Chapter 4
Chapter 4: A Life Away from the Castle
Clark is enjoying time with his spouse and kids. Upon learning from the news that Princess Jackie has fled and refused to marry the French king, Clark also discovered that King Henry had exiled her. Many individuals were displeased with King Henry’s decision to banish Princess Jackie from the castle. Clark couldn’t understand Henry’s reasoning. Henry should realize that Jackie didn’t desire to marry the French king. Clark believed that Henry was even worse than their father. Clark has no desire to become king. He is content with his current life.
Clark and Amelia have a daughter named Melissa, who is a beautiful child. They are both very proud of her and love her dearly. Katherine and George have three children, Charles, Henry, and Lisa. Lisa is just as beautiful as her mother and the pride and joy of their family. Clark was saddened to hear about Henry divorcing Princess Katherine, knowing how difficult it must have been for her. He had suspected that this would happen once their father passed away, but it was still a shock to hear the news.
Months later, Princess Jackie and Paul have tied the knot and are currently residing in Mississippi. Jackie has chosen to go by her given name, as she no longer holds her royal title. Paul has found employment as a lawyer, while Nancy has assisted them in finding a suitable home. The house they have acquired is spacious, boasting four bedrooms, making it ideal for starting a family. Unfortunately, Paul’s parents are displeased with his decision to marry Jackie and have distanced themselves from him. Despite his parents’ disapproval, Paul remains unfazed, as his love for Jackie dates back to their childhood.
Jackie has made the decision to not pursue employment and instead become a homemaker. Paul, her partner, is accepting of this choice and supports whatever Jackie wants to do. Jackie is aware that her sister Katherine resides in Mississippi, but she understands that Katherine wants no involvement with her. Therefore, Jackie has no intention of visiting Katherine. Similarly, Katherine is aware that Jackie has moved to Mississippi but has no plans to visit her either. One reason for this is their strained relationship, and the second reason is that Katherine does not want Jackie to discover that Arthur, their brother, is still alive. Katherine made a promise to their father that she would keep Arthur’s existence a secret from everyone.
Jackie and Paul are lucky to have such wonderful neighbors as Kate and John Peterson. They have two amazing children, Andrew and Sara. Although Sara has cerebral palsy and may not fit society’s definition of beauty, she has a heart of gold and a personality that shines. Andrew is also a great kid, not only handsome but also kind and compassionate. It’s clear that Kate and John are doing an excellent job raising their children and are truly devoted to each other. It’s a joy to see such a loving family next door.
Paul is really looking forward to having children, but it seems like Jackie is in no rush to start a family anytime soon. Despite this, Paul is willing to be patient and wait for Jackie to come around. Meanwhile, Jackie has been keeping in touch with Anne to make sure that she’s doing okay. Unfortunately, Anne confided in Jackie that Henry has been mistreating her. Jackie urged Anne to leave Henry, but Anne is determined to work things out in their marriage. Jackie is absolutely furious with Henry for treating Anne so poorly and wishes that she could do more to help her friend.
