The Reborn Wife Strikes Back ( Gordon Holmes’ )

Chapter 10

Chapter 10

Gordon carried me into his Lincoln Limousine.

As Mrs. Holmes, this was the first time in our six–year marriage that I had ever been in this car.

Gordon inrew me onto the spacious back seat, staring at me with intense anger in his eyes. His gaze was

more sinister than ever before.

I instinctively propped myself up, trying to sit up from the chal. But he grabbed my neck and slammed me against the car window with such force that it nearly crushed my neck.

“Taylor, don’t forget you’re Mrs. Holmes now!”

Mrs. Holmes? It was ironic that Gordon would emphasize my Identity as Mrs. Holmes.

In all these years, he had never treated me as Mrs. Holmes.

And now, simply because I acted as myself for once, he wanted to put me in that identity’s shackles?

It was ridiculous.

I tried to push his hand away, and he finally let go. As I gasped for breath, I looked at him with a cold

smile and said, “Gordon, since our marriage, have you ever treated me as Mrs. Holmes in your actions?”

“Isn’t joining the Holmes family what you’ve always longed for? Since you’re now a part of it, you should

cherish it instead of flirting around!”

Gordon looked down at me with a serise of superiority that had once captivated me. But now, stripped of the sugarcoating of love, it only made me feel sick.

I refuse to be Mrs. Holmes only.”

in name

I looked at Gordon with cold eyes, wondering if he was sharp enough to notice the unusual indifference in

my gaze.

But I underestimated his self–confidence. He suddenly leaned in closer, pinching my chin.

His soft fingertips rubbed my lips as he said coldly, “So, you want to consummate our marriage? If you’re obedient enough, I don’t mind considering giving it to you as a favor.”

As a favor?

The moment those words left Gordon’s mouth, it felt as if my heart had been brutally branded by a red–hot

iron.

The heart that once beat so vibrantly for him had long since died, replaced by a calmness even more desolate than despair.

“No need. Isn’t it more exciting to find a young lover outside? As long as a woman is up for it, there are plenty of guys out there!”

I pushed his hand away, casually flipping my hair. The collar on my shoulder must have loosened during

our struggle, causing it to naturally slide off my shoulder.

The dim light in the car illuminated my alluring collarbone and smooth skin in front of Gordon. When I looked up, I could see him staring intently at my collarbone, a glint of unusual light flashing in his eyes.

Men.

As the books said, any man was a creature that thought with their lower body. Even when faced with a woman they no longer loved, they still had sexual desires in specific situations.

Gordon was no exception.

Moreover, I wasn’t an ugly duckling at all. In fact, I had been praised for my beauty since childhood. It was just that I gradually lost myself in my love for Gordon, causing me to lose my uniqueness completely.

“Taylor, you’re such a fucking…”

Gordon was clearly angered by my words and was about to curse, but at that moment, his phone suddenly rang. When he pulled out his phone, he frowned but still answered it.

As I was close by, I could hear the voice on the other end of the call. It seemed to be Nora’s assistant.

“Mr. Holmes, Ms. Flores couldn’t stop thinking about cutting herself tonight. No matter how I tried to persuade her, she wouldn’t listen. Now she’s in the hospital getting a blood transfusion.”

“Which hospital? If she’s sick, she should see a doctor. I’m not a doctor!” Gordon’s voice was impatient.

“Please, Mr. Holmes, just come and see her. She said that she won’t be able to live if she can’t see you tonight. What should I do?”

“Fine, I’ll be right there.”

d to see her.

Despite his impatience, Gordon still cared for Nora and agreed to see her..

In the past, upon hearing such a phone call, I would have undoubtedly quarreled with Gordon and tried to stop him from seeing another woman by any means necessary.

But now, I couldn’t care less.

I leisurely crossed my arms and leaned back in the leather seat, saying with a chuckle, “Oh, your lover is unhappy? Trying to commit suicide? Mr. Holmes, you sure are charming.

“Shut up.” Gordon got angry, glaring at me.

“Alright, your lover is causing trouble, so you should hurry up and comfort her. Don’t worry about me. I’ll leave now and promise not to cause any more trouble for you!”

Staying in this car any longer felt suffocating, so I immediately got up to leave. But, before I could even get out of my seat, Gordon grabbed my dress‘ thin fabric from behind.

“Are you trying to go back there? Sit here quietly. I’ll have Luke take you home!”

“Gordon, my best friend is still with your friends. I’m worried!”

I wanted to use this opportunity to go back because Selena was met with an incident in my previous life. I

was afraid that there might be unexpected events if I left now.

“Shut up! Don’t go anywhere tonight. Go back to Hovilham Residencel” Gordon commanded sternly. before quickly leaving with a stern expression.

Luke Baker was his personal driver for many years. He locked the car doors as soon as Gordon left. Without a word, he drove me toward Hovilham Residence.

This Lincoln Limousine was bulletproof. As long as Luke didn’t open the door, there was no way I could.

escape.

Knowing when to submit was a wise choice. I gave up struggling and sat in the car. But I was worried, so I called Selena.

Selena’s phone rang twice before it finally connected. But to my surprise, it was a man’s voice on the other end, and it even sounded familiar.

“She’s already asleep. Aren’t you home yet?”
