Chapter 1838
One of the soldiers snorted. "Hah! If Governor Quill is your grandfather, then my dad is the president of Draconia!" Then, shoving Frank's chest with his rifle's barrel to chase him out of the perimeter, he barked, "Leave! You're not welcome here!" "What?!"
While Frank was a little suspicious of how hostile the soldiers suddenly were, he spotted a black Lincoln limousine arriving from a distance before he could call Governor Quill.
Seeing Frank just then, a middle-aged man with a crew cut lowered the electric window and poked his head out to ask, "Hey, what's going on here?"
One of the soldiers nodded his head respectfully at the man as he reported, "Master Alba, this is Frank Lawrence, and he's the one who destroyed the Droitner Inc. exhibition. He claims that Governor Quill is his maternal grandfather, and he's here as Ms. Quill's doctor." "Frank Lawrence?"
Alba Quill clearly remembered the name, as he turned to look at Frank in surprise.
Frank lowered his phone in turn-Governor Quill had mentioned that he had told his family about Frank, even suggesting that Frank take his seat as the governor.
Naturally, Frank was not interested in that position, but having his name recognized would get him inside Quill Manor.
And judging from his appearance, Alba must be one of Governor Quill's sons and most definitely knew Frank.
In that case, Frank would not have to bother Governor Quill again either.
Making up his mind, he walked up to Alba with a smile. "Hello. I'm Frank Lawrence, and I'm here as Ms. Quill's doctor. May I ask if you're..."
However, Alba saw Frank offering a handshake and did not take it, and he smirked at Frank instead. "Sorry, I don't know who you are. And this is Quill family property, so leave if you have no business here. Also, my daughter doesn't need some frivolous man like you to poke around."
And with that, he raised the window, while the black Lincoln drove straight into a garage after the sentries opened the door.
Frank was left scowling and rubbing his brow, feeling disappointed as he watched the black Lincoln drive off.
So that was Megan Quill's father? The apple truly did not fall far from the tree.
In fact, Frank had actually forgotten how difficult and unlikable Megan was after meeting her just a couple of days ago.
It was only normal for her to have
come from such a father. Hell, forget Alba-Megan's mother, and perhaps the rest of the Quill family, were nothing good.
After all, it was just like Governor Quill had said he had to keep his distance after he drove his youngest son insane with his death aura.
That would in turn mean allowing the children free rein, and with such freedom, the Quills were most definitely not disciplined at all. "Urgh, what a bother."
Frank rubbed his brow-the thought that people who were way worse than Megan awaited left him a little irritated.
In fact, he thought about giving up.
However, he was a man of his word, and he had given it to Governor Quill.
Hence, even as the soldiers glared at him warily, he whipped out his phone in exasperation to call Governor Quill.
"Hello? Yeah, Grandfather. It's me again... Yeah, I'm not allowed into Quill Manor. Haha, don't blame the guards-they're just doing their jobs..."
Hence, after a brief exchange, the soldiers' captain provided Frank a pass.
Moreover, the soldiers who were just chasing Frank away were suddenly each exceedingly respectful after learning that Frank really was Governor Quill's grandson,
