The Hawthrone Heir(UNEDITED)

Chapter 8

Be soft. Do not let the world make you hard. Do not let pain make you hate. Do not let the bitterness steal your sweetness.

Sperm Donor

Destiny

An abrupt notification about a brunch, co-hosted by both the Parkers' and the Greysons' hasn't gone down too well for me. For one, I've never been to a brunch before and on the other hand, Casey's in the last stage of her pregnancy and I'm her personal babysitter.

"Ugh, I'll be fine on my own for a few hours while you're out," Casey grumbled, munching on a cookie. "That crazy brother of yours thinks I can't manage, plus Blue's here." She grumbled, pouting.

Just then Demon barks.

"See! Even Demon agrees with my decision, he's here too ya know."

"But-" I begin to argue.

"Destiny, did you forget, Tyler will be there," she says with a smirk, caressing her belly.

She's right! Tyler will be there, and as his girlfriend, I should show my support.

I'm Tyler's girlfriend, I remain myself. I still can't believe he asked me. I remember how scared I was of my growing attraction and feelings for him because I didn't want to end up like my mom—pinning over a guy that didn't love me enough for us to go public. Tyler had shocked me, however.

While we were in the park the other day. He had expressed his feelings, interest, and affection towards me and asked if I could be his girlfriend. Being the person I am, I attacked him with a sloppy kiss only for him to ravish my mouth completely.

"So is that a yes?" he had asked with a chuckle. And I had given him another kiss before I beam happily. "Oh hell yeah! You're mine and I'm yours." I had seen an emotion in his eyes along with lust and adoration, but I didn't question it.

It's been three weeks since that day, and I must admit, it's been three extraordinary weeks. It's great having a boyfriend like Tyler, a total gentleman, but I’m also discovering, he sorta has a bad boy within him too. My bruising hickeys and bite mark currently on my shoulder and neck can prove it.

"Mhmmm. It seems Aunt Destiny is having naughty thoughts," Casey teased.

Blushing, "you're mean!" I whined, causing Casey to giggle.

"Now, go take a shower and look pretty," Casey ordered, waving me off in the direction of the bathroom.

Completely excited, I rush inside, quickly stripping.

I've been skipping through my damn clothes for the past half hour. What the hell do people wear at a brunch? Casey is no help since she's snoring her life away. Ugh. Looking at the time, I'm almost late.

"Damn it all," I mumbled, getting dress in something comfortable.

Wriggling my ass in a pair of dark blue skinny jeans, I patted my butt in satisfaction. Roaming my shirts and blouse, I finally decided on a grey tank-top, with a grey & white pattern shirt, putting them on after pulling out a pair of cream boots. Topping my look, I actually styled my hair by curling it. Hmmm, not bad. I thought, giving myself a last look over. Mama always said I have natural beauty, so the only thing I've applied to my face is a little lipgloss, mascara, and a small amount of foundation.

"Okay babe, be a good boy and mommy will bring you back some tasty treats," I cooed at Demon, who’s lazing around beside Casey. Grabbing my phone, and car keys, I quickly make my way downstairs, shouting a quick "See you later" to Blue.

"Hey," I'm greeted with a kiss from my sexy hunk once I stepped inside the house.

"Hi, I'm sorry I'm late," I apologized.

"Destiny Hawthorne! Jesus Christ, can't you follow dress codes!? I said brunch. Destiny we're having brunch." Luca hisses softly. "Ugh... You are so lucky you're looking hot and I actually love what you're wearing," he grumbled afterward.

In all fairness, I'm underdressed for this brunch. Looking around, all you can see are women in flowing skirts or dresses, while the men wear dress shirts or suits. Shit. But my focus went from what I was wearing to the mouth-watering heaven I'm seeing up ahead, waiting patiently for me on the never-ending table, are all sorts of exotic looking meals.

"You're drooling." Tyler snickers, causing me to pout. "Awe, don't pout baby. Come on. Let's get you some food." He says, taking my hand, intertwining it with his—the pleasurable shocks electrocuting my insides and turning them to complete mush.

Oh how much I love this guy. Hold up! Where did that come from? Do I really love Tyler? Sighing to myself, I let him drag me to the table full of deliciousness and pick what I desire to devour.

Oh my God!

Biting into my banana glazed pancakes. Savoring the taste, and moaning like a whore which got Tyler groaning and Luca glaring at me in disapproval. What?! They're so freaking delicious!

"I swear. You're like a bitch in heat with your goddamn moaning," Luca stated, eating his own food.

I grumble, but keep on eating. He will not spoil my happy moment with these babies.

--------

Damn. I'm so full, I can't even bloody move an inch. So I've been sitting outside for a while now, caressing my slightly bloated stomach.

"May I sit?" An unfamiliar voice asked. Glancing upward, seeing a lady who looks a lot like Mrs. Tuner—my teacher. With her light blond hair made up in a tight bun. Golden eyes looking at me in odd curiosity, her slender body stands gracefully at approximately 5'5 beside the empty chair. Oval face with long eyelashes along with semi-plum lips was well neatly done with light makeup. She's dressed elegantly in a black, pencil skirt, a white crispy blouse neatly tucked in, and nude pumps. She's beautiful.

I only nod, giving her the go-ahead to sit.

"Hello, Destiny. It's nice to finally meet you in person," she says, after a few moments of quietness. And just like that, my guard goes up. I don't respond. I just turn and stare at her blankly, but then she continues. "My name is Anna Wilson-DeLuca." She introduces herself without me having to ask her to.

Damn it, please ancestors not today!

"Why are you here, and what do you want from me?" I asked, with no emotion whatsoever. I see a small amount of fear, but it quickly vanishes as she stands her ground. Hmm. A Luna with some backbone. No wonder she's his wife.

"Please, give us a few minutes of your time," she begs, almost desperately.

Who the hell are we? But I get my answer when I sensed it.

"D... Destiny," a deep voice stumbled, hesitantly.

Turning around to look at the man who ruined my mother, the person whose eyes I've inherited, among other abilities.

Dante DeLuca!

"I repeat, what the hell do you want?"

He lets out a breath before speaking.

"My name is Dante..." And that's all I let him say before I cut him off with my handheld high.

"You're Dante DeLuca and you mean nothing to me," I declared, rather coldly. A flicker of hurt and pain briefly lingered in his silver eyes, but I could care less. Said emotions, suddenly turned into anger. There's the alpha. He's very handsome, even with his slightly greying hair. He's approximately 6'5, athletic muscular body, a sharp jaw, and thick eyelashes. No wonder mom was strung upon him.

"You will show me some respect," he retorted, his voice going deeper than before, making my temper flare through the roof. He did not just go alpha on me!

Tilting my head to the side. "Respect you?" I mocked. "Respect! Do you even know that word or what it really means? My respect is earned, asshole! You're Dante DeLuca and you mean shit to me, you're just the guy that had my mom wrapped around your fingers—knocking her up!"

"What I am is your father, young lady!" he snapped, almost flooring me with his words.

Jumping to my feet. "You're not my father, you're just a sperm donor! And also a coward, who couldn't claim the woman he supposedly loved, yet here you are, talking about respect," I snarled, pointing my finger at him.

By the time I'm finished, we've drawn a few spectators. Everyone staring at us in shock and mostly, disbelief at the revelation of my genetics.

"Be grateful that I don't knock you where you stand, prick," I threaten, dead serious on committing the act.

Dante snarls, with a wild rage in his eyes. Well, I guess he didn't appreciate my outburst and along with that threat, a huge dimwit steps forward, ready to kill.

"I fucking dare you," I challenged him, glaring. "Just make my damn day, asshole. Come on!" I yelled, getting ready for a fight by taking my stance.

And as I thought, he backs away in submission as everyone looks stunned. Damn it! My eyes burn, along with my gums as my fingers tingle. I need to get the hell out of here before I kill these people.

"Dammit!" I grumbled, feeling the urge to cry. Using my power of levitation to help me get away quickly. I leap upward, creating a vortex midair to boost me over the surrounding wall. To say the crowd's shock would be an understatement, but I didn't care. I just need to get away from this place as quickly as possible.

Away from him as far as possible.

******

I've been crying, I don't know how long. I have no idea. I just came home and ran up to my room, locking the door. Demon had followed, but I just crumbled to the floor when he began whining, but I didn't care. I just wanted to be alone.

Why did he have to come and talk to me?

A part of me wanted to hug the man who's my father, but the other part of me just wanted to hate his guts and be angry at him. And I fed off of that anger at the brunch gathering. I hate him so much. He's the reason she died.

I continue crying my eyes out. Only to hear a loud crash, but I'm too tired to mind. Feeling strong arms picking me up bridal style from off the floor, I'm laid on something soft and I realize that it's my own bed.

"I've got you beautiful, go to sleep. I'll be here when you're awake and ready to talk." Is all I could make out before darkness engulfs me.
