The Elements

I shoved the spoon full with cereals in my mouth angrily.

“Come on, S. What’s with that sad face?” Hazel asked like he didn’t woke me up with the help of a bucket full of water.

I stopped and glared at him with the spoon in my mouth.

He took two steps back. “Okay......She has the I’ll-murder-you face on and I’ll just leave. Bye.” and with that he runs away and I continued my bowl of cereals.

River cleared his throat. “So, how are you feeling today? How are your wounds.”

I stayed silent continuing to eat my cereals.

“Mine looks a way more better but it still hurts.” Sparky answered when she saw that I wasn’t going to.

He nodded his head. “Good. How about you Shadow?”

I gulped down the cereals from my mouth. “Peachy.” I answered truthfully.

My left side was still hurting as fuck, but it was in the same time a little better than yesterday, My face was now fully healed and my nose isn’t blue and purple anymore. I love those 2 colors, but I don’t like them on my nose.

“Can you be more detailed?” he asked a little annoyed.

“My side hurts as fuck and I slept just 3 hours last night. So, how I said, I’m feeling peachy.”

For some reason, last night I kept having nightmare after nightmare and I only managed to have just 3 hours of sleep. This time the nightmares were real nightmares, not memories or whatever.

He sighed and patted my back. “Yeah, this is a side effect of the dark venom.”

I raised my eyebrow at him. “Thank you for announcing me then. Another fabulous side effects I should know about?” I asked angry because how the actually fuck he forgot to tell me that?!

“Well, it can be nightmares, hallucinations, the feeling of nauseous and maybe vomiting too, struggles in using your power or the incapacity of using it and death if the venom reached an organ, but that’s not your case.”

I was staring at him trying to not go all Hulk and cut the electricity from the whole campus. I pushed the bowl away and stood up. “I’m going to change my clothes and after I’ll go to visit a friend.”

Flame gasped. “Little S has friends??”

I flipped him off and walked, or more likely dragged myself on the stairs, to my room. I dressed in a large grey hoodie and a pair on sport grey trousers. I put on some grey Air Max and walked out of the room.

“Bye, Shads! Take care bitch!” Sparky yelled from the living room and I waved my hand at her before I walked out.

I put my hoodie up and walked to the infirmary where the rescued ones were hold to treat their injures. I wrinkled my nose when the smell of medicines hit my nose. I hate that smell, especially the smell of medical alcohol. I feel like vomiting and fainting in the same times when I smell it.

I looked from under my hood trying to spot Teddy. All the beds where occupied with a patient and I had some struggles finding him but I finally spot him. He was standing on the last bed in the back of the room, alone.

I started to make my way to him trying to ignore all the stares and whispers. He was looking down at his fingers and jumped in surprise when I seat on the chair next to his bed.

I chuckled and put my hoodie down. “You okay there Teddy?”

His teddy eyes where now back to their normal size. “Yes. You just scared me. What are you doing here?” he asked very surprised.

“What? I can’t visit my friend to see how he feels?” I asked and leaned more in the plastic chair.

He was looking a little better then yesterday. His very pale skin was looking a little healthier and he can stand on his butt without any help so it’s something.

He looked taken back. “F-friends?”

“Yes. You are my friend. I told you that I want you alive and I said that with a reason. I’ll tell you the reason later, so until then you are my friend.” I said and smiled at him.

He stared at me for a little before he smiled too. “Thanks. No one tried to be friend with me before.”

I nodded in understanding. “No one tried to be friend with me neither until I came here. But now I have such good friends, that I can actually call them family.” I smiled thinking about the idiots I call my friends and family.

“I hope I’ll can do that too.” he said and looked a little sad.

I patted his shoulder and smiled. “You will. Don’t ask me how I know, just trust me.”

He stared at me again and nodded his head with a little smile. “I’m Sirius by the way and thanks for saving my ass.” he said and extended his hand.

I smirked. “I’m Shadow Thunder of Moonlight and that’s my job, honey. I save idiots who think that they are completely lost.”

His jaw could hit the floor right now. “Y-you are her? Everyone talks about you and your friends.”

“I know but I don’t give a royal fuck about it. They can talk all day along for all I care.” I shrugged and slapped his leg. “Now, you will come with me at my apartment because you will be in my team.”

He yelped in pain and looked at me like I was crazy (which I am but you get it). “What? Me? In your team? In Team Alpha? In the strongest team from this whole school?”

“Yes.” I said simply like it was obvious.

“You are crazy! I can’t be in your team! I’m too weak to be part of. I can’t even use my element.” he said and I think that I see how the tears are building in his eyes.

I slapped his leg again. “Don’t you dare to start crying. Don’t you dare! Pull your shit together and be a man. And you aren’t weak. I can see it in you. You are a strong one and that’s why I want you in my team. Well, our team because it’s not just my team.”

He started to rub the place where I hit him. “I am weak. I can’t use my element so I’m weak.”

I shook my head at his stubbornness. He really is Sparky’s brother. “You can’t use it because your cuts were full of dark venom and the incapacity of using your element is one of the side effects stupid. And if you can use your element like a master, this doesn’t mean you are powerful or great. You have to have a strong mind and know how to kick asses in a combat without your element. So shut the fuck up and get your things. We are leaving now.” I finished my motivational speech and stood up.

I waited for him do to something, but all he did was to stare at me. I sighed and pulled the sheets from underneath him, making him fall on the floor. “I said pack your things. NOW.”

He sighed and got up. “I’m done.”

“What do you mean?”

“I mean that I’m done. I packed my things.”

It was my turn now to look at him like he was crazy. “No. You didn’t.”

“Yes, I did because I don’t have any personal things. Not even clothes because I lived in a dungeon until yesterday.” he said as a matter of fact and I facepalmed myself.

“I’m sorry, I completely forgot.”

He smiled. “It’s fine. Lead the way.” he gestured for me to go first.

I put my hoodie back up and headed for the exit. All the infirmary was dead silent and all the people were staring at me and Sirius. When I was about to exit the room, I turned around and glared at everyone.

“GO BUY YOURSELFS A LIFE FUCKERS AND QUIT STARING. IT’S FUCKING RUDE.” I grabbed Sirius’s wrist and dragged him out of there.

I let go of his wrist only when we were in front of the apartment’s door. “Look, they will look mean and very rude at first but they are actually very sweet and kind. If they are mean with you, you can always give them an awesome comeback, okay?”

He nodded and I opened the front door and walked in.

“HEY EVERYONE!!! I HAVE SOME FRESH MEAT HERE!!!” I hollered when I saw that no one was in the living room.

“No, no, no. You’ll stay here.” I said and grabbed his wrist again when he tried to run off.

“WHAT DO YOU WANT NOW? IT’S FOOD IN THE FRIDGE!” River yelled back and I wanted to punch him so bad.

A grumpy Ash with a very smirking Sparky on his back walked into the living room.

“Put me down Ashy.” she said and patted his head.

“Don’t call me that.” he growled and put her down.

I felt Sirius stiffing next to me.

“Fine. I’ll call you pony then.”

He growled again. “I will never, EVER, help you again to get downstairs. That’s for sure.”

I cleared my throat and they finally stop.

“This is Sirius and he is the new member of the team.” I said and motioned my hands in his direction.

Sparky was staring at him with an expressionless face and Ash was staring at him with his usual grumpy face. I looked at Sirius and he was staring back at Sparky.

I scratched my head. “Okay.”

After another awkward 5 minutes, Sparky’s eyes flashed with recognize and her eyes began to water.

“S-Sirius as my big brother Sirius?” she asked and her voice and eyes were full of hope.

I looked at him and his eyes were teary too. “Yes, Sparkle. It’s me.”

She started to cry and started to run to him. He meet her mid way and they hugged each other and started to cry together.

I sniffed and rubbed my eyes. This is so damn cute and I’m feeling so happy for them. Fuck, I’m about to start crying too. Even Ash was sniffing a little.

“What you wanted to........Why is everyone crying?” Black and Hazel walked in and stared at us.

“That one over there, is Sparky’s brother and they just.....” I trailed off because my eyes teared up and some tears started to fall.

Come on. Who wouldn’t cry at this beautiful scene?

“Oh my. That’s so fucking cute. Shit, I’m goin to cry too.” Hazel said and started to rub his eyes.

I feel you Hazel. I fucking feel you.

I was wiping my tears away when two pairs of arms were wrapped around me.

“Thank you so much Shadow. If it wasn’t you, my brother wouldn’t be here right now.” Sparky said and hugged me tight.

“Thank you for not letting me give up back there and for literally dragging me here.” Sirius said and hugged both me and Sparky.

What? Did I stopped crying? Yeah, but now I started to cry again.

“You don’t have to thank me. I only did it because I wanted to see you guys happy.” I said and hugged them back.

“WHAT IS THAT STRANGER DOING HERE, IN OUR HOUSE, HUGGING SHADOW AND SPARK??”

We pulled away and a angry River was standing to a confused Flame.

“SHUT UP. He’s not a stranger. He is my big bro, Sirius.” Sparky said and hugged him again.

River looked from one to another trying to figure out if that was true and you don’t have to be a genius to figure out that they really were brothers. They have the same big brown teddy eyes, face shape, and features. The only difference it is that Sparky has dark brown hair, while Sirius has ginger hair and lots of freckles. More freckles then Black.

“How did you two found each other.” he demanded, not questioned.

I raised my hand. “Actually, I found Sirius while we were in our mission and I figured out that they were brothers, so I helped him and bring him here.”

River stared at Sirius and Sirius stared right back at him.

Good move bro.

Finally, River smiled at him and extended his hand. “I’m River and welcome in our weird family. I hope this idiots won’t scare you.”

He accepted his hand. “I’m Sirius and I don’t think they can scare me so easily.”

I smirked. “Trust me, we can. Now, the one that looks like River is his twin unicorn Flame, the hazel eyed ball full of sunshine is Hazel, the all dressed in black with black hair is Black and the grumpy one is Ash. Here are two more idiots but they didn’t bother to come down.”

I received different comments from my speech like: eyes roll, ‘I’m a ball full of sunshine’, ‘Very original’ and scoff.

Sirius smiled. “Nice to meet you all.”

Here we had again different reactions: ‘Same here’, ‘Yeah, yeah’, ‘It was a pleasure to meet you’, short nod, and my favorite ‘Can’t say the same thing’.

Yes, the last one was Ash but Black smacked his head and he apologized for what he said.

“You will have the first room on the right and you have everything you need there. Oh, and Monday we are going back to school and we have to talk with the lunatic then.” River said and headed upstairs.

All of us groaned but not because we have to go to school. Because we have to talk with the lunatic again.

Suddenly, I was feeling very tired. I can’t blame me. I only slept 3 hours last night and all this emotional moment dried the last fragment of my energy.

I yawn and started to walk in the direction on my beautiful bedroom. “I’m going to sleep because I’m so fucking exhausted and yeah. Goodnight losers.”

I stopped in front of the stairs and glared at them. My left side was still hurting me and I can’t climb the stairs without wincing.

“Need help?” someone whispered in my ear causing me to jump and trip on a stair.

I was ready to kiss the floor but it never happened because Black saved my day. Again.

I put my hand on his mouth when he wanted to talk. “If you say again that lame pick up line, I’ll kill you.”

He chuckled and took me upstairs and put me on my bed. Just after that I took my hand away.

“You are no fun, Lighty.” he said and shook his head.

I rolled my eyes and kicked his stomach but that was a wrong move because it felt like I just hit a rock.

Damn you abs.

He started to laugh when he saw me holding my hand.

“Stop it and go away. I want to sleep.” I said and glared at him.

He stopped from his little laughter. “After I receive my reward.”

I looked at him with an eyebrow raised. “Thank you. Go away.”

“Nope. Give me a kiss on my cheek and I’ll go.” he bent down and tapped his left cheek.

Glaring, I put my hands on his face to keep his face still and I kissed his cheek. He tried to move his head so I would kiss his lips instead but I had my hands there for a reason.

I smirked and wrapped myself in the blanket. “Night Blacky-Pooh.”

I can feel his glare on the side of my head. “You are no fun. Night Lighty-Pooh.”

That was the last thing I heard before I drifted into a peaceful sleep.
