Chapter The Forced 129
Chapter 129
Sabrina's POV:
My muffled screams filled the air. I thrashed on the bed, clawing at Devon's hand on my neck. It hurt so fucking bad. my eyes burned from the lack of air and my head became very light "Get off her!" I heard a loud scream. Devon was thrown off me.
My hands went to my neck and I inhaled large gulps of air. I quickly sat up in bed. Caldan had thrown Devon off me, and he looked furious.
"How dare you lay a hand on her?!" He barked at Devon.
Devon responded by throwing a punch. Caldan dodged his head to the side. Devon charged at him again, fists drawn as he began to attack Caldan.
Caldan matched him pace for pace. Neither of them succeeded in landing a hit on each other. I moved to the wall and pressed my back to it. I tried to call out for Caldan but my throat hurts each time I tried to speak.
I had no idea that Devon was this strong. I mean I knew he was strong, but not like this. Not going toe to toe with Caldan, of all people!
"What on earth is your problem?" Caldan asked Devon. He stood back, his body tense with anger. "Who the fuck set you up to do this?"
"Killing your girlfriend?" Devon asked. He turned to me. I took a step back and pressed myself closer I to the wall. He turned back and faced Caldan. "No one put me up to it. I can do whatever the fuck I want to do to my breeder, and that includes kill her. If I so wished to." "Breeder?!" Caldan asked with shock.
Devon scoffed, a haughty smile on his lips. "You might have escaped now, but you won't be so lucky all the time." He said to
1. me.
"Bold of you to threaten her in front of me."
"That goes to you too." Devon said. He looked at me,a and that look was nothing short of malicious. "I'll see you around." My heart won't stop beating fast. Devon walked out of the room and quietly shut the door behind him like he hadn't just tried to kill me and also fight Caldan.
"Sabrina," Caldan called. He rushed over to me and grabbed my shoulders. "Did he hurt you?"
I shook my head. Caldan's eyes moved to my neck and his eyes darkened. He touched my neck and I winced from the pain.
"I'm going to kill that bastard." He hissed darkly. In a tone I'd never heard him use before. but then again he's been doing a lot of things I don't know him for.
"You...that's not right..." I said.
"He hurt you. How can I ever forgive that? He tried to kill you!"
"But I'm fine now." I touched his band and lowered it from my neck. "You saved me. Before he could do anything."
"I will still kill him."
Something about his tone told me he wasn't joking. I swallowed nervously, his eyes boring into mine.

Chapter 129
"Caldan..."
"Did he touch you?" He asked. "He mentioned something about you being a breeder. Did that man touch you?"
"He didn't." I shook my head. "He didn't ever touch me. He only said those things to rile you up."
"Were you his breeder?"
79%
"Yes. But he didn't touch me. He told me to tell anyone who asked that he did. I don't know his reasons but he didn't ever touch me. Please..you have to believe me."
"Sabrina," He said softly and cupped both sides of my face. "You don't need to beg me. I believe you. Okay?"
I nodded, and I felt tears prick my eyes. "Thank you. But please...don't leave me alone right now. I can't stand that."
"I'm not leaving you. I'm sorry, I shouldn't even have left you for a second." He took my hand and led me to the bed. "I'm here,"
We got into bed and he pulled the covers over us. I moved as close to him as I could get, my arms wrapped around his middle. He pulled my head to his shoulder, his hands stroking my hair gently. I liked this. Us being in bed together.
But at the same time, I was terribly scared for what he next day would bring.

The next morning came too soon. I was able to sleep thanks to Caldan next to my side. We were to leave at the crack of dawn, and Everything was already packed and ready to go.
"I'm coming with you." A voice said from the door as Caldan and I were rounding up the last things. We both turned to see
Devon.
Again.
"Excuse me?" Caldan asked.
"Since you
won't return her to me, I'm coming with the both of you."
Caldan walked up to him. "Is that the problem here? Then fine. Il pay you back whatever you spent on her. Double." "No." Devon said. "Payment is none of my concern. Since you won't give her to me, I'll come with
you
both."
"That's not going to happen." Caldan said simply. "You will not come with us."
"Devon!" King Calias walked into the room. "What is this?! Why are you standing here?! Going with them, are you mad?!"
"Your majesty." Devon said tightly.
"King Calias." Caldan said with a nod. I bowed. The old king turned to us. "Please, restrain your nephew. I have tolerated his insults long enough."
"Devon. Step back. That's an order." King Calias said to Devon. "You seem to have forgotten who this man is. Would you like to incur the wrath of the Chronicle?"
"This isn't about the chronicle. This is about my fucking breeder
"She's not your breeder anymore." King Calias said. "She belongs to Lord Caldan and that is final,"

Belonging to one man and then the other. It all left a bad taste in my mouth. But at the end of the day I would have to choose a lesser evil.
Devon huffed in annoyance and turned to leave. I exhaled a sigh of relief.
"I have the carriage prepared." King Calias said. "I hope your journey back is pleasant."
"Thank you." Caldan said.
