The Great Showbiz Commando

Chapter 19 Let Teammates Down

In LX Private Restaurant, everyone was so hungry that their breasts were close to their backs. The waiter served a plate of roasted pigs, and it was quickly slit into pieces by everyone with chopsticks. Muriel stretched out her chopsticks to pick up the last piece on the plate, but a pair of chopsticks reached out from the side and caught Muriel's chopsticks.

Muriel loosened her chopsticks and turned to look at the cheeky Culbert, "You can have this, Mr. Yang."

After saying that, Muriel turned her chopsticks to pick up other food into her bowl. Culbert picked up the meat and put it into Muriel's bowl. He said in a strange tone, "This meat is for you. Look at your body. You are so thin. It's good for your health. Women should be plump." After saying that, he stared at Muriel's chest wantonly.

Muriel looked at the meat in her bowl, which was stained with saliva from Culbert's chopsticks, and suddenly lost her appetite. She raised her head and said to Director Quentin, "I'm going to the washroom. I'll be back soon."

"Okay." Director Quentin who was enjoying his drinks with deputy director answered without raising his head.

Someone was drunk and slowly walked with his hand against the wall. When his hand was just against the door of the box, Muriel suddenly opened the door. The other party couldn't react and fell into the box. Muriel quickly held the other party's body.

"Thank you." The man shook his head to sober himself up as much as possible. When he looked up and saw the person who held him, his eyes widened in disbelief. "Muriel..."

Muriel recognized him, glared at him and winked at the outside. The man immediately swallowed his unfinished words and looked at Muriel with a dull look in his eyes.

"What's wrong?" Culbert looked at the two standing at the door and asked in confusion.

The man quickly reacted and waved his hand shyly. "Nothing. Thank you."

After saying that, he staggered out first, and then Muriel also went out and closed the door of the box.

The man went to the bathroom. Muriel went out of the restaurant and bought two boxes of stomach medicine. Then she went to the exit of the restaurant and saw that the man had been waiting here. "Captain! Why are you here? Why is your hair like this?" The man asked in a low voice despite his excitement.

Looking at Muriel with short silver hair, the man bit the tip of his tongue. The pain spread all over his nerves, telling him that it was not a dream!

Without answering him, Muriel threw the bag to him. The man took it and saw it was stomach medicine. He couldn't help smiling brightly.

"John Huang, why do you have to compete to drink with others regardless of your stomach illness? Do you want to die?" Muriel snorted.

John Huang scratched his head and said shyly, "It's not easy for me to have a holiday and go home. My old friends invited me out for a drink." He looked up at Muriel in confusion, "Captain! Why are you here?

"

"I'm no longer your captain. I'm demobilized." Muriel looked at his confused look and sighed.

"Captain, why did you suddenly leave the army? You were supposed to have a promising future..." "John Huang! I don't want to talk about this with you anymore. Just take it as I'm tired of the army. "

"How could it be possible?" John Huang said excitedly, Captain, didn't you tell us that wearing that uniform is the most proud thing in your life! Why did you give up easily! This is not your style!"

Lowering her head, Muriel didn't know how to explain. She used to be an excellent disciple in the special force and became the team leader because of her extraordinary talents. Over the years, she had taken over countless tasks, big or small, but not long ago, her instructor had arranged her a task: be an undercover agent in the entertainment circle!

The fewer people knew about her identity, the better. Therefore, except for Richard, the instructor and the intelligence department, no one knew that Muriel had retired to be an undercover, and even her father hadn't been told.

Everyone in the army only knew that the captain of the special forces had suddenly submitted an application for retirement in advance. Before people could figure out the reason, they found that she had already left the army, and this matter had become an unsolved mystery.

"Wearing that uniform is indeed the most proud thing in my life, but I'm a woman and I'm tired. I don't want to stay in the army, so I retired. " Muriel walked up to him, patted him on the shoulder and sighed, "It's not easy to have a holiday. Just have a good rest. Don't drink too much and stay with your family more."

John shook off Muriel's hand and stepped back. He shook his head and murmured, "The captain I know is the one who told us to die on the battlefield! You, you are not the captain!" After that, he stumbled out of the room in disappointment.

Looking at her right hand, Muriel stood there numbly.

The phone in her pocket vibrated. Muriel picked it up and found it was a message from Richard. "Have you had dinner?" Was it fun to shoot on the set today?

"Yes, it's not fun." After sending the message, Muriel leaned against the wall and buried her head between her legs.

The phone vibrated crazily. It was a call from Richard.

"What's wrong with you?" Richard asked worriedly.

"Nothing." Muriel rubbed her swollen eyes and said in a nasal voice.

Richard tightened his grip on the phone and asked gently, "Are you crying?"

Hearing Richard's voice, Muriel couldn't hold back her tears anymore from dropping on the ground. She looked up at the ceiling with grievance. She hated herself to be coward. "What's wrong, Muriel? I said that I would protect you for the rest of my life. If you are wronged by someone, just tell me. I don't believe that I can't kill him. " Richard said coldly. Muriel sniffed and grumbled, "Murder is illegal."

"Ahem." Richard cleared his throat. Imagining the embarrassed look of Richard, Muriel burst into laughter through tears.

Hearing Muriel's laughter, Richard felt relieved and asked, "Tell me what has happened."

Thinking of the disappointment in her teammate's eyes, Muriel felt bad. Even though Richard had guessed that there was a mission for her to enter the entertainment circle, she still didn't want to leak out anything about the army.

Muriel rolled her eyes and said, "I was molested by a male actor on the set today!"

Crack! Crack! Richard threw the cup on the ground.

"What's wrong with you?"

With cold eyes, Richard said in a softer tone, "It doesn't matter. A cat knocked over my cup."

Standing aside, Secretary Chen looked at Richard who threw the blame to a cat and admired his boss' ability to lie.

Muriel asked in surprise, "You have a cat? Don't you hate pets the most? "

"It doesn't matter. Who is the male actor?" Richard said calmly, but the coldness in his eyes made people retreat. 0000
