanced at Lucien, but he seemed to agree with what she said.
“Rielle is the Luna. She’ll stay,” he said firmly.
“Fine,” then turning towards Norman. “Come on.”
They walked towards us and as Norman removed his hood,I could see Lucien’s eyes darken as he growled.
