Chapter 82
As that, a cold sweat broke out on their backs. They didn’t dare to stay there anymore. They quickly held Jacob and hurried to the elevator.
Aurelia, who had sent everyone away, was not relaxed but indescribably tired.
Her rebirth did bring new hope and opportunities to her life, her family, and her future..
However, rebirth only gave her a path–an opportunity to change. Whether she could shine in life after rebirth still depended on her own efforts.
Moreover, there was a time limit for her to cheat. It would not be effective forever. She could only foresee what would happen ten years ahead.
Therefore, Aurelia felt a sense of panic and urgency all the time.
Aurelia had to create a better future for her and her family. Not to say the rest of her life, but at least, she didn’t need to worry about her and her family’s life for the next thirty years.
It was never easy to achieve such an ambitious goal.
After all, she lacked too much. Both her foundation and her intelligence were minimal.
In her previous life, she was not a smart and speculative person. If it weren’t for the betrayal of Marcellus and the misfortune. of marriage, coupled with the pitiful previous life that forced her to follow the flow, she would have lived as an innocent and confused woman for a lifetime.
Therefore, although she presented herself as a confident, cunning, and intelligent woman at that moment as if she was born with those personalities, that was just on the surface.
In fact, she pretended to be one.
However, she pretended to be the one based on the hardships she had experienced for ten years in her previous life. Therefore, even though she acted, she was more or less profound.
It was impossible to see through her mask at a glance.
However, what could really deter and win people’s hearts still depended on ability.
Hence, Aurelia would seize any chance to arm and hone herself. She was willing to learn no matter how weak she was!
Since she had the opportunity to enter the small circle, the living textbooks were right beside her. Even if she secretly learned from others, once she could use them skillfully, it would be her own experience.
She believed that one day, she would be able to arm herself from head to foot, both mentally and physically. By then, she would be unassailable.
To achieve that purpose, no matter how many people despised her, misunderstood her, and thought she was self–righteous or disapproving, she would grit her teeth and pretend that nothing would affect her and ignore the past.
Aurelia was determined. She took a deep breath and clenched her fist. She gestured to keep it up before tying the belt of her windbreaker around her waist. She then walked out of Regency.
As she asked Andrew to send Jacob back, Aurelia took a cab back to her hotel.
On the way, she took out her phone and called Charles. “Charles, have you settled down?”
“Ms. Swanson?” At that moment, Charles, who had just stepped into his hotel room, shouted in surprise.
He didn’t expect Aurelia to call him that night. Obviously, he had seen the unusual relationship between her and Jacob. He thought that Aurelia would probably not return to the hotel that day.
However, in a short while, Charles came back to his senses and realized that no matter what kind of relationship Aurelia had with Jacob, it should not be a problem for him to care for or think about. He immediately felt ashamed and hurriedly replied, Tm already in the room. I just came in. Where are you now, Ms. Swanson?”
“I am on my way back to the hotel. I should arrive in about fifteen minutes. You can get ready now. I’m in Room 1810. Bring along the relevant documents you have prepared and a separate checklist for things that need to be done. Come over to my room later. Since we have time at night, we can discuss it. I might need to rush back to Navarre tomorrow morning!”
“Okay! Ms. Swanson, understood!”
Upon hearing Aurelia talk about the company and work–related matters, Charles immediately stood upright. His expression became solemn and rigorous
Charles immediately opened his briefcase after the phone was hung up.
Fifteen minutes later, when Charles appeared with his documents in front of the door of Room 1810, Aurelia also appeared in the corridor.

“Charles, how long have you waited?”
“Ms. Swanson. I’ve just arrived, too.”
“Well, that’s great. Come in!” Aurelia opened the door, plugged the keycard into the power collection slot, and then walked to the counter. “Do you want to drink something? Coffee?”
“Coffee, please!” Charles immediately said without hesitation.
“Okay. Have a seat on the couch. I’ll boil some water, and let’s get to business after the water boils!”
“Okay, Ms. Swanson!”
“Charles, you don’t have to be so nervous and restrained. Just relax! If nothing wrong happens, we will cooperate for many years in the future. Just take me as your friend!”
“Okay, Ms. Swanson!” Charles nodded. However, looking at his rigorous look, Aurelia knew Charles did not take in what she had said. Fortunately, the time was a long time to go, and there was no need to rush.
After the water was boiled, Aurelia made two cups of coffee. She also changed into her slippers and sat down in front of the
couch.
Without many opening remarks, she went straight to the point. “Charles, what is the status of the procedures? Have you finished all the things I’ve asked you to do before?”
Upon hearing Aurelia’s question, Charles didn’t panic at all. Obviously, he had been clearing his mind for a long time to answer her questions smoothly.
“We already have enough capital to register as a financial company here. As our company has money pumped in as capital, there is no need for third–party guarantees. Hence, the capital verification went very smoothly! And the phone call you gave me last time helped a lot. At present, all procedures have entered the final review stage. I believe that when we go back this time, we will be able to apply for the company license and other permits smoothly!”
“Okay!” After hearing that. Aurelia nodded. It was not surprising that there were shortcuts to everything in the country as long as you knew someone from the inside.
“We have appointed a special registration agency to register the offshore company in Capston Island. It was completed before I came here. The rest is the application form for WSBEN. I need to go to Gronga in person. I plan to do it after I sort out all the financial accounts and redistribute the resources within these two days. However, Ms. Swanson, I don’t understand why you want me to open an international account in the investment bank opened by Wagner Brothers Co. in Gronga. Do we plan to invest in Atharia shortly?”
The reason Charles asked that question was that be it the securities company under Wagner Brothers Co. in Gronga or other investment companies, so long it was an application form for an international account, a WSBEN application form was required.
Such application forms belonged to overseas customers, and one of the great advantages and conveniences they enjoyed was that there was no need to pay taxes in Atharia!
However, the thing was, Aurelia had just begun her preliminary preparations to invest around 18 million dollars in Tospait’s securities industry. Aurelia still wanted Charles to open an international account. Wouldn’t it be too thoughtful?
Given Charles‘ current thinking and myopic vision, he couldn’t relate Aurelia’s behavior to the financial crisis happening in Atharia or even the whole world.
Charles didn’t know that there was an ambitious monster living within Aurelia. Aurelia was ready to take advantage of her rebirth for ten years and earn from the economy of Atharia.
Aurelia wouldn’t explain so much to Charles at that time.
In fact, she was far less professional than an elite like Charles in securities and finance.
Therefore, if she really wanted to explain it, she might have problems expressing her thoughts. At that time, she would be exposed. Hence, she decided to simply keep it a mystery.
“Charles, don’t ask about this for the time being. Just get these things done quickly!”
“Okay, Ms. Swanson. I understand. In addition, the office building and the place for the stock trader to live are all ready. All of them were prepared according to your requirements! However, there are too many accounts we need to operate. Therefore, our estimation of the number of helpers may still be insufficient. I wonder if we can just group up some accounts and give them to a special agency team for decentralized operation?”
Aurelia pondered for a while, “I’m not a professional in this aspect. I want to know how high the security and confidentiality coefficient is if we do so. Charles, to be honest, this thing can only succeed and must not fail. It directly affects all my subsequent arrangements. I have made a lot of arrangements for this! I had to take so many troubles and prepare so many things for it to not cause endless trouble in the near future. Hence, you shouldn’t simply regard me as a layman because of this thing–like me trying to throw my eggs all in one basket and interfering with your professionalism. I am very serious about this. I hope that you would also pay enough attention and treat this matter seriously!”
