The Gay Nerd Who Stole His Heart

Chapter 41

Kylan sat on his bed, staring at the familiar designs on the wall. He remembered the first time he had woken up in this room, still in disbelief that he had slept in Jonah Minty's room. However, it also reminded him of Jonah's insults, his rage as he pounded his face to the point that he needed to go to the hospital. Had bruises on his face, busted eyebrow that needed stitches. It reminded him of the day Jonah had been at school with Leah; his heart sunk. Such rollercoaster he never thought could happen, but the problem was that he missed having him. Hence why he sat on the bed, merely sighing and waiting for Jonah to return.

Jonah returned with soda cans and handed them on to Kylan. He had put on a shirt and seemed a bit stressed that Kylan was present. He had dreamed of this moment for weeks, and it was finally happening, and he was hoping that once Kylan exited the room, they would at least be on civil groundings. Kylan thanked him for the can and opened it, taking a sip and feeling a bit better, although his mind was still drunk.

Jonah sat at his desk chair and faced Kylan, observing how he innocently drank his soda, seeming to be the softest creature on Earth. Such guilt he felt for hurting him, and he wished he could remove all the pain he had caused. Kylan was the first to start the conversation, "Did you have sex with Katie?"

Jonah nodded his head, "Yes." When he saw his jaw fall rigid, he asked, "Did you have sex with Charles?"

Kylan paused for a moment, then also nodded his head, "Yea..."

Jonah felt his heart sting slightly but leaned forward in his chair as he chuckled, "Better than me?"

Kylan smiled weakly, shaking his head, "No." A silence fell between them, and Jonah's heart was sinking deeper in his chest with every second. Kylan broke the silence by whispering, "Where did we go wrong?" Jonah shrugged his shoulders, "I hurt you, and I'm sorry."

"You're not gay, Jonah," Kylan breathed with sorrow, "You like girls-"

"Why do you keep trying to tell me what I am?" Jonah hissed, shaking his head. He raised his eyes and met Kylan's, "Yes, I have sex with girls, but that doesn't mean I never loved you."

"It does mean that."

Jonah was mind blown, but he forced himself to keep his composure as he hissed, "In what world does that make sense, Kylan?"

"I don't know, my world."

"You're so stubborn. I hate it," he spat.

Kylan shrugged his shoulders, "Here you go again, insulting me—"

"Because it's true, Kylan," he exclaimed, widening his arms, "I don't know whose hurt you in the past, made you not trust anybody, but you're not listening to what I'm saying." "I am listening."

"No, you're not."

Kylan rolled her eyes, "You literally had sex with your ex-girlfriend hours after we fought, for the first time—"

"And I made a mistake," he snarled.

"And I'm supposed to just trust you?"

"You got yourself a boyfriend not even days later, and I'm supposed to believe you weren't talking to him during our relationship?"

Kylan frowned, "I wasn't."

"How should I know?"

"Why are you turning this on me as if I made a mistake?"

Jonah shook his head, lowered his gaze for a moment, and squeezed his eyes shut. They could go back and forth for days, but that was not what he wanted; there was not a chance for him to prove Kylan wrong. Hence why he exhaled a long breath and said, "Look, Kylan, I'm sorry-"

"I don't want to hear an apology; that's not what I need!" Kylan exclaimed, standing from the bed.

Jonah stood from his seat as well, "Can you let me finish?" When Kylan's mouth tightened but shut, he continued, "I'm sorry for what I did to you, and all those words I've said to you, using your insecurities against you, that was all wrong. I should have never put my hands on you, ever. I promise you, that will never happen again—"

"If you feel that way, why did you have sex with Katie tonight at her party?"

Jonah exhaled a long breath, keeping himself calm, "It was just sex. You had sex with Charles, didn't you?"

"That's because I don't love you anymore," he spat. "I love Charles."

Jonah paused for a moment before he snickered, raising his eyebrows and saying, "Oh yeah? I'm supposed to believe you come to my house, tell me you miss me, but you don't love me, at all?"

"Right," Kylan affirmed, to which Jonah rolled his eyes.

"You're annoying," Jonah shook his head, "You're so annoying."

"And you're an asshole," Kylan spat, "A bitch as well."

"You're a sissy," Jonah spat back, "so frail and weak. You take everything to heart as if nobody is ever supposed to mess up around you."

"Your mess up was constant-"

"It was one time!" Jonah exclaimed, his shoulders broadening, "I messed up, and I've admitted it. But I loved you, okay? I don't think I'm gay, Kylan, never was, and I still don't. It's something about you," he gritted his teeth and stepped forward, his fingers reaching for his jaw and caressing him, "Something about those eyes, those lips, those cheekbones, those ears, this hair..." he exhaled a long breath, holding Kylan's face and examining the features he had missed before adding, "Please, give me one more chance."

He was way too close, and Kylan's hormones reacted before he even realized what was occurring. He placed his lips onto Jonah with such urgency that Jonah needed to resist the aggression and weakly pushed him back a bit. However, his hormones were rumbling as well, and he sped up the process, reaching for Kylan's dress shirt and ripping it apart, a few buttons falling and tumbling on his floor. He wrapped his arm around Kylan's waist, placed him on the bed, and climbed on top.

Kylan breathed heavily, staring as Jonah pulled away for a moment to pull his shirt over his head and throw off his sweats. Then he leaned forward, placing his lips onto Kylan's chest and reaching for his belt buckle. When he heard the click, he smirked and descended his lips. Before it proceeded, Jonah met Kylan's gaze and whispered, "I love you, you know that."

Kylan paused, then nodded his head, "Yes, I do."
