The rebirth of a new Luna by Alexia Morgan

Chapter 22

Chapter 26

Is something wrong? You’ve been staring at me for almost a minute now. Is something on my fur?” Nadia asked her supposed mate. Her question brought him back to reality as he remembered he had been staring at her all the while he stood thinking.

“Awwwoo.. I’m so sorry. I was just thinking of those days I had to run without you. I felt like giving up those times. I was lost without you. I’m so glad you’re back, he said to her. He walked to her and raised his paw to soothe her fur. Nadia smiled and he smiled too. He stepped back and howled.

“Are we ready now?” He said to her with energy in his voice. He howled after his

question. Nadia smiled, she jumped up a little and then howled too. “We’re ready. Let’s do this” she shouted out.

“Three.. two.. one!!… Go” he screamed. They started to run. Nadia was first. She ran ahead of him as her b*dy seemed to work perfectly.

It was the first time she had shifted forms after waking up in her new b*dy. She was loving it. It was the first time she ran without feeling tired. She could breathe as she ran and her legs felt lighter.

The air ran through her cars and fur as she ran through the woods. She turned to have a look around and to her surprise, she could barely believe her eyes. She could see clearly and quite farther than she could before. Her eyes could pick up even the most minute object and her cars could hear the birds clearly. She could feel strength in her legs as she ran and she was fast too. She was truly marveled at everything her new b*dy had to offer. Life was definitely not the same for her.

Her b*dy as Iris had power and will but that wasn’t the case for b*dy as Nadia. She was always weak and tired. She could never participate in activities, even as a child. In her human form, she was weak and even in her wolf form, she felt weaker than the average wolf. She had gotten teased everytime because of that. It had been so bad that one day, the girls she had as friends left her to fall over a cliff while they ran away.

That was when she met Lucian. She was out by the river when her friends, or atleast the people she believed were her friends came to her.

“Let’s play a game one of them said. Usually, they never played games with her and so she wondered why but she kept it to herself. “What kind of game?” She asked them. “One that you would actually be good at. Since you’re a weakling another one said to her. Nadia felt angry. Everyone regarded her as a weakling and she would do anything to change that perspective of her. It was becoming annoying and inwardly, she wast losing her mind over it. She smiled, “I’m in”

The other girl asked her, “don’t you want to know what it is before you accept it? What if

you can’t handle it?” Nadia mined to her with a mean face. “Whatever it is, I think manage. Let’s do this.” She turned to the leader of the girls groups and spoke, “how do I start?”

Those girls took her up a mountain similar to the one she was running through now. She could vividly remember. They walked there because she could not rum. When they got there, the leader turned to them.

“We are all strong and at least able to run but you can’t and so, I thought of a way that you could become useful to our pack” she turned to the other girls for confirmation. The other girls all sided their heads, Che giggled, the other ones turned to her to tell her to stop. Soon, they all kept their straight faces as they turned to her. The leader of the girls group contimed.

“The girls here and I have decided that we should test your skills here. Since you and your wolf are both skinny and light weight, how about you try grabbing that thing from: down there?” She said as she pointed to a red cloth that was tied down the chitl Nadia turned to have a look. It was not as easy as she thought it would be. She trembled inwardly.

The girls had tied a thin rope to the end of the chill and then to a tree. The rope looked too thin to possibly hold any weight, even the weight of a light person like herself. She looked at the tree and was fully discouraged. She turned to the girl leader. “Is this really the only way to test my abilities? She asked, “is there no other way?”

All the girls laughed at her after she finished speaking. One called her useless while the rest kept laughing. She started to cry. As she was crying, she remembered one of the girls called her to the side to motivate her. That friend was Lyra Lyra called her to the side to talk to her. She told her to just do it as the other girls were laughing at her way 400 much. “If you do this and win, you’ll never be laughed at again by these girls. Come on, it’s such an easy task, they want you to get on the rope and take that red cloth off. Bring it back to the leader and boom! You’ll get respected forever” Lyra said with a smile as she stopped talking and gave her a hug.

“You can do this, Nadia, I believe in you. Lyra said again after giving her a hug, She patted her on the back and walked away. Nadia watched as Lyra walked back to the group and whispered something to the girls. Everyone giggled as they heard what she said. Some started laughing. She heard some call her names.

The young Nadia wiped her tears and took deep breaths as she walked to the leader.

“Okay.. I’ll do it. I’m ready”
