Chapter 31
Chapter 31
Leonard was soaked from head to toe, his hair clinging to his scalp. The water droplets glistened in the light as they rolled down his forehead and ears.
Lisa’s face turned bright red, and she glanced at him before looking away. “Leonard, are you out of your mind? You’re a grown man, yet you have no shame.”
“I have no shame because of you,” Leonard retorted.
He initially felt cornered but revealed a teasing smile as he stepped forward while observing Lisa’s fair cheeks flush. “You wanted me to beg, right? Well, I’m begging you now.”
When Lisa tried to turn away, Leonard grabbed her chin and returned her gaze to him. “Tsk, is this what your face looks like when it blushes? I never knew you had such colors beneath your thick skin.”
Lisa felt disconcerted by the scent of his shower gel filling the air as he moved closer. She pushed against his chest with both hands in her urgency. “Get lost.”
Her combat training had given her considerable strength, causing Leonard to stumble backward and collide with the wall behind him. It caused his entire body to tremble.
“Put some clothes on, you pe rvert!” Lisa yelled and turned to run out of the room.
Leonard watched her figure as she hurried away, unable to suppress a smirk
‘All right, I finally found the she-devil’s weakness.’
However, he questioned his thoughts when he looked at his chest where the she-devil had placed her hands. His expression instantly darkened.
‘I must’ve been single for too long to be so desperate for touch.’
After changing his clothes, Leonard found his phone and read his group chat messages from the night before. Suddenly, he wished he had held Lisa by the throat instead of her chin. He had lost all his dignity because of her.
Leonard wore a frigid expression on his handsome face as he descended the stairs for breakfast. It made both his
reflect on their mistakes.
“Once you finish eating, move out of here with Lisa,” David commanded.

Leonard raised his head with an insincere smile and asked, “Dad, have you thought this through? Lisa caused trouble at home, and now you want me to move out with her. I’ll be the only one affected if she stirs up another commotion. Is that your intention?”
David paused and glanced at Lisa, eating breakfast beside them. His face fell from his embarrassment. Although that was the intention behind his words, it was awkward for his son to state it so openly.
“What nonsense are you spewing?” David barked as he glared at his son. “I think there’s a greater chance that Lisa and Michelle would fight if they shared a house.”
He paused for a second before quickly addressing Lisa. “Don’t misunderstand. I have no issues with you.”
Lisa was at a loss for words, thinking, ‘I’d be a fool to believe you.’
Leonard chuckled mockingly. “Anyway, I won’t move out. Since you’re forcing us to be together, you’ll have to experience what I experience.”
“You little brat!” David was so angry that he wanted to slam the table.
However, Leonard was quicker and stood up. “I’m done eating. I’m going to work.”
As he finished speaking, the housekeeper’s voice came from the entrance. “Mr. Lucas, good morning.”
A tall figure entered, wearing a sky-blue denim shirt and white casual pants. The young man tucked his hands in his pocket.

He possessed an extraordinary handsomeness. It was none other than Lucas, one of Leonard’s best friends.
Lucas rarely visited the Parker family home in the morning. However, curiosity got the better of him after hearing what Quince said last night. It prompted Lucas to visit and check things out. Leonard’s arrogant new wife genuinely intrigued him.
“It’s you! The Maserati driver!” Lisa exclaimed in surprise upon seeing him.
Lucas recognized the beautiful young lady who mistakenly entered his car several days prior. A gentle smile appeared on his handsome face. “What a coincidence. I didn’t expect to see you again so soon. You are?”
David introduced them, “This is Leonard’s wife, Lisa Jones. Do you two know each other, Lucas?”
Lucas was puzzled before remembering the night he arrived at the Parker family’s home. Leonard told him about Lisa going to a different room to sleep. However, she did not go to another room and left the house with her luggage instead.
“That explains why I found her near Leonard’s house.’
With everything falling into place, Lucas quickly connected the dots. He never expected to have met Leonard’s arrogant wife already.
“When I visited Leonard a few nights ago, I bumped into Ms. Jones with her luggage,” Lucas explained.
Everyone was aware of what had transpired that night. Leonard furrowed his brows instantly when he realized Lisa was the unfortunate girl Lucas had previously mentioned. Leonard never expected such a coincidence.
“Dad, who is this?” Lisa was curious about Lu ca s’s identity.
David smiled and said, “This is Mr. Henry Mora’s son from the Mora Group. He’s good friends with Leonard and Quince. Quince was the one who brought Leonard home last night. By the way, Lucas is also the youngest pilot captain in our country.”
“Captain?” Lisa was surprised. “He looks like he’s in his twenties. I heard captains are usually in their thirties or forties.”
Melissa added, “Becoming a captain is challenging without at least ten years of flight experience. However, Lucas started flying at thirteen as an intern pilot. There was a freak storm once, and Lucas saved over 200 lives.”
“Wow, Lucas, you’re amazing.” Lisa genuinely admired such a person because she found uniformed pilots on TV shows incredibly attractive.
Moreover, Lucas possessed exceptional looks. Standing at nearly six and a half feet, he emanated confidence without a trace of superiority, despite coming from a wealthy background.
‘Compared to the pe rverted lu natic that is Leonard, the difference between him and Lucas is night and day.’
However, Lisa did not expect someone as gentle and refined as Lucas to be good friends with someone as conceited as Leonard. She could not help but cast a disdainful glance at Leonard.
Leonard caught her gaze and was puzzled.
‘What kind of look is that? Disgust? Contempt?’
Then he looked at Lisa’s gaze toward Lucas-filled with admiration and respect.
‘What’s wrong with this annoying woman?’ Leonard thought as he adjusted his tie.
As a person with usually impeccable manners, he suddenly wanted to drag Lucas outside and beat him up.
