Chapter 12
Gabriel opened his eyes disoriented and confused as his vision was first blurred but came to as he looked around the room. He was seated in a chair and as he tried to stand up he found himself chained both legs and arms to the floor. He clenched his teeth trying to break the chains even using his angelic strength, but right when he was close to breaking free someone walked in, the man who ordered the men to attack Jasmine.
“Afternoon. Special Agent Fuller.” He introduced himself.
“Where is Jasmine?”
“Jasmine Peters is in the next room. She is safe. You should be worried about yourself.” The man placed down several folders and pictures in front of Gabriel. “Who are you, is the question. Where did you come from is the better question.”
Gabriel remained quiet then unsure of what to tell this man who was clearly human. Would telling them who he really was cause more damage than good? Xavier had even warned him that telling the truth could attract the wrong kind of people. Gabriel had to have faith in them. It was his entire speech to Jasmine. If he couldn’t then how did he expect her too?
“Do I stand out more than others?” Gabriel asked, curiously as Agent Fuller sat beside him unafraid.
Agent Fuller scoffed. “You can say that. We don’t have you in any of our databases. You are a ghost and the government can’t afford Ghosts.” He replied, leaning in at first, but then relaxing in the chair. “So who are you?”
“My name is Gabriel.”
“That’s it. No last name?”
Gabriel shook his head. “Would you believe me if I told you I was an angel?” Agent Fuller started to laugh then. “Do you not believe in angels, Simon?”
Agent Fuller stopped laughing then as he called him by his first name. “How do you know that?” he became serious then as Gabriel smiled.
“I can tell you your entire history. I am an angel sent to earth to protect Jasmine Peters.”
“What, like a terminator?”
Gabriel looked confused at the term. “I’m not sure…”
“Listen Gabriel. I can tell you believe what you say is true, but technology can debunk anything you have. You researched my name because you are a terrorist.” Agent Fuller pointed to a file then capturing Gabriel’s attention. “I lied before. You are in the database, but it’s not making much sense. Gabriel Hall has been dead for over thirty years. Tragic car accident with his entire family and his older brother Ezekiel Hall. So there is no way you are who you claim.”
Gabriel’s heart dropped then as he looked at the file and then moved it over to reveal pictures. His heart sank once he looked at the crush and flashes from the past started to pierce his mind. It was as he thought. His doubts were now becoming real. He was recruited as an angel not made and so was his brother.
“You want to change that story now?” Agent Fuller added looking at Gabriel, touch the pictures.
He shook his head. “I am an angel. I died many years ago, but clipped my wings to help protect Jasmine Peters.”
“Why does the psychic need protecting?”
“The earth has become flooded with demons. They are taking the souls for themselves instead of following the holy order. The Almighty needs those souls to win the war against Lucifer.” Agent Fuller stood then as Gabriel followed him with his eyes. “Please where is Jasmine? Take me to her.”
“You know we usually don’t get your race in these kinds of situations. To honestly believe you are a higher power. It’s usually more of my kind.”
Gabriel looked confused as Agent Fuller spoke regarding his race, but Gabriel didn’t know what that had to do with anything, but then it dawned on him the pictures on the church of the white Jesus, Jasmine’s statement about power. Clearly they thought themselves to be the superior race when in all honesty they were so insignificant in the grand scheme of things. The universe was vast with Angels and demons that were taking over their bodies, how could race even play a factor in this holy war for souls?
Even though Gabriel knew, he wanted Agent Fuller to admit it. “What do you mean by your kind and my kind?”
Agent Fuller shook his head as he tried to say his words very carefully. “African Americans. They aren’t usually this…delusional unless on some type of high functioning drug, but we tested your blood and it came back cleaner than I ever seen anyone’s blood.”
“Do you treat African Americans different because of the color of their skin?” Gabriel asked curiously, the thought causing his worry to increase tenfold for Jasmine.
“Some may say we do, but it’s nothing personal.”
“Look at me when I tell you this.” Gabriel’s eyes began to glow bright gold as he threatened Agent Fuller. “If you think about touching Jasmine I won’t hesitate to hurt you. Now where is she?”
Agent Fuller stood not believing his own eyes seeing Gabriel’s eye color change right in front of him. Fear struck him and he paused. “I’ll be right back.”
Gabriel waited still debating whether or not to break out of the chains or stay hidden. His instinct told him he should just wait. If he learned anything, no matter how cocky, people weren’t ready for the truth. Agent Fuller returned with something on his knuckles, metal like rings around his three middle fingers. He kicked the chair from under Gabriel causing him to fall to the ground due to the chains on his ankles and wrists.
“What are you doing here? And try not to lie to me.” The punch to Gabriel’s face caused his head to turn, but no blood to spill. That must’ve angered Agent Fuller because he punched him again and again until he was satisfied. “You think this is cruel for your skin color huh?” Agent Fuller punched Gabriel again, spilling blood out of his mouth as he punched. Gabriel fought for control then. His eyes turned gold again and his entire body started to glow. “Why are you here?”
“I am here to protect Jasmine Peters.” Gabriel repeated himself over and over as spit left his mouth as he prepared himself for the next hit. The knuckle rings broke to Fuller’s dismay against Gabriel’s skin.
“We’re going to take a little break and use a different tactic, but don’t get too comfortable.” Fuller placed Gabriel back in his chair and grabbed his face hard. “You are nothing, but a piece of shit. I will get the truth out of you one way or the other.” Fuller yanked his face back as Gabriel tried his best to stay calm and not let his emotion take over.
He was growing extremely frustrated alone for a moment, chanting over and over in his head that he wouldn’t hurt them. It was against the rules to do so until the door opened again to reveal a woman this time. Slender, Indian descent with long hair and big full lips. She sat in front of Gabriel looking at him wryly.
“I’m Cyndil Anand, I’m a religious anthropologist.” She said in a charming greeting. “And you are?”
“Gabriel.”
“Like in the bible?”
“I suppose…”
“Gabriel the archangel, who sat on the left hand of God. The messenger to Mary and Joseph.”
Gabriel smirked, impressed by the woman. “You studied the religion, but yet you do not believe.”
“Have you been living under a rock? The times have certainly changed and things are becoming critical more now than ever. Just because I do not believe, that doesn’t mean I’m not aware of what he is. Agnostic people know the stories of Christ, but just don’t believe in him. If you saw the things I have, would you believe in a man that has the power to end all things, but does not?”
“Is it the death toll that has made you not believe?”
Cyndil scoffed then. “Death comes for us at some point, and in a dark way if people don’t die then there would be an overflow of people which would cause everyone to die anyway as dark as that sounds. The world would be overpopulated.”
“Every death should be appreciated then?” Gabriel asked, very intrigued. “I’m asking to understand what I can do to tell Jasmine.”
“Dying is inevitable it’s the brutality of it from us. Humans have gone too far when it comes to not only taking life into their hands, but there are rich people while there are homeless people, money matters more than anything and it’s just a piece of paper. We fight over lands and who has the right way of life, religion, thought process, everything down to the color of our skin. The human race as we know it is doomed to fall and destroy the planet any day. At some point you have to ask when is enough enough?”
Gabriel scoffed then looking down. “You sound like Jasmine.”
“She sounds like a smart girl.” Cyndil replied with a reassuring smile. “Now don’t get me wrong I do believe in a higher power. After studying so many different religions I have concluded that people have the same ideas in different ways. The Big Bang Theory of how the universe was created, the God theory, everything seems to have a higher power involved. It’s just a shame this higher power can’t intervene.”
Gabriel leaned close then. With a hm for a response.
“You believe yourself to be an Angel?” She asked, curiously as she pulled out a notepad to jot down notes. “You would be the nineteenth one this month to have this belief.”
“I assure you I’m not as crazy as you make me out to be. I believe you are on to something about the higher power. Out of all the things I heard I can agree with you on that.” Gabriel replied, glad to finally talk to someone he can have a meaningful conversation with. “I want to prove my case, but I feel as if that would jeopardize my case more than help. I need to find Jasmine. She is in danger.”
Cyndil tilted her head in curiosity. “How so?”
Jasmine woke, her head killing her as if she overslept. She wasn’t tied to a chair or considered much of a threat, but they did leave her in a low lit interrogation room. Her heart pounded wildly as fear struck through her core. This was the government now holding her, not a demon, not an angel, her government. The people she feared most and never realized it.
Eventually her gifts would have led her here anyways. Word would’ve gotten around about her abilities and the government of course would want to hone in on her skills, experiment on her and imprison her. The one thing people hated was anything different from them, anything more powerful than beyond their abilities. That gave her pause. If they were going to do those things to her she can only imagine, what would they do to Gabriel.
“Hello Jasmine.” A man walked in, devilishly handsome and refined, he was societies definition of gorgeous. Australian accent, blonde hair and blue eyes, built body. However beautiful he was, Jasmine wasn’t thrown back by his charms and good looks. She was even more guarded. “I’m Agent Lucas. Are you comfortable?”
Jasmine only looked at him as he sat down in front of her at the small table. She knew not to speak, afraid to say too much and knowing silence would be her friend in this case. “Silent but deadly type I see. You have nothing to worry about. You aren’t in any trouble.”
“Then why am I here? And where is Gabriel?” She asked, hitting the table in anger.
“Your friend Gabriel, the one claiming to be an Angel, a warrior for the Almighty he says. You believe him?”
Jasmine’s eyes squinted trying to read Agent Lucas’s mind, but there was that block that let her know she wasn’t speaking to a human being. He was celestial from what side she didn’t know. He could be an angel or a demon, either way Jasmine couldn’t trust him.
“You don’t I assume?”
Agent Lucas nodded while laughing softly. “Oh I do.”
“Who are you?” Jasmine leaned closer as if it was a big secret. “Don’t bullshit me. Be honest. Or are you too afraid to show yourself in front of these humans that would prove Gabriel right?” She made a bold statement even though she was terrified. She couldn’t handle another demon popping out and attacking again or another attack from The Guild.
Agent Lucas looked closely in her eyes and they changed to something sinister and back again. “You know who I am.” The atmosphere changed and the room grew colder as Jasmine breathed she could see the cold coming out her breath. She shivered as the room became darker too causing Jasmine to look out the door for anyone else watching. “You have been looking for me haven’t you?” His Australian accent was now gone.
Jasmine held her breath as she realized who was now sitting across the room from her. “Lucifer.”
He smiled wickedly. “You are pretty smart. You have been going around the city looking for me and beating up my demons so here I am. Honestly I have been looking for you as well Jasmine.”
“Why?”
“You don’t know?” Lucifer chortled. “Of course you don’t know, The Almighty never explains anything to anyone.” He relaxed then as he moved his chair closer to her. “I’m not like him so I will tell you whatever you want to know and everything you need to know. First thing you need to know is who you are. The chosen is what we call you.”
“The chosen?” Jasmine scoffed. “Are you comparing me to Jesus? No offense to you...I mean I don’t care about what you think you are the damn devil, but you have the wrong…”
“Well let’s compare the two of you. Jesus was born on earth to roam as a human as well. He was cast out and made a mockery of not much different from yourself. Your own kind has shunned you and bullied you and I don’t mean just the African Americans I mean everyone you have come into contact with has made you a freak even if you helped them. Simply because they were afraid of you. Afraid of what you could do. Afraid of who you would become. Similar to Jesus himself.”
“Jesus was God’s son. I’m not…”
Lucifer scoffed. “We are all ‘God’s’ children, but The Almighty chose you Jasmine. Why? Why does The Almighty do anything? I wonder why The Almighty even made you all. Humans I mean. Why weren’t The Almighty’s angel’s, the first children not good enough for your ‘God’?” Lucifer trailed off but shook his head to get back on track. “Anyways you have the powers Jesus has. Able to heal the sick, nearly raise the dead. You are it Jasmine. And you are perfect.”
Jasmine’s heart started to beat way too loud in her chest. She couldn’t believe what the devil was telling her. He was a liar. He manipulated like his demons, why would she believe him, but yet there was so much truth in his explanation and it was easier to believe one side of the story when no one has heard the other. If everything he said was true then that meant the fate of the world rested on her shoulders like it did Jesus.
“It is tremendous pressure. I mean look at what happened to my brother Jesus, the first Chosen. He was crucified at the cross and died for everyone’s sins, and for what? Your people don’t appreciate his sacrifice. None of them would’ve ever done it to begin with.” Lucifer said as if reading her mind. “The weight of carrying the fate of humanity, whether they should live or die, it shouldn’t be shouldered by just one person, but The Almighty can’t help but place in front of you this unsolvable test, but you don’t have to do it alone, Jasmine. I am here for you. You give me the word I can make all of it disappear.” Lucifer persuaded as he leaned closer in a charming tone meant to capture her into a trance his hands caressed her cheeks as loving as Gabriel once had and she wanted to fall deep into his spell, but closed her eyes and backed away.
“You expect me to believe you after you tried to send your demons after me? You tried to kill me!” Jasmine blurted, not wanting to believe everything he said to be true when in reality she knew it was. It was a hard pill to swallow about her human race. People weren’t meant to be saved and she wasn’t meant to save them. She couldn’t have been.
Lucifer shook his head. “I had nothing to do with that. I don’t want you dead Jasmine. I wanted you to come to me. I wanted them to bring you to me, but well…if you want something done you do it yourself right. It’s been hard finding good help these days.”
“No!” She screamed. “Take me to Gabriel now.” The room started to shake from something outside like an explosion, but Lucifer wasn’t phased as he grabbed her arm, pulling her closer to him.
“At the end of it all Jasmine your precious angelic bodyguard won’t be an angel for long. It will be up to you and you alone to decide everyone’s fate. This is nothing to run from. You can’t run from it, Jasmine.” He pulled her closer to his body, his mouth super close to hers as he whispered to her. “I will show you what these mere mortals are capable of. I will prove to you I am right.”
The door opened suddenly and Lucifer turned back to Agent Lucas as other agents ran in. “Come with us Miss Peters, the base is under attack.” An agent pulled her out the room while Lucifer walked out casually going the other direction.
“Gabriel!” Jasmine yelled for him as she entered the hallway, holding the wall steady as another attack erupted into the building. “Where is he? Can you take me to him?” Jasmine asked the agent escorting her out.
The sudden shock of the building caused Gabriel and Cyndil to stop their conversation and look up at the ceiling as it shook and cracked. Cyndil stood with fear on her face as she knew what was happening.
“Bomb attack.” She said.
Gabriel opened his mouth to speak, but the building started to cave in on Cyndil causing Gabriel to jump into action, glowing his bright gold, including his eyes as he broke the chains as he could’ve done before now, holding the piece of the ceiling on his back with amazing strength right over Cyndil, protecting her from being crushed. She gasped and looked up at him and yelped as she saw the aura, felt the power. Either Gabriel was a bodybuilder on steroids or Cyndil could believe for that moment that he was really an angel.
“Go. Find Jasmine please, Cyndil.” Gabriel pleaded, unable to move with the huge weight on his back. Cyndil nodded and ran over to the secured door to capture anyone’s attention to let them out by banging needlessly on the window to no avail though.
“It’s locked.” She informed. “Help! Somebody please let us out!” Her hands started pounding hard at the door frame hoping anyone would help her, but no one came. Gabriel groaned knowing what he had to do. He allowed the ceiling piece to fall to the floor ready to hit the door until it opened revealing Jasmine and the agent that helped her.
Gabriel’s eyes lit up knowing she was alright as she ran to him, wrapping her arms around him happy he was unharmed as well. He placed his arms around her back, hugging her tightly engulfing her in his light and warmth.
“We have to go now.” Cyndil yelled in a rush as she ran out the door with the agent.
Gabriel grabbed Jasmine’s hand. “Stay close behind me. Don’t let me go.” He commanded. Jasmine only nodded as they took off running following Cyndil and the agent to safety.
Men from another agency, possible country swarmed in guns blazing shooting and killing whoever they could. The agents fought back but it was a war zone wherever they were. Gun fire racked their brains. Jasmine jumped several times causing Gabriel to pull her closer to him for comfort. The battlefield from humankind was more dramatic and louder than the fight against demons was, but it was all the same war in the end, meaningless as it was.
The hallway was becoming dusty from the blasts outside and the crumbling cement inside. The agent who helped Jasmine was now leading everyone out, trying to find the stairs to go up a floor. “We’re on the basement floor. We need to go up one level to get to an exit.” He informed them while staying very low as he turned to them.
“Who created a basement with no exit?” Jasmine asked in a low whisper scream.
“To keep people like you two from escaping.” The agent replied to Gabriel’s dismay. The agent turned and started walking again, hand on his gun ready to attack at any given moment. Sensing men waiting for them around the corner, Gabriel moved the agent by grabbing his collar and pushing him back from a bullet headed straight for him around the corner. Gabriel placed his hand on his lips to gesture for the agent to be quiet as Cyndil stayed close by Jasmine. He placed Jasmine’s hands in hers while he walked slowly around the corner.
He moved in lightening-like speed, the attacker who shot before was aimed towards him firing again, a set of stylized goggles on their faces, but Gabriel moved to his left, dodging the bullets. He walked quickly towards them causing them to fear as he took the gun from the attacker and head-butted him with the gun knocking him out. Gabriel broke the gun in pieces over his leg not wanting anymore killings. Reminding himself that he couldn’t kill any of humankind.
“What are you doing? We need that gun!” The agent yelled out in a panic coming from behind the corner.
“No this killing is exactly what Lucifer wants.” Jasmine informed them coming into view as she looked to Gabriel who looked confused at her then.
“Did you…” Before he could speak again another shot aimed straight for his head caused Gabriel to fall down. Jasmine screamed going to him immediately to heal him. Blood didn’t even spill though as Cyndil covered her mouth. Only a bright light shone out as the bullet was pushed forwards and out.
Gabriel hurried and stood up causing the agent with them to become speechless as his eyes and jaws nearly fell to the floor. A regular person wouldn’t have been able to survive a direct headshot like that and get up. Therefore what he didn’t believe before had to be true. Gabriel was really an angel. The agent pushed them back and fired hitting the shooter directly in his head clearing the way for them to run. Gabriel grabbed Jasmine’s hand again as the crumpling building threatened to cave in on them.
“How did you do that?” The agent asked. “It’s not possible…”
They turned the corner to more falling debris blocking the stairway to their path up. Gabriel groaned holding up his arms as the dust and fire started to choke them.
“We don’t have time for that now. I have to get you all out of here.” He looked around the crumbling room, finding there was no way around the debris. His eyes glanced up seeing the opening as he got an idea. Thus releasing Jasmine’s hand and jumping high at a point where the debris started crumbling below his feet, but he held on to the stable parts. Intruders were there guns ready aimed towards him in the foggy hallways, but Gabriel could see them well. He turned dodging bullets and giving a backhanded punch to one that was closer to him and then kicking the other while taking his gun. While grabbing another man’s gun breaking his arm to take the gun away the attacker started to fire. Gabriel tried his best to stop the bullets from hitting anyone, even the attacker’s men, but one ran up and was shot square in his chest.
That gave Gabriel pause, he didn’t want to kill anyone, but he had to continue to get Jasmine and anyone who could out of that building alive. Once the room was somewhat clear he poked his head back out through the hole below reaching his arm out for them. “You will have to jump up. Hurry.”
Cyndil held on to Jasmine pushing her to go first. Jasmine wanted to object and suggest she go first, but Cyndil replied, “We’re right behind you. Go.”
Jasmine jumped as high as she could grabbing Gabriel’s hand as he quickly pulled her up. Cyndil went next as the other agent shot his pistol until it was out of rounds keeping the others around the corner out of range giving them time. Once Cyndil was pulled up Gabriel screamed for him to come with them. The agent dropped his gun and took off into a sprint, reaching his arms out as he jumped into Gabriel’s arm, grabbing it with a firm grip, and Gabriel pulled him up.
“This is insane. This is pure insanity.” The agent chanted as they stayed crouched low walking through the hallways Cyndil directing them. “I didn’t believe this at first…We tortured a fucking angel. We are all going to hell.”
Cyndil turned back to him, nearly slapping him in the face. “Would you shut up!” She commanded seriously.
Gabriel stopped causing them to stop as there were some men up ahead. “How far is the exit?” He whispered to Cyndil.
“There is a hangar for our tanks right through that door.” She informed.
“We have to get to a vehicle. Can one of you drive such machinery?” Cyndil and the agent both nodded. “Good on my signal you run for it. Take Jasmine too.”
Jasmine squeezed his hand before he could just walk away to fight. “No. I know what I said before...I told you I didn’t mean it. I don’t want you gone Gabriel. Don’t do this, especially not for me.” Her voice cracked which caused Gabriel to cup her chin.
“You are important Jasmine. All of this would be for nothing if something was to happen to you.”
She placed her hand on top of his. “You are coming with us. We will wait for you. I’m not leaving without you.” There was finality in her voice that made Gabriel want to smile, even in the midst of battle he wanted to kiss that stubborn frown on her face, but he composed himself as he sighed, glancing back at the men in the hallway.
“She’s right you know.” Cyndil added. “We won’t leave without you.”
Gabriel nodded at the new ally he made as he closed his eyes, opening the angelic powers within him, glowing the bright gold as he stepped into the hallway. The light blinded the men giving them enough time to run on the side as Gabriel dodged and blocked bullets with his golden impenetrable hand while walking closer to them. He grabbed one of the men throwing him into the others like he weighed nothing, giving them an opening to run for the door.
Once it was opened there were still several guards there watching the hangar making sure no one could leave. It was only the three of them and Cyndil and the agent didn’t have a gun to defend themselves. They were stuck squatting behind a van for cover. Jasmine’s heart beat so fast in her chest for worry for them and the situation. She had never been through something this intense, this was unreal in her life.
“We need a distraction and I can get us to that van over there. I have the key to it.” The agent whispered pointing to a van on the other side of the room.
“You’re crazy there’s no way we can get to there from here without being spotted.” Cyndil whispered back.
Jasmine glanced over trying to gain the courage to do what she was thinking in her mind. They were all human which meant she could go into their thoughts and get them to be on her side and let her leave without a fight. Throughout the ten men’s minds was a name they shared, assumingly being their boss, codename Saheeb. She nodded as Cyndil and the agent argued, she stood up and walked with her hands up to the men. They turned, calling her back.
“Jasmine what the fuck are you doing?” The agent fussed at her.
The men turned their guns to her as she gulped. “Don’t shoot please. I’m the double agent working with Saheeb. I know the codes to the bombs. The Americans kidnapped me and held me hostage thinking me to be a spy, but I didn’t tell them anything.” Jasmine lied, heart pounding as her voice started to crack. The agents looked to each other as if they didn’t believe her. “It’s true. Saheeb told me to tell you Hashem.” She spoke directly to the one closer to her establishing the connection by using his name.
The men lowered their weapons then but Jasmine didn’t relax. “I have two hostages here that need taking back to the interrogation room back in Iran.”
“How do we know you aren’t working for those filthy Americans?”
“They kidnapped me and tortured me. I’m not on their side.” Jasmine replied as honestly as possible.
Gabriel was just about ready to open the door then, but he turned feeling someone watching him. He only glanced back knowing exactly who was behind him. A primitive growl of anger rumbled in his chest as he removed his hand slowly from the door handle.
“It’s pointless you know.” Lucifer said, hands folded, sophisticatedly in front of him, unafraid and unmoving. “This trope you place your entire life on. You care for the Chosen, even love her I gather. It must be strange for an angel to fall in love especially when she can’t love you back.”
“I’m glad you showed yourself to save me the trouble of finding you myself.” Gabriel smirked, matching his level of cocky calmness.
Lucifer laughed softly taking steps closer to him. “Jasmine won’t need you for too much longer. She has already confessed she wanted you gone before while drunk. You know a drunk human tells no tales or so I been told.”
The corner of Gabriel’s mouth twitched as he looked at Lucifer in disgust. “You will say anything to get your way. You’re selfish. Always have been.”
“Oh come on Gabriel. You dare call me selfish in this world. If anything I thrive here. I walk among them and no one knows who I am because I’m no different. You go back to Jasmine I swear I will make your second human life a living hell.” Lucifer pointed seriously.
“Why? Why are you so interested in Jasmine?” Gabriel asked curiously. He paused realizing what Lucifer called her. “You think she’s the Chosen.”
“Do I think or do I know?”
Gabriel shook his head. “You don’t want her to change her mind about humanity. You want it to be destroyed. You want the world to be underneath your feet so you can rule. I hate to tell you Lucifer, it will never happen.” Gabriel stood in his face with no fear as Lucifer’s eyes squinted in challenge. “Why don’t you kill me yourself you coward?”
“Very well then.” Lucifer stood in Gabriel’s face, but saw something in his eyes that caused him to back off, his faith. He showed no fear and without fear Lucifer truly held no power. “No. Killing you would be too easy.” He walked off disappearing as he did so, causing Gabriel to hurry through the door. He looked at the hangar to see no one and his heart sank. He assumed he was maybe too late to save them. Before he got too down on himself a van pulled up and the window rolled down.
“Get in!” Cyndil yelled causing Gabriel to run to the van in full speed and hop in quickly as they sped off the battlefield.
