Chapter 20
I saw my mate tormenting himself for a long time with the feeling of helplessness. For the first time in a long time, he really smiled when Devas came to our door to tell him that the first blade had been found. I knew what that meant but still hoped that it would at least bring him peace in some way. My hope was quickly dashed when we arrived at the mansion and I watched as our family and friends argued more and more with each other and eventually almost came to blows. I didn't know what the trigger was, but shortly afterwards Elyon made it clear to me that the blade was to blame and he made it disappear, which led to an immediate halt in all conflict. The people who had been arguing before all looked at each other in confusion with no idea what had gotten into them, and when Elyon took me by the hand and led me out of the room, I was more confused than ever before.
Elyon's aura shone around him, and he took on the form that the father of all beings gave him. As we stood in the garden of the mansion, he closed his eyes and whispered something to himself as I just watched him. A bright light appeared, and shortly afterwards, the angel from my dream appeared and looked at us smiling. Before Elyon said anything to him, the angel put his hand on Elyon's forehead, and just like mine back then, his eyes fluttered. Elyon knew that he didn't have to tell him anything more because Michael knew everything, but Elyon just breathed a sigh of relief and looked at Michael.
"I see..." said Michael. "The blade is its own ruler without the mark and frees chaos among beings. You can only keep the blade under control if you wear the mark... But before you do that, Paragon, you must be ready to fight because Abbadon will feel the change and he will be ready to fight. And then the war begins," Michael said.
"Will you help us?" Elyon asked him.
"I will be waiting, Paragon, with my army to assist you. You just have to call me. You don't have much time left. Abbadon will feel that the blade has been found by you shortly. You have to be ready in three days," Michel replied and looked at us.
A horn emerged in his hand, and he handed it to Elyon. Elyon took the horn in his hand and looked at Michael.
"When you are ready to kill Abbadon and face him, then blow the horn, and I will appear on the battlefield that will decide everything. I will lead the last army of the Lord and help you in battle. But until then, do not call me but prepare yourselves," Michael said.
Then he looked from Elyon to me again and disappeared into his light. I turned to Elyon, who was looking at the horn and then looked at me. Still in his unique form, he stood in front of me and I hugged him. I felt the worry he felt and excitement, but also courage and determination. But most of all, I felt his immense love for me and the gratitude for our connection.
We went back to the others who were all standing in silence in the room. They were obviously surprised by their actions and felt bad because the blade was affecting their good nature so much. The king looked up at Elyon, and he delivered the angel's message.
"The healers should check on everyone who was searching again and get them ready if necessary," said the king, and Devas set out to deliver his order.
"Aidan, you and Evelyn and Inna look at the weapons and armor again and prepare everything for the upcoming battle," the king continued, and they also left the room relieved.
"The rest of you go and rest tonight...We will discuss strategy with Elyon in the morning," he added, and everyone left the room except Elyon and me.
The king and queen stood next to each other and looked worriedly at Elyon, who sat down in front of them, and I followed his movement.
"This blade... It is a very powerful weapon," said the king, looking from Elyon to me.
Elyon nodded and looked at his mother, who was now looking at the floor, her face very scared and sad.
"Don't worry, mother. I was created for this," Elyon said soothingly, and she looked up at him with tears in her eyes.
She just nodded, but I felt Elyon's sadness at seeing his mother like that. I was aware, just as he was, that the blade was very powerful and was consuming the powers of its master who carried it.
"It can destroy you," she whispered quietly as her tears flowed down her face.
The king took his mate in his arms, clearly knowing that she was right, and looked worriedly at his son.
"I will destroy Abbadon. And then I will give the blade back to the father ," Elyon said confidently, holding my hand. The king nodded more to himself than to Elyon's words. I hope he's right, and everything will be fine. My heart ached at the thought of something happening to Elyon, and he looked at me aware of my feelings.
He kissed my hand, and the small touch set off fireworks in me. He knew how much I loved him and tried to calm me down.
That evening, he didn't want to think anymore, and so we arranged to meet the king the next morning and go back to Bellatorum.
There, our friends were waiting for us at the campfire on the beach. I'm sure Vaell organized this; he's simply the best friend you could ask for.
We sat on the sand and listened to our friends as they sang Elvish songs, and the children played and danced.
I remembered the time of my arrival in Antaris and my fear and Elyon's great love that led me out of my darkness. Since we lived in Bellatorum, the friendship between me and his friends became very strong. The once-unknown faces whose names I couldn't remember were now very familiar to me.
I got to know Nova and her sister Alya early on. While Nova was loud and funny, Alya was withdrawn and quiet. Alya's mate was Elyon's brother Noran, who adored her, and with the birth of her daughter Jadis, her happiness was complete.
Nova found her happiness later with Taron, the son of Elyon's parents friends Keijou and Mana, and Nova's excitement was amazing as she reminded me of mine and Elyon's love.
Baldior quickly became very close friends with my brother Jacob after his arrival, and I was happy for him as he found his mate too, and the friendly Lilu was at Jacob's side.
Our friends' children were the culmination of their love, and we were thrilled that they could grow up and have friendships like we have now.
The cheeky and funny Deona was an enrichment for my once tormented soul, and she found her mate in Aldaron, who had annoyed her ever since I knew her.
But I found my greatest enrichment as a friend in Eliana, with whom I spent my time every day and got to know her. She was Elyon's twin, and I felt a special connection with her that only became stronger and stronger through trust and numerous conversations. As she found her mate In the Nephilim Anak, this was very difficult for both of them at the beginning, but Elyon decided to put an end to their torment and encouraged the stubborn half-angel to finally release both of their torments and to finally have his mate at his side. We were happy for her, and she beamed with happiness next to her mate.
Like me, Nyllis also loved Eliana very much. She was her first friend in Antaris, as she said, and she felt protected and comfortable in her presence.
I watched now Nyllis as she talked to Eliana and Anak, and they adored her and laughed with her. They were both very protective of Nyllis, and I was proud that she was able to grow up in such a strong community full of love and support.
But of all these now strong and valuable friendships, the one with Vaell and Miriel was the strongest. Vaell loved Elyon not just as a friend but like a brother. And Miriel and I grew very close. The friendship and trust between Elyon and Vaell reminded me of the King and Devas who had relied on and trusted each other for a long time. I knew that he would never betray Elyon and would stand by him until the end.
Elyon looked at me and smiled as he sensed my feelings and thoughts. He pulled me to him and took me into his lap. I was grateful for my life, which had such a difficult start but became a dream since I arrived in Antaris. The friendships that developed over the years were pure and long-awaited, and love with Elyon was my source of life and all my happiness.
We didn't talk much that evening but enjoyed everyone's presence and listened to the songs and laughter that echoed through the night. I had the need to sense my mate, and so I looked at him, and he knew what I wanted, his eyes ringed with dark red desires. He took me in his arms and carried me towards the house as our friends whistled after us and cheered us joyfully.
I laughed, and Elyon had to laugh too.
That night, we consoled each other for what was to come and enjoyed each other as if it were the last time. He owned my body, my soul, and every part of my heart, and I loved it so much. I was happy and fulfilled, and I loved my life with him. I hope it will last.
