The Girl He Banished

Chapter The Banishment

The courtroom was filled to it's full capacity, as the pack members gathered to witness the most awaited judgement of the day.

Their eyes fixed on the 17 year old girl standing in the box of the accused. Looking down at her shaking hands, with eyes dead and face covered in an expression of pain.

Heavy chains of silver were hanging from her neck and her thin wrists were restrained in it's grip. A loose t shirt covered her thin frame.

As she stood oblivious to everything.

A Traitor's Daughter

Is what everyone was calling her. And those who said parents deed get transferred to their offsprings were proving true today.

"Derek Water's betrayal to our pack was rewarded by the pack members taking law in their own hands. On account of the tragic accident that happened in front of our eyes last night, I hereby announce justice to be served by unlawful ways."

Her grip on the banister tightens, as the dying face of her father. Flashes in front of her eyes. The brutal way in which her father was lynched by these very people, making her heart to bleed with no respite .

The tears which she thought got empty yesterday. Flooded out.

Telling her, they were going to be perennial, Just like the never-ending ache in her heart.

"Leaving us with Eirene Waters judgement. Which is going to be passed today.”

A shiver runs down her spine, thinking about her fate. But she was ready to accept it, as it was bound to happen today.

"Do you Eirene Water's, knew of your father scheming to collude with the rogues and attack the other day?"

The council member asks making her subconscious mind to repeat in her ears.

Ligh!

But she couldn't. She never could. She stood with what is right, and she will die before she disagree s with it.

"I did”

Gasps echo. With the eyes of the bystanders, burning in flames of anger. But she didn't cared. Knowing this was inevitable.

"And may the court know. Why did you agreed to remain silent, despite knowing it?"

Looking up, she meets the eyes of the speaker for the first time. Speaking in coldness.

"Because he was right. My father did nothing wrong by killing the Alpha.”

The crowd went crazy. Seeing the girl blaming their dead Alpha, without any remose in her eyes. Some even jumping over to reach her, to be only stopped by the guards.

"Are you saying that your father was right in planning the attack and getting our Alpha Killed?" She didn’t think much. Answering without reluctance.

YEsT

That was it. She signed her death sentence right there. Ready to meet her father in heaven or rather hell, if she has to.

The speaker places down his spectacles to sigh. Looking at the stupid yet daring girl.

"It's decided then. There is no rebuttal for it"

Eirene takes a deep breath. Closing her eyes. As the final judgement was going to be announced.Knowing already, that betrayal is rewarded with only one thing.

Death.

Yet call her crazy, but she felt happy. Content with it.

"Eirene Water's is hereby declared to be a traitor to the Redmoon pack, and as the elders of the council we declare her to be hang-..."

"Stop"

A voice booms in the hall. To have everyone to turn around to look at the man walking towards the front.

With their eyes widening.

Each and every person in the courtroom bows as the newly elected Alpha enters, taking the position of his dead father.

In whose case this court was making a declaration.

"Alpha King! Greetings!"

The entire council stood up. Welcoming their Alpha, to make the boy of mere 18 to nod.

His eyes locking with the brown eyes of the girl, he has known for last 17 years. To only continue, walking towards his throne.

Eirene's eyes widen. Seeing him enter. And she wished he hadn't.

The man sitting on the throne was no longer her childhood best friend who hugged her when she cried and tried to make her smile with his stupid jokes. He was no longer the one who kissed her forehead and did sweet talk with her.

He was the Alpha King now.

The son of the man, her father has murdered in cold blood.

The blood of the man, her father spilled.

"We weren't expecting you Alpha! Or we would have waited. Apologies”

His grey orbs don't move away from the girl, that he thought he had feelings for. The girl he cared for, to be only betrayed.

"Continue"

He orders and the proceeding continues.

"The punishment for Eirene Water's has been decided Sir. If you don't object-"

"l do"

Eirene's eyes met his grey ones. Trying to explain him her reasons via her eyes, when the Alpha was only blinded by revenge and fury.

His emotionless eyes only showing his detest and disgust.

Blind to her pains and explanations.

Looking at the elders of the council. He continues.

"I am the new werewolf King after my father. And I am the one who is going to decide the fate of the prisoners from now on."

Clenching his fist. The image of the bloodshed flashes in front of his eyes. And he speaks with authority redefined.

"I Mateo King hereby give my first order in the Royal court”

"I order that from this second hence..."

His eyes met her scared ones one last time, as he completes. Disregarding all that she ever done for him.

".... Eirene Water's is to be banished from the Redmoon pack. Forever"

Deadly silence follows. As everyone stares at the girl standing in the defendant box.

The punishment was worse if not better than the earlier one. Instead death was easy, yet being banished and made rogue at such a tender age, and that also being a girl.

Survival was impossible

A death brutal and torturous in hands of rogues who use shewolves for pleasure and kill them for fun.Was the worst any girl could ask for.

Her hand from the banister drops, like the beat of her heart. And all her hopes of him saving her die. The man was no longer the boy she knew.

He was a stranger now.

"Do you Eirene Water's, object to the charges placed on you?"

And that's when a broken smile leaves her lips, as she whispers staring into the emotionless eyes of the man she loved all of her life till now with her everything.

" When the very person I have loved with my everything in this lifetime believes I have betrayed him."

"I am no one to object.”

He doesn't say anything. Just stares as the hands that held his and comforted him in his hard times, get bolted in shackles and are pulled roughly.

A rogue tears leaving her eyes, and she lowers them.

This was it. The last time she was seeing him.

A tug on her wrist, made her turn her back on him. There was no need for goodbyes, when she was going to die anyways . And when he ordered this.

Walking out with the guards with head held high.

She was ready to be thrown out of the pack, to the world of unknown she has feared all her life. Ready to be a rogue in the world where the survival of a girl alone was never heard of.

She was Eirene Water's

The girl that he banished from his Kingdom.

And this is her story.
