The Mafia Bride (Katrina and Silas)

Chapter Bride 80

Chapter 80

Katrina's POV

The class dragged on, but my focus wasn't on the lesson-it was on him.

I wasn't the only one who found it hard to take my eyes off himy, more than half of the female population stared at the perfect specimen standing before us.

Silas stood at the front, explaining something about economics but all I could think about was how out of place he looked here.

He wasn't supposed to be a professor, that role didn't suit him.

With his salt and pepper hair gelled back and packed into a low ponytail.

Silas had a shirt and trousers on, with about two shirt buttons undone.

"He just stared at me," a girl behind me whispered to her friend, making me turn to them both subconsciously.

He stared at her. She wishes

Silas wasn't just a substitute professor. He was a man who commanded rooms with a glance, and right now, that attention was aimed straight at me.

Every time our eyes met, I felt like I couldn't breathe, like he was peeling away all the layers I tried to keep hidden

Each time he asked a question, he would throw it directly at me, and I would be forced to answer.

Causing people to stare at me occasionally.

I didn't want to be noticed; I didn't want people staring at me.

But that seemed to be practically impossible at this point.

I shifted uncomfortably in my seat, trying to avoid his gaze, but my nerves only got worse when I felt a hand brush against my thigh.

My head snapped to the side, and the guy sitting next to me-Ryon-was leaning closer than before.

What does he want?

Ar first, I thought it might've been an accident, but when his hand lingered, I realized it wasn't.

This fucker dared to touch me.

Relax," he whispered, flashing a grin like this was some kind of joke.

But I didn't find it funny

Jot at all.

stiffened, my body frozen as I glanced around.

No one seemed to notice, or maybe they did and they just didnt care.

ut I wasn't about to let someone touch me. My hand instinctively moved to push him away, but before I could do anything. caught a glimpse of Silas

Chapter 800

He was staring directly not us. No, not us, but at the hand which was still clamped on my thigh.

I was fucked, seriously fucked."

His entire demeanor had shifted. His jaw was tight, his eyes blazing with anger as he stared at Ryan.

I could feel the tension radiating off him from across the room.

Oh, no.

It seemed as if he was just about to end a life and that unfortunate soul was Ryan.

Ryan must've noticed something because he pulled his hand away quickly, leaning back in his seat.

I felt relieved about that, but I couldn't shake off the feeling that something was going to happen.

I didn't dare look at Silas again, but I knew this wasn't over.

When the class finally ended. I let out a breath I hadn't realized d been holding.

Ryan let immediately, and boy, was I happy about that

Students began gathering their things and filing out of the room and I glanced toward Aiden, who was getting up to leave.

This was my chance. I could go talk to him now, maybe even get him outside like I was supposed to.

Maybe that way, Silas would leave this school and not come back

But then, just before I walked up to Aiden, Silas's voice cut through the noise.

"Katrina. Stay behind. I need a word."

My stomach dropped.

A word!

It was going to be more than a word and I needed to avoid that conversation.

"But sir, my grandma is home alone and I need to go home to her, Olied

Right through my teeth to the man who knew my grandma was dead.

Aiden left without a second glance, and I was left standing there as the room emptied, dread pooling in my chest,

When the door finally shut, Silas turned to me, his expression unreadable as he took slow steps toward me.

swallowed hard, trying to keep my voice steady. "I didn't do anything wrong"

Didn't do anything wrong?" he repeated, almost mockingly.

Do you think I didn't see him touching you!" He spat, his eyes holding nothing but anger.

opened my mouth to argue, but nothing came out. What could even say?

I didn't-

You didn't stop him," Silas interrupted as he stopped in front of me. "You let him touch you."

What is he talking about? Why would I let some boy touch me?

My heart raced a mix of fear and something else I didn't want to pamte.
