The Omnipotent Mrs. Ranford By Darlene Wright

Chapter 28

Chapter 28

“Oh

Since Alexandra had already made plans, Julian did not need to ask anymore.

However, Alexandra did not know why Julian suddenly asked her that. Alexandra thought that Julian needed her help with something. “Mr. Ranford, what is wrong? Do you need something?”

“No, I was just asking.”

“Oh.”

The next morning. Alexandra ran off after breakfast.

It was like she was trying to avoid the big bad wolf.

Before Alexandra left the house, Julian gave her a credit card.

Alexandra blinked at Julian and said, “It is not the fifth yet! Are you paying me early?”

“Aren’t you going shopping with your friend?” Julian asked. “This is your allowance.

“Thanks, Boss! I won’t waste the money!” Alexandra accepted the card without reservations.

Since it was her allowance, then Alexandra was sure that there would be a few thousand dollars in it, at most. Julian was not stupid.

To Julian, Alexandra’s so–called friend must be some rich girl that Alexandra had met in school. Julian must not want Alexandra to seem too poor when shopping together.  Sᴇaʀᴄh thᴇ FɪndNøvel.ɴet website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

Otherwise, it would be embarrassing.

Alexandra and Emery planned to shop at the biggest luxury mall in Highclere City: the Jolie Center Mall. This was where all the top luxury brands were gathered in Highclere. Emery’s family was very wealthy, so it was natural that she went there

often.

However, this was Alexandra’s first time there.

The entire mall glittered and dazzled. The elevators were spacious and clean, and there were even beautiful elevator staff in purple suits.

“Wow, this is so pretty!”

Alexandra could not help but praise it.

Emery had not been there in a long time. How long had it been?

She had not gone out to shop since she got into the car accident seven years ago when her right leg became permanently deformed. She felt so ugly whenever she passed the mirrors in the dressing room and saw her cane.

But after Emery met Alexandra in school, Emery realized that she did not want to stay cooped up at home anymore. Furthermore, she also wanted to bring Alexandra around and give her some small gifts.

Emery could feel that Alexandra was not acting friendly to kiss up to her, unlike what Martha had said.

Alexandra was an open and straightforward girl.

Emery saw how Alexandra kept getting attracted by the products in Jolie Center Mall. Laughing, Emery said, “All of the things here are the best and newest models in all of Highclere or even the world.”

“Oh, no wonder! Then it must be super expensive!” Alexandra patted her bag, feeling a little unconfident.
