The Dragon Brothers

* The Castle at Drakor; The Capital of the Chromos * Cyprian POV

Molly comes up with some strange ideas sometimes like when she thought I was mad about her dropping and breaking a bunch of plates because she was carrying too many and someone bumped into her causing her to lose her balance but she's never come up with an idea like this. She would never on her own come up with an idea that she would know from the get go would piss me off and get her ass in trouble. Molly just isn't like that. She doesn't get into mischief, she isn't a trouble starter, and she doesn't go out seeking trouble. So, I know that someone put this in her head. I grab my robe, throw it on, and start marching for the door.

But Molly tries stopping me. "Cyprian, don't bother your brother. I was just being silly. Keep this just between us. You know that I would never do that."

"No, because if Elena is planning this, even if you don't go then Quentin needs to know." I state firmly.

"Elena isn't planning anything. It was all in my head. I just wanted to see your reaction. That's all. Now come on, let's go back to bed." She starts pulling my hand back towards the bed.

"Alright. But if any of these women show up I am holding you responsible Molly. You need to keep this from happening." I make a big huff and walk back to the bed. Molly POV

I know that women are a weaker species than men but that doesn't make us inferior and Cyprian is acting like we would just be in the way which isn't true at all. I'm a skilled archer, Viola is pretty skilled on the battlefield but she's pregnant right, Elena said she knows how to use a sword and she knows spells, and the queen werewolf is supposed to be pretty badass too. I'm not sure about the other queens but I doubt they're more battle worthy than delicate. Why can't he see that?

"Come back to bed Molly and I'm serious none of those women are to show up while we are fighting. Having to protect our mates while we are fighting is the last thing we need." Cyprian says as he pulls the blankets back on my side of the bed.

"No!" This is the first time I've ever defied him. "I'm sorry Cyprian but you're wrong. I'm tired of being told to go drink with the other ladies in the garden while you plan battle strategies with the men. I'm plenty capable of fighting and so are a lot of the other ladies. You men just keep pushing us down. You know what, maybe you should go find Quentin and while you're at it see if you can spend the night in his room too because you're not sleeping with me. Get out!" I'm not sure where this is all coming from but all I know is I'm pissed and if he thinks he's getting any kind of loving tonight he's dead wrong.

Cyprian gets out of bed and just stares at me for a minute with his mouth open. Like he doesn't know what to do. Then he picks up a pillow and starts to walk towards the door and stops when he gets close to me. I stomp my foot and turn away from him. "Out."

He leans down to my ear and whispers. "You are so fucking sexy right now my dick is like a rock." Then he straightens up and walks out of the room. Elena POV

I'm on such a high right now thinking of me and Molly surprising the men in the middle of the battle. I can just see Quentin's face! He's never seen me use magic before in fact I don't think he knows I can. I'm also pretty deadly with the sword which I hear quite a few of the other queens are. I just spin around in the room thinking of us all riding into battle together.

"What has put you in such a playful mood?" Quentin asks while he laughs at me.

"What if all the queens, Molly, and I surprised you and the other men showed up to fight with you? What would you do?" I ask laying down on the bed next to him.

"Well, Viola can't go because she is pregnant, Cyprian would flip his shit if Molly showed up as over protective he is of her, the werewolf queen could do some real damage, and I don't know much else about the other ladies. As for you Miss Elena, what are your skills?"

"Well, I know how to use a sword and I know some magic." I answer truthfully.

"Okay. Are we talking about beginner's classes? What level?" He asks with a smile on his face but I can't tell if it's a patronizing smile or not.

"I have telekinesis and I'm an earth plus fire elemental. I was born with it. I haven't practiced it much except when I feel extreme emotions but I do know how to control it. Since I was living at the palace here and then when you took me away I've been practicing it again when no one was looking. As an earth elemental I can create earthquakes, cause vines to grow out of plants or the ground to catch my prey and even kill them, and create golems out of the terrain. As a fire elemental I have less experience but I can create fire balls to throw in my hands. I've never really tried to burn down whole buildings but I know with practice I could do that too. I do know a few other spells that may be helpful like healing and cloaking spells. As far as the sword I've never been to battle but before I was sold to the brothel I used to take regular classes." I smile at him with hopeful eyes.

"Well, I'll take you with me to talk with the men tomorrow to see what they have to say. Maybe you could talk to the ladies first and see if anyone wants to join in the fight?" I can't believe this! I throw my arms around him. I'm so happy to have his support.

Queen Maeve's Dungeon * Emily's POV

The steps led to a large open floor but we were partially hidden by a hallway to our right and to our left was the door that is supposed to lead to the outside. Gabe slowly opens the door to our right and we see a large open field and then woods. "I can't believe that it is this easy. Doesn't something feel off to you?." I whisper yell to Gabe.

"Yeah it does. But we have to play the hand we're dealt. There's no other way out and this is better than taking a left through the open floor. Do you agree? Because it's now or never and we need to make a decision quickly." Gabe responds whispering back to me.

"Let's go through the door." I agree we need to make a decision quickly.

We open the door and jump outside. It's completely quiet so we start running as fast as possible. As Gabe starts to run faster he starts to take flight and grabs me by my arms pulling me to his chest. Just then we hear yelling coming back from the castle. We start seeing arrows whizzing by us. Gabe turns around and faces the castle. I'm screaming at him asking him if he's trying to commit suicide. But he pushes his hand out and creates a protective barrier around us. I watch as arrows hit the barrier and bounce off. We turn back around and continue flying. We fly high above the trees, pass the forest, pass a lake, and we finally land in another clearing. I'm not sure where we are exactly but I believe we've crossed the southern border and are now in the Chromos Empire.

"Hurry, we need to find a cave or someplace where we can hide." Gabe says urgently.

"I don't understand why. We've put so much distance between us and the castle. Plus I believe we've entered the Chromos Empire so we should be seeing soldiers soon if we can make it to a main road or a village." I think the key is to keep moving.

"I would gladly keep moving but my energy supply has completely drained from flying and creating the barrier. I need to rest.” Gabe explains apologetically.

"Okay. So cave it is then." I put my hand on his shoulder to show I'm there for him. He got us out of there and if it weren't for him I would be dead right now so if he needs to rest then so be it.

We keep walking through the clearing and enter a dense forest. A few miles into the forest we come across a large cave. We walk towards the back of the cave and see how far it goes back. There's a small opening that we have to crawl through but it opens into another large cavern. So we decided to stop and rest here for the night. Sometime around midnight we are awakened to hear the sound of goblins searching the adjoining cave. We hear them digging at the entrance to the cavern where we are. Gabe pulls me to his chest protectively. I close my eyes.
