The Other Side Of The Story

The following week dragged by slowly and on Wednesday night Hermione, Harry and I were sitting alone in the common room, after everyone else had gone to bed, as it was already Mid-night

Suddenly the portrait hole burst open and Ron appeared out of nowhere as he pulled off Harry’s Invisibility Cloak. He had been at Hagrid’s hut, helping him feed Norbert, who was now eating dead rats by the crate, that dragon was getting bigger and bigger by the minute and that was a huge problem

"It bit me!" Ron said, showing us his hand, which was wrapped in a bloody handkerchief

"I’m not going to be able to hold a quill for a week. I tell you, that dragon’s the most horrible animal I’ve ever met, but the way Hagrid goes on about it; you’d think it was a fluffy little bunny rabbit. When it bit me he told me off for frightening it. And when I left, he was singing it a lullaby"

"Well maybe if you were nicer to him he wouldn't have bit you" I told him and he glared at me, so I stuck my tongue out at him

Until a tap on the dark window caught all our attention

"It’s Hedwig!" said Harry as he hurried to let her in "She’ll have Charlie’s answer"

The four of us put our heads together to read the note

Dear Ron

How are you? Thanks for the letter – I’d be glad to take The Norwegian Ridgeback, but it won’t be easy getting Him here. I think the best thing will be to send him over with some friends of mine who are coming to visit me next week. Trouble is, they mustn’t be seen carrying an illegal dragon could you get the Ridgeback up the tallest tower at midnight on Saturday? They can meet you there and take him away while it’s still dark Send me an answer as soon as possible

Once we were done reading we all looked at each other, thinking

"We’ve got the Invisibility Cloak" said Harry "It shouldn’t be too difficult, I think the Cloak’s big enough to cover two of us and Norbert"

We all agreed, knowing how this was the only choice we had we were ready to do anything to get rid of Norbert – and Malfoy

By the next morning, Ron’s bitten hand had Swollen to twice its usual size and we didn’t know whether it was safe to go to Madam Pomfrey, would she recognize a dragon bite?

But By the afternoon, though, he had no choice as the cut had turned a nasty shade of green, it looked as if Norbert’s fangs were poisonous

So me, Harry and Hermione rushed up to the hospital wing at the end of the day to find Ron in a terrible state in bed

"It’s not just my hand" he whispered

"although that feels like it’s about to fall off, Malfoy told Madam Pomfrey he wanted to borrow one of my books so he could come and have a good laugh at me. He kept threatening to tell her what really bit me – I’ve told her it was a dog but I don’t think she believes me – I shouldn’t have started that fight with him at the Quidditch match, that’s why he’s doing this"

"no Ron it's not your fault, he is just trying to get back at me for punching and threating him in front of his mates, he thinks that he can just miss with my friends and get away with it, but no he is so going to pay, no way he is getting away with it I promise you" I told him as I was feeling my blood boiling, kids like Malfoy were the reason I couldn't go to school back in London

Harry and Hermione tried to calm Ron and I down, but it wasn't working at least not to me

"It’ll all be over at midnight on Saturday" said Hermione , but this didn’t soothe Ron nor me at all and seeing as I couldn't hold it any longer I darted out of the room ignoring Harry's and Hermione's calls for me and Ron's panicked voice

I didn't know where I was heading or even what I was going to do, but whatever it was, it wasn't going to be good at least not for Malfoy!!

I don't know how but I ended up in the Quidditch pitch with a broom and a Quaffle in my hands, so I did the only irrational thing to do

I mounted the broom and flow all the way up to the three hoops shooting and scoring almost every time, so I can blow off some steam

I don't know how long I have been here but whatever this thing I was doing it was working as I was now calmer

"What the bloody hell are you doing up there at this time?" I heard a voice say from behind me so I turned around to see none other than my favorite red headed twins

"Well I could ask you the same thing?" I told them with a smirk as I flew down and landed in front of them

"Well we went to see Ron" Fred started, the George continued" and he told us about the situation with Malfoy and how angry you were"

"So we being our normal good selves thought why not make sure you don't get yourself in trouble" Fred finished looking amused

"How thoughtful of you" I told them and they smirked "but as pretty much obvious I am fine, also I wouldn't say the same about Malfoy once I am done with him" this time I was the one smirking

"Well as much as we would like to see that I think you should calm down little fox" Fred spoke causing me to roll my eyes at him

"tell you what , if you go back to your dorm and just stay out of trouble for the mean time we would help you get back at him by the end of the year , what do you say?" he offered

"You guys promise?!" I asked them after thinking about it for a minute and they both shared a look before turning back to me and nodding in agreement

"Promise" they said in unison

"Okay, let's head back, Hermione is probably having a panic attack by now" I said and they both chuckled

So with that we turned around and headed back to Gryffindor common room

"Hermione you can't keep getting worried about me this easily" I told her as she still had me in a bone crushing hug which started once I set foot inside the common room , I don't know where the twins have gone but they probably have gone to their dorm so it was just the two of us

"I know it's just, you are my best friend and I can't help it" she said as she pulled away, so I gave her a reassuring smile "its okay I get it"

she smiled in return

"How is Ron?" I asked her

"he is fine but that's not the problem , the book Malfoy took from him contained Charlie's letter so he probably knows our plan now but it's too late to change it and we have Harry's cloak so we still are ahead of him" she informed me

"What about Hagrid have you told him about the plan?"

"yeah, we went to see him after you left, but trust me he wasn't happy with it" she told me and I gave her a sympathetic look, he loved that dragon as a son, god only knows how he was dealing with the fact he have to give him up, anyway with that we both headed to bed it was going to be a long week…

"What is taking them this long?" I asked myself as I sat alone in the common room ,Since we had agreed that Harry and Hermione were the ones going , which I still didn't know why we choose them , anyway I ended up here waiting for them worried to hell , they should have been back by now!!

Well at least now I know how Hermione feels whenever I just disappear

I looked up at the clock and it was already past one what is taking them so long?! That when the door burst open and in came Harry, Hermione and Neville!!

What the hell was he doing out there?! Wait why are they frowning did they not succeed did Norbert get caught or did they?!

"What happened?" I managed to ask and the three of them looked up at me with sad eyes

"We delivered Norbert but then we got caught by McGonagall" Harry explained while looking at the ground with guilt and Hermione ran to me pulling me into a huge and crying on my shoulder while Neville looked on the berg of crying too

"And then what?!"

"she gave us detention and we lost fifty points each" my mouth dropped and I didn't know what to say , so now we were at the bottom after being in the lead there was no way we could gain that amount of points again ,How could we ever make up for this? Bu at least it was for a good cause right?!

I didn't sleep at all that night, just thought about everything as I heard Hermione cry into her pillow all night long ,not knowing what to say to calm her down , I knew she along with Harry and Neville were dreading the dawn and What would happen when the rest of Gryffindor found out what they’d done, but no matter what i will be there with them through it all…
