The Dragon Prince

Chapter Love and Vengeance

Alyssa

The battle was over, and most of Sozin’s warriors had been captured or killed. Vincent and some others had searched the premises, but it seemed that Elijah vanished into the wind. I had spent all that extra energy healing the wounded but was exhausted. “Damn it,” I said as I searched through Elijah’s records in his office for anything useful.

“Alyssa?” Vincent said as he opened the door.

“There has to be something here that will tell us where we would go,” I grunted.

Vincent wrapped his arms around me and kissed my neck. “We’ll find him love, don’t worry,” Vincent turned me around to face him. He gave me a small peck on the forehead, making me relax a little. “You’ll go crazy looking through all this stuff. Elijah is going to pay for what he’s done. But right now, we need to take a breather. It’s been a tough couple of weeks,”

To think that King Zayne was killed nearly two weeks ago, which started this whole mess, reminded me how much had happened in such a short time.

“Am I interrupting something?” Jacob said.

“Not at all,” Vincent said, facing Jacob.

“Elizabeth is here as well,” Jacob added.

“We’ve brought a guest, your highness,” Elizabeth smiled.

Henry entered the office with Gabrial, his wrists and neck cuffed with draconite. It was clear that Jacob knew exactly who he was based on the look he gave him. I had to admit that seeing him like this brought a little smile to my face. “Henry!?” I said. “You’re alive!”

“Oh, I forgot to mention that,” Vincent said.

“It’s good to see you’re alright,” I smiled and nodded.

“Ugh, seriously, could you stop with all this emotional crap? It’s making me sick!” Gabrial gagged. I punched Gabrial in the nose. “You bitch, you broke my nose!”

“Sorry, I was aiming for your jaw to shut you up. I can try again if you’d like?”

Gabrial opened his mouth to say something but closed it and grunted. “There’s a good boy,” I said.

“Every Sozin warrior has either been killed or captured. We put the dungeons in this place to good use,” Elizabeth said.

“About time these bastards get a taste of their own medicine,” I said.

“What about the leader?” Elizabeth asked.

“Unknown, he got away,” Vincent crossed his arms.

“I’ve contacted the other kingdoms, and with the help of our allies, they have taken back their domains. Except for the dragon kingdom in the United States of America. That one is still overrun,” Elizabeth said.

“We will reclaim America, but for tonight, everyone needs to enjoy this victory. We’ll regroup tomorrow to about our next step,” Vincent said.

“Elizabeth, I want you to put Gabrial in the smallest cell in this castle,” I said.

“Gabrial?” I turned around and saw Annabeth, rage covering her face.

“Vincent, I came here to tell you that everyone has been securely locked in a cell. Is this him?” Annabeth asked me. “Is this the bastard that killed Isabella? MY FATED MATE?!” Annabeth stepped right before Gabrial, staring at him with a killer look. Annabeth shoved her fist into Gabrial’s chest and pulled out his heart, but no blood was on her hands. I have to stop her.

“Annabeth, I can’t imagine what you are feeling right now. But he’s not worth it,” I said.

“The hell he is! Crush his heart, Annabeth!” Jacob said. “He killed my sister! You’re mate!”

“That would drag us down to their level. Annabeth, you are not a murderer,” Vincent said. “This won’t bring Isabella back!”

Annabeth looked at Gabrial’s enchanted heart as it glowed. “You took the one person that meant the world to me. You killed my mate, a gift from the goddess herself. I would love nothing more than to crush this thing you call a heart,” Annabeth then started to squeeze Gabrial heart until it was black dust. Gabrial eyes rolled to the back of his head as he fell to the ground. “Get him out of my sight!” Annabeth wiped her hand off from the dust.

Annabeth broke down as soon as Elizabeth and Henry dragged Gabrial’s dead body out of the room. “It’s alright. It’s over,”

A week’s worth of bottling Annabeth’s emotions comes crashing to the surface. “I avenged you, Isabella. But why does it still hurt? Why do I feel so empty,” Annabeth said.

Annabeth had anger, and now that she got what she wanted, to kill the man who murdered Isabella. Without Isabella, Annabeth would remain half a soul and always be empty. “I need some time alone, I need to ask for the Moon Goddess’s forgiveness,” Annabeth said.

“You know where to find us,” I smiled as Annabeth left. “Jacob, how are you feeling?”

“I’ll be alright; it will take some time. I’m going to head off and i know some people are celebrating our victory tonight and frankly, I need a drink,” Jacob said.

“We’ll join you later,” Vincent touched Jacob’s shoulder. Jacob left the room.

“This has been a crazy couple of week to say the least. How are you holding up?” Vincent said.

“I’m alright; I’m just a bit tired,” I yawned.

“Then why don’t we find a room to crash in?” Vincent purred as he took my hand.

“You can go get a drink with the others, I don’t mind,” I said.

“I want to strip you naked and make everyone hear you scream my name. I only want to spend time with you,” Vincent pulled me closer to him, our lips barely touching.

“Lead the way,” I blushed.

Vincent led me to one of the rooms in the castle. A sharp scent of incense welcomed us as we walked into the room. Four additional pillows, decorated with warm red and orange oriental patterns on the red velvet bedding. Hardwood flooring with floral walls. “This is an upgrade from the cells I stayed in,” I said.

“I’m sorry you had to go through that. I made you a promise I would never let that happen to you again,” Vincent said.

“You kept that promise by coming for me,” I grabbed Vincent’s collar and pulled him closer to me. “Stop blaming yourself,” Vincent’s face was right before me, and I could feel his soft breath on my lips. I wrapped my arms around his waist, and I could feel his warmth. Vincent means everything to me.

I lifted Vincent’s sweater and felt my hands on his soft, white skin. “What are you doing?” Vincent asked me.

“Giving my mate what he wants, and it’s what I want,” I heard Vincent gasp with surprise. I loosely bit my lip as my hand traveled down his back. “Take it off,” I commanded.

Vincent took his sweater and shirt off as I asked. He closed his eyes as my fingers moved across his chest, savoring the feeling of his soft skin on mine. My hand moved to Vincent’s back, and I pulled him closer to me as I did; my heartbeat increased, and my face closed in on his. My lips were still a few centimeters away, and I gently nibbled on my lip. Vincent moved closer to kiss me, but I moved, making a teasing grin on my face.

“So you want to play with me?” Vincent grabbed my waist and pulled me into him, finally claiming my lips. I chuckled at his eagerness. My teasing did its job. His hands wrapped around me, and I could feel his heartbeat as he embraced me. My arms ran over his chest, and I took a moment to admire his hard and flawless abs, toned body, and crystal-white eyes.

Vincent lifted me, and I wrapped my legs around his waist, never breaking our kiss. My fingers ran through his hair as I pulled his face closer to mine, not wanting to stop to kiss. We walked to the bed and gently fell when we got there. Our lips were still locked together, our tongues in a heated wrestling match. Slowly, he eased my top off above my head, and we gathered our breath at the same time. As soon as my top was gone, our lips met again. I could feel butterflies in my stomach as Vincent’s hands traveled over my body. I unbuttoned his pants, and soon after, they were on the floor along with my pants.

Vincent took my arms and raised them both above my head, holding them in place. His lips suddenly left mine, and we found ourselves breathing rapidly. He shifted his position and was now sitting over my hips, his erection bulging in his underwear, wanting to spring free. He gave me a devilish smirk and lowered his head. Instead of kissing me, he planted a few gentle kisses on my face. He traveled my body with his lips, and I could feel my body respond to him. I could see Vincent’s grin as he saw my reaction to every kiss he gave me. I closed my eyes as a moan left my lips with each kiss.

As his lips touched my collarbone, I felt my excitement building. But before Vincent went lower, he raised his head. I looked at him with longing, pleading with him to continue. Instead, he started kissing me again on the other cheek, slowly moving down to my collarbone. He repeated this process two more times, and I felt myself growing irritated by his teasing. I moaned in dissatisfaction as his lips once more left my skin. He hovered above me and brushed his lips gently over me. I lifted my head to kiss him, but he gently pulled away.

“That’s for the teasing earlier,” Vincent purred.

Vincent grinned at me as I grunted with defeat. But since Vincent could hardly contain himself, he lowered his lips onto mine. He released my hands, and they instantly found their way into his hair, pulling him in. God, this man is perfect.

“You are so beautiful,” Vincent said, and then he started trailing kisses down my neck, but this time he didn’t stop at my collarbone. His lips moved lower and stopped at my scars. He kissed each spot gently up and down, and my body responded positively. “I love you so much,”

“I love you too,” I said.

Vincent slowly started working his cock inside me. I screamed again when he bottomed out in my pussy. He fucked me for what felt like hours before filling me up. I lost track of how many orgasms I had. He pulled out, put two fingers into me, and went in and out. I moaned as he started going faster and faster, making me squirt on his face. Vincent licked his lips as I gasped. Vincent only smiled at me, then reinserted his penis inside me. “I still have another load to give you, love.”

“Shut up and give it to me,” I commanded.

I woke up the following day with Vincent staring at me. “Good morning,” Vincent kissed my forehead.

“How long have you been watching me sleep?” I said.

“A couple of hours, I didn’t want to wake you as you looked so peaceful,” Vincent smiled. “Besides, you’re very cute when you sleep,”

“Some would call that creepy,” I joked.

“I’m your mate, it’s not creepy at all. If it was, I’m okay with that,” Vincent said. “How did you sleep?”

“I had trouble sleeping since I couldn’t stop thinking about my father escaping. But other than that, I slept better than I have these last few days,” I said.

“Come here,” Vincent hugged me tight, and I laid my head on his chest. I could hear his heart beating, and I wanted to stay like this forever.

“Shouldn’t we get out of bed first?” I asked.

“There’s no rush, now come here,” Vincent playfully growled.

“Vincent, we need to--WHOA. Vincent, how can you move around with that thing?! I can’t stop looking at it!” Jacob’s eyes widened.

Vincent threw a pillow at Jacob but turned around to avoid getting hit in the face. “Ever heard of knocking fuckface!?”

“In my defense, I did. Guess you didn’t hear me,” Jacob said. “Is Alyssa still alive? You didn’t kill her did you?”

“I’m fine, Jacob. What did you need to tell us?” I asked

“I wanted to let you know that Alexandria and the others just arrived,” Jacob explained.

“Tell them to gather in the survalance room. We’ll be right there,” Vincent said.

Jacob smiled and ran out of the bedroom. “Told you we should have gotten out of bed,” I laughed.

Vincent and I got out of bed and got dressed. “What are you thinking about right now?” Vincent asked me.

“I need different clothes. The ones I had on are barely holding together and I need a shower,” I scoffed.

“I have extra clothes in my bag. You can use them until we find you something else. Besides, I want my scent on you,” Vincent purred. “As for the shower, I’d be happy to join you,”

“If you want to join me, you better paint my ass red as you fuck me,” I said, walking to the bathroom.

Alexandria

“Is everyone ready to go?” I said as we were all about to leave the base camp.

“Does Vincent know about you mother, Alex?” Megan said.

“Vincent knows about the barrier as we all did, I’m sure he knows. I want to call him, but the reception could be better. Besides, it’s a conversation best for us face to face,”

“Hey, we’ll be joining you,” Ethan said.

“Yeah, that’s fine. We might still your help,” I smiled.

“I don’t think you should be shifting because of your leg. You should just with me,” Megan said.

“Megan’s right, shifting could hurt your leg even more,” Ethan nodded in agreement.

“Mom’s body is ready,” Audrey said. “I’ll carry her,”

We had wrapped our mother’s body in cloth Merlin conjured after casting the preservation spell. Audrey and I knew Mom should be buried next to our father, her destined mate, in Varrfarrinn. Because of the potent magic surrounding Everest, there was no option to portal out of there. But Merlin assured everyone that he would transfer her body to Varrfarrinn when we got to Brazil.

“Are you sure? I’m sure somebody else could do it,” I said.

“No, it’s my job to take care of her,” Audrey nodded.

“Very well. Then you better shift so we can secure mom on your back,” I said.

“Alright, let’s get going,” Audrey nodded again.

It took us all night to get to Sozin’s base in Brazil; Jacob told us to meet him in the surveillance room. We all waited in the surveillance room, and I talked with Skyler, but her eyes widened as she saw a familiar face.

“MOM! You’re alive!” Skyler shouted.

Gloria embraced her daughter. “It’s so good to see you,” Gloria said.

Soon, I saw Vincent walking with Alyssa. “Sure took your sweet time,” I scoffed, but then I hugged him. “It’s good to see you, little brother,”

“It’s good to see you too, Alex. What’s with the outfits?” Vincent asked. “Where the hell did you guys come from?”

“The Crystal Caves from Mount Everest,” I said.

“The birthplace of magic! I’ll be damned,” Vincent said, then he glanced at my group and noticed a face missing. “Mom is dead, isn’t she? I’m the last White dragon?”

My eyes filled with tears. “I’m sorry, Vincent, but fixing the barrier came with a price,”

“Where is she?” Vincent asked.

“We brought her body with us. She’s in one of the empty rooms we found and asked us to tell you she loved you so much,” I said. I see Alyssa take Vincent’s hand.

“How? How did she die?” Vincent asked me.

“The barrier was too weak to restored and Merlin needed her link to create a new one,” Audrey explained.

“I remember; Merlin is the wizard that installed the original barrier after the great war. Yet, you guys couldn’t install the new one without killing my mother!”

“Vincent, please relax, I’m sure there wasn’t another way,” Alyssa said.

“Relax!? These bastards just sacrificed my mother to create some stinking barrier. I need to get out of here before I do something I’ll regret!” Vincent hissed and stormed out.

“Shit,” I shook my head.

“Give me a moment with him,” Alyssa said. “We’ll talk in a bit,”

Alyssa chased after Vincent, and Audrey started to hyperventilate. “We should have seen this coming, Alex,” Audrey said as she controlled her breathing. “Vincent was closer to Mom then any of us,”

“Give him time, Vinnie will come around, and he’ll be okay with Alyssa by his side,” I smiled. “If there’s anyone that can get through to Vincent, it’s Alyssa,”

Jacob brought in Jeffery, and we were unhappy seeing him. “Jeff?!” Renna gasped as she saw her brother. “You’re alive!?” Renna scowled at him.

“It’s good to see you again, little sis,” Jeffery nervously smiled at her, then Renna slapped him. “What the fuck were you thinking?”

“I’m sorry, Renna. I was blindly following our father, but I promise you all that I had no idea that my dad was planning to help kill all the leaders,” Jeffery tried to explain his reason.

“And you believe him?” Skyler looked at Jacob.

“He’s helped us so far,” Jacob said. “But we haven’t taken him off his leash yet,”

“Like I said. I want to make amends, no matter long it takes,” Jeffery said.

“Hi guys, I’m sorry I acted like that,” Vincent said as he returned with Alyssa.

“It’s okay, so what happened here?” I said.

“This is the base for Sozin’s warriors. We were able to capture or kill almost eveyone, but thier leader escaped,” Vincent took a deep breath and looked at Alyssa.

“There’s somthing you’re not telling us,” I crossed my arms.

“Their leader’s name is Elijah, and he is Alyssa’s father. He’s been experimenting on mortals and dragons to create the most powerful dragon in existance,” Vincent explained.

“And I’m one a product of his experiments,” Alyssa said.

“You never told me that!” Vincent’s face showed shock and disbelief.

“I’m sorry. There was so much going on, and it slipped my mind,” Alyssa said.

“Hmm,” Merlin said as he approached Alyssa. Without a word, he leaned forward, looking Alyssa in the eyes.

“That’s close enough!” Vincent got in front of Alyssa, shielding her from Merlin.

“Relax, Vincent. You’ve been gifted a wonderful mate, and I sense you two have joined. She is quite unique. Do you mind showing me your magic, Alyssa?” Merlin said.

“Are you serious?” Vincent growled.

“Merlin is direct,” I said.

“It’s a correct assumption of mine that you are a golden dragon?” Merlin said.

“I am,” Alyssa nodded at Merlin.

“I’ve been around for a very long time. But I’ve only met a golden dragon once before,” Merlin said.

“You’ve met another golden dragon?!” Alyssa said.

“About two hundred years ago, yes. So, do you mind showing me?” Merlin asked again. “I see that you have quite a unique talent or talents.”

“Everyone step back,” Alyssa said, and we all took a step back. Alyssa sprouted two golden wings.

“Didn’t see that coming,” I said in awe.

“Alyssa, you look amazing,” Audrey smiled.

“Interesting,” Merlin walked around Alyssa, studying her wings, scales, and face. “Very interesting. What other abilities do you possess?”

“Energy balls, shields, and able to heal others,” Alyssa explained. “I can also absorb energy from others. You seem to know some things about what I am,”

“Like I said before, I’ve been around for a long time. Golden Dragons have always been the source of legends, even within our world. Their powers can even surpass the White Dragons. I’m surprisesed how strong you’ve become already as it took the last golden dragon decades to get where you are now and more time for him to use it in human form,”

“So are there more powers I have?” Alyssa asked.

“I don’t think It’s my place to say. If there are many more, they will show themselves in time,” Merlin said.

“So if Elijah managed to create one golden dragon, do you think thier might be more?”

“No, Alyssa descended from the golden dragon two hundred years ago. He is your ancestor,” Merlin said. “Albus was a beloved friend of mine, and I miss him dearly. Elijah must have found a way to activate the dormant gene passed on through the generations. You are not an experiment, more like a forced golden dragon. It might explain why your powers are multiplying, along with the mate bond to the White Dragon, and why you’ve been able to use all your magic in human form,”

“Stop, this is too much information right now,” Alyssa put her hand on her forehead.

“My apoliogies. But I thought you wanted to know,” Merlin tilted his eyes.

“I did, and I do. It’s just enough information for now,” Alyssa said.

“Very well,” Merlin nodded.

“Now, that’s done. This Elijah person, any idea where he might have gone?” Megan asked.

“I’ve been thinking about that, and Elizabeth told me there was still one kingdom under Elijah’s control.

“The Dragon Kingdom of the United States of America,” Renna said. “My kingdom,”

“I have heard Elijah and Gabrial talka bout the American kingdom on a few occasions. It seems importent to them to keep it under control,” Jeffery told everyone.

“It still makes sense since it’s the only place under his control. But there could still be other hideouts,” I said. “But it’s our best bet,”

“Besides, I want my kingdom back. It’s unwise to fuck with an American!” Renna growled.

“I think we should coordinate an attack on America. The sooner, the better. It was time to clear the world of these bastards, but then the room started to shake out of the blue. “What the!?”

“It’s an earthquake!” Jacob yelled.

The room started to shake uncontrollably, and large cracks formed on the ceiling. “We need to get out of here!” I said.

Alyssa raised her hand, and a giant magical golden-colored barrier formed around us. Rubble from the ceiling hit the forcefield hard, making it hard for her to focus. Thankfully, the ground stopped shaking.

“What the hell was that?” I said.

“Something about that earthquake didn’t feel right; Brazil doesn’t get earthquakes of this intensity,” Merlin said.

“Wait a minute,” Jacob removed a rock from one of the control panels. Jacob’s finger moved across the keyboard. “Looks like it originated from America, and it’s hard to say where in America, the whole country was hit and by the looks of it, it’s far worse then was we got,”

“America has never experienced this type of earthquake before, not in my lifetimes or in this area,” Merlin said,

“GUYS,” Scott said. “Everyone is okay, but one of Sozin’s high ranking solders want to talk to you,”

“Bring him here,” I said. Scott brought the man that wanted to talk to us. “You’ve got two minutes,” Scott said.

“This is not a natural earthquake. Elijah caused this because you all ruined his original plan and now he’s moving to Plan B and I honestly though he would never go through with it,” He said. “That plan was insane,”

“What is he doing?” Alyssa said.

“Oh no, Jacob, did the earthquake originate in Wyoming?” Renna asked.

“Yes, it did, why?” Jacob asked

“Seems like she figured it out,” The soldier laughed.

“The American Kingdom is located in Wyoming, directly at the center of Supervolcano Caldera in Yellowstone National Park. I think Elijah is planning to blow it up!” Renna said.

“And with that, Elijah will kill all of humanity and dragons and all magical folk that survive will remain,” The soldier said.
