Chapter 1852
If it was not for Cora's bullshit, Alba would not have doubted the diagnosis of the two young Zamri doctors and would have believed Dr. Georg instead.
On the other hand, Cara was losing it from sheer pain and snapping at her own husband, "Gero Quill! Your brother has just hurt your wife, and you're doing nothing?! You're such a loser!" "Enough!" Saul bellowed before things could really get out of hand.
As the room turned silent, he glared at Alba, who was on the verge of losing his mind. "This isn't the time for the blame game, Alba! We should be doing our best and try to save Megan! She'd really die if you keep messing around!" While Alba came to his senses thanks to Saul, Saul wheeled on Cara, pointing at the door as he bellowed, "And you! Get out of here!"
"Saul..." Gero tried to speak.
"Out!" Saul bellowed even louder.
"Okay..." Gero murmured awkwardly as he helped his wife out of the room.
As soon as the door closed, however, they could all hear Cara snapping at him, "You spineless worm! You did nothing while your brother hit me! My god... why did I marry such a loser?!"
Nonetheless, her crazed rants soon became distant, leaving the room eerily silent.
"What should I do?"
As Alba calmed down just then, he glanced at Saul, the brothers trading an awkward look just then.
After all, they both were thinking of the same person-Frank.
It was not just the two young doctors from Zamri, as Frank had explained Megan's condition, but in greater detail.
He warned that the anti-allergy serum would accelerate the hatching of the parasitic eggs, after which Megan would become bug food.
Everything that had just happened proved what he said.
It was therefore especially
embarrassing that they just chased Frank away. In fact, Alba even yelled at him, saying that he did not need Frank's help even if his daughter died.
And now, as soon as Frank left, the eggs hatched.
Even so, Alba certainly could not sit by and watch as his daughter died.
Gritting his teeth, he started toward the door, intent on bringing Frank back.
However, just as he walked past Saul, Saul suddenly pressed a
hilder, holding him at
"Saul?" Alba turned toward him, confused.
"Alba, I know Megan's death is terrible for you, but-"
"What?!"
Alba gaped at his brother in disbelief, murmuring, "But Megan's still alive! She isn't dead!" "No."
Saul turned away quietly, his eyes flashing coolly. "She's already dead."
Alba did a double take when he saw that his brother's eyes were devoid of emotion, but he soon came to a realization.
And when he did, he was sweating all over his face.
Saul was really intent on letting Megan die!
