Chapter 24
When he snapped out of it, he got out of the bathtub, grabbed a towel, and dried himself off. As he walked to the bathroom door, Aurelia had already almost finished getting dressed.
She was now bending over to put on a tight–fitting pencil skirt.
At that moment. Hayden still hadn’t realized that Aurelia’s attitude had shifted. He leaned lazily against the bathroom door frame and whistled, appreciating her figure.
The zipper smoothly glided all the way to the top. After Aurelia bent down once again to put on the wine–red sweater over her head, she turned around slowly and smiled politely and reservedly at him. “Sir, then I’m leaving!”

Chapter 25
“What?” Hayden couldn’t help but let out a surprised exclamation, “Go? Where are you going?”
Aurelia maintained her polite smile, but her expression carried a hint of feigned innocence as if she didn’t know what he was talking about. I’m going home, of course. It’s already late at night, and if I don’t go back, my family will worry!”
“Um!” It was only then that Hayden realized Aurelia’s transformation. Wasn’t she the seductive enchantress who had been so cooperative in bed earlier?
For a moment, he felt completely unable to keep up with her thoughts.
Moreover, Hayden suddenly had the feeling that the current scene and conversation were reminiscent of him being played by her like a gigolo.
“Isn’t this just messed up?” he thought.
Unable to contain his anger, Hayden’s words hid his fury. “I mean, Aurelia, are you just going to leave like this? Don’t you have anything else to say to me? Or at least ask me for my name. Aren’t you afraid that I won’t take responsibility?”
“Will you?”
She widened her eyes and looked at him with a touch of innocence.
Hayden felt even more irritated. “Damn it! Of course, I won’t!”
“Well, that settles it then. I trust you!” Aurelia replied nonchalantly.
“Damn it, Aurelia! Can’t you speak properly? You weren’t like this in bed!”
Hayden despised women who spoke in a pretentious manner, and unfortunately, Aurelia’s current tone of speech disgusted
him.
Hearing his words, Aurelia promptly dropped her deliberately innocent facade and put on an expression of worldly experience, teasingly saying, “I thought you liked it when women acted innocent and naive afterward. I was doing that to please you, wasn’t I?”
“Get lost! That’s your attempt to please me!? Every time you try, it only makes me angrier! Just speak normally, and that alone would make me happy!”
“Oh, sir. Since you said so, Aurelia will do it!”
As Aurelia spoke, she began to put on her windbreaker.
Hayden’s slightly improved expression quickly darkened again. “Woman, are you really leaving?”
“Well, do you want me to stay overnight?”
Aurelia glanced at him and continued nonchalantly, “This doesn’t seem like your style, you scions. Don’t you all just want to have fun and then quickly disappear from your sight? I’m simply leaving before you have the chance to kick me out. Did I upset you?“/
“Aurelia, it seems like you’re eager to go home and get rid of me, aren’t you? What if I actually wanted you to stay overnight?”
Aurelia immediately halted her movements. “If that’s your request, then I’ll cooperate!”
“Get lost!”
Hayden’s anger surged again. He asked women to stay overnight, and many would feel thrilled and unable to resist. But this woman said “cooperate“!
Chapter 25
It was the ultimate insult to him.
“Go away!” This time, his anger was genuine. The words “go away” were spat out swiftly and icily.
Although Aurelia knew the consequence of speaking that way, that it would surely provoke him, when she witnessed Hayden’s unappealing, cold expression and heard him ruthlessly tell her to leave, her heart involuntarily skipped a heat with
fear.
After hesitating for two seconds, she turned around and headed for the door.
She had no other choice. The previous experience was so pleasurable and filled with ups and downs, one after another, that it made her certain about one thing. Even though she and this man were meeting and being intimate for the first time, they shared an uncommon compatibility when it came to pursuing sensory pleasure.
How could she not sense the fleeting emotional dependency that Hayden developed on her body?
If it weren’t for her body, still immersed in the relaxation and afterglow of the half–hour spent in the bathtub, and her own. composed and cooled–down state of mind, she might have actually stayed in response to his somewhat clingy entreaties.
She might even have yielded to some of his additional demands, such as becoming a long–term lover.
Naturally, there would be no loss for her if it were to evolve that way. For these pampered heirs from the big cities, they wouldn’t deny their kept women any benefits before the novelty wore off.
However, that kind of life was not what Aurelia desired.
Did she need to experience once again the miserable outcome of staking her entire life and future on reliance on a man? No, Aurelia wasn’t impressed enough to start over.
Therefore, between them, there could be no involvement, only transaction!
Now that the transaction had been completed, it was time to cool down!
So, she intentionally spoke those words to let Hayden know that their relationship was merely a transaction, and any talk of warmth or compatibility was non–existent.
Sometimes, being cold–hearted was not exclusive to men!
Aurelia walked out and grabbed her bag, leaving.
Hayden couldn’t believe that this woman had the audacity to go to such lengths.
It seemed like she was confident that he wouldn’t confront her, otherwise, where did she get the courage to treat him like
this?
Hayden was so furious that he felt like tearing down the entire house. It was utterly unreasonable. He had never been as infuriated in his entire life as he was tonight.
Aurelia! He would remember her!
After Aurelia truly walked out of 718 and entered the elevator, she finally relaxed her tense back and let out a sigh.
Although she had anticipated Hayden’s anger, facing his fury and disdain still evoked instinctive fear in her
After all, in her previous life, she had such a low starting point and never had the chance to encounter someone like Hayden.
Tonight, if it weren’t for her resilient nerves from her rebirth and her unwavering determination to win, let alone successfully completing this exchange, simply standing and speaking in front of him would have been a challenge!
The elevator continued down to the fifth floor, where Aurelia transferred to another elevator.
Chapter 25
Feeling physically and mentally exhausted Aurelia walked out of the elevator without noticing three individuals sitting on a nearby couch, sipping their coffee and smoking. As she emerged, their eyes briefly flickered with brightness
