Chapter 82
Chapter 82
When I heard what Ray had to say, a thought popped up in my mind, and I asked him immediately.
Ray looked more and more confused. He probably hadn’t expected me to be interested in Nathan and
Sabrina.
However, he did not ask further and said truthfully, “Nathan is pretty smart. When he was in university, he was the student council president. Otherwise, Sabrina wouldn’t have liked him, either. Why are you asking me these questions, Taylor?”
It would make things easier if he were capable.
Nathan was such a good stumbling block. Wouldn’t I be creating the opportunity for the romance between Sabrina and Gordon to develop rapidly if I let him return to his hometown?
I smiled and patted Ray on the shoulder.
“I just think that romances that begin in university are the most beautiful. It would be such a pity if they 1 just simply broke up. You should tell Nathan not to go back yet. I can help him find a suitable job.”
Ray hadn’t expected me to be so enthusiastic, and his eyes lit up.
“Really? Taylor, you’re an angel. Nathan actually majored in law, but since he just graduated, a lot of places don’t accept interns. Plus, he focused too much on his relationship while he was in university, so his grades were only average. That’s why there aren’t any suitable law firms who want to accept him. He only became a real estate agent because he had no other choice but to be in sales, which didn’t suit him, and he couldn’t do it well. If you can introduce a job to him, I’m sure he will be very grateful.”
Ray seemed very loyal to his friend. He immediately told me all about Nathan’s situation after what I had
said.
“I’ll have my friends ask around. Tell him to stay in Sobrough City for now,” I said in a low voice.
When I returned to the office, I sat in my chau and thought for a minute before I called Hector.
Hector promptly answered, and he seemed thrilled to be receiving a call from me. His voice was punctuated with laughter.
“Well, Taylor, how do you have time to call me?”
“Mr. Judd, do you have any friends who are lawyers? I want to help a distant relative find a job. He just graduated from university, and he majored in law.”
I got straight to the point.
“Yes. Shane started his own law firm. A relative of yours? Alright. Send me his resume, and I’ll tell Shane
about it, Hector said at once.
Shane was probably another one of Gordon’s friends. I had forgotten that he was a renowned lawyer in
the industry.

“Alright. Then, I’ll be relying on you to help. Please arrange a good position for him,” I said.
Then I sent Nathan’s resume, which Ray had sent me, to Hector.
Hector had clearly received the resume, but he remained silent for a few seconds over the phone.
He suddenly asked me, “Nathan? Are you sure he’s a distant relative of yours?”
“Uh, yes… Not a very close one. I just help where I can…”
I tried to gloss things over.
“Oh, not a very close relative…”
Hector intentionally dragged out his words. He seemed to have realized something, but he did not say anything else.
“Alright. Leave it to me.”
After I hung up, I suddenly recalled when Holmes Group had been purchasing fresh flowers.
At the time, I had clearly recommended Selena to the head of the purchasing department in Holmes Group, but Selena never mentioned it to me after that. I wondered how things were progressing.
After work, I called both Selena and Yvonne and asked them both to meet at a restaurant where we often
ate.
The restaurant was near the beach of Sobrough City, and it had a very poetic name–Whispers on the
Wind.
The three of us hadn’t met in ages, so we hugged each other tightly the moment we saw each other.
