* The Castle at Drakor; The Capital of the Chromos * Lucian POV

When Angelus and I get back to the castle grounds there is a frenzy of activity and obvious whispering. So, I find Viola to ask what's going on but I don't have to go far. Right in the main hall is a man with a sword drawn, Viola with one of my swords drawn standing in front of the man which is almost as big as she is, next to her and on both sides of her are a handful of palace guards and the children's guards, and at the top of the stairs is a living, breathing, and on fire phoenix. It takes me a minute just to accept the situation because the Phoenix population is supposed to be extinct. This has to be the only one alive today. I'm trying to not be too mesmerized by its beauty and deal with the situation at hand as I pull out my sword and take a protective stance in front of Angelus.

"Dad, that's the man that killed our parents." Angelus says as he points at the man with his sword drawn at Viola.

"Viola what's going on?" I ask her, wanting to get a grasp on the situation.

"This man came looking for Rohesia wanting to kill her." Viola said that was all I needed to hear.

I took one step towards the man as he turned to me. He advanced towards slashing the air with his sword. I withdrew my second sword to block his blow with one sword I was about to stab him in the stomach when a small Angelus stepped in front of me with werewolf claws and ripped open his stomach then a fireball from the phoenix set the man on fire. He screamed for a few seconds and stumbled around and then fell to the ground. Servants came running with buckets of water to douse the fire so he wouldn't set fire to the whole castle.

I looked down at Angelus and his claws and retracted and then over at the phoenix and Sia stood in its place. "Um, I think we need to talk. Come with me to my library."

Once we were all settled in the library I began the conversation. "So, tell us about your parents."

"Well, our dad was a werewolf and our mother was a phoenix. When the alpha of the pack" Angelus started

"Of what pack? Do you remember? Do you remember the alpha's name" I interrupted.

"It was the Red Moon Pack but I don't remember the alpha's name. When they found out that mamma was a phoenix shortly after Sia was born they banished us from the pack territory. So, we became rogues. We were living peacefully in a village not far from here."

"What's the name of the village?" I interrupted again.

"The village's name is Kilead. Everything was fine until a year ago when that man showed up. I don't know what he wanted but he seemed interested in mamma. He met dad in the village and asked for a room to stay in. He said he would pay rent and help out with chores. He stayed almost a month before he killed mamma. He killed her in the barn. Daddy walked in and caught them and he killed him just outside the barn. I took Sia and ran. I wish I knew why he killed them and why he wanted to kill us." When Angelus finished the story he looked down and really sad.

I picked Angelus and put him in my lap. I decided the best policy would be to be truthful with the kids. " Well, that man was a bounty hunter. He collects bounties, or payments, on people. The people may be wanted for a crime and have a bounty on their head, or a payment paid for whoever aids in that person being captured."

"But, our parents weren't wanted for any crimes." Angelus doesn't understand.

"Now, let me finish. Some creatures have bounties because of their power, their assets (something about them is valuable and can be used in spells, curses, or food) or killing them is a prized kill to a hunter. My guess is that the man was only interested in your mother and sister because they are a phoenix and your father was killed by accident." I tried to explain.

"But why kill a phoenix?" Angelus still didn't understand

"A phoenix is a very valuable creature to control but it's hard to catch one unless there is a dark witch or wizard there at the time of capture. However, they also have valuable assets in their feathers. Their feathers can be used in spells, curses, and are highly valuable to hunters. The phoenix has been hunted to near extinction, in fact, up until tonight I thought they were extinct. I suggest we keep Sia's secret within this room. I know a few of the castle servants saw her when she was a blaze but that couldn't have been helped. Now we just need to move forward. I will speak with the King and Queen of the Werewolves about this and have the Alpha, if he is still in power, punished because what he did is against the law. Then I will ask them to send a representative here to the castle to start to train you, Angelus, on all things related to werewolves. I believe you should be meeting your wolf soon and I want you ready for that and then when you're around thirteenish you should be able to shapeshift into your wolf." I finally sat back after that long explanation.

I'm still trudging along with the baby. I move mostly at night as the moon goddess lights my way. We hide in caves during the day and watch the trolls, demons, and goblins pass us by. I hope I can keep the baby hidden from them. I've decided to name the baby Eve. Sometimes I call her Evie to be sweet. She's a happy little baby and loves nature but seems to love water the most. I just hope we can make it to Drakor. We should make it there sometime tomorrow. * Kingdom of Cait *

Cyprian POV

"Good morning Molly." I set the tray of breakfast deights on the bed next to her but she refuses to wake up. So I gently kiss her forehead and finally she opens her beautiful eyes to look at me.

"Five more minutes." She pleads with me.

"No, Miss Molly. We have things to do today." She sits up excitedly with that.

"What are we planning to do today?" She asks as she starts picking at the breakfast tray.

"Well, we're flying to Drakor. My brother Lucian has called a meeting for heads of state and I need to be there. A small group of servants will bring our luggage with them." I explain as servants come in to pick up our luggage. "Can I come as your servant too?" Molly asks as she pushes the breakfast tray away after nibbling on a muffin and some grapes.

"Absolutely no. Not after last time's disaster. I'm not having a repeat of that drama." I say as I push the tray back at her and grab a donut.

"Cyprian, please! It's the role I feel the most comfortable in. I don't know" Molly pleaded.

"No and that's final. End of discussion. I don't want to hear another thing about it. You are going as my fiance and significant other. You will not be put down or demeaned and you have not been trained as a royal personal servant. I don't want to see you make mistakes and be admonished or worse." I spoke a little more sternly than I should have.

"So, that's it isn't it? I did embarrass you last time? I'm an embarrassment to you." Molly says with tears in her eyes.

"Dammit that's not what I said at all. No you did not embarrass me last time and no you are not an embarrassment to me. If you were I certainly weren't be taking you as my fiance for fuck's sakes. Are you listening to yourself? I love you Molly and I want to show my love for you off, not to mention the reason for my love. Is that so much to ask?

Emily POV

I awake to the sound of the bars of my cage being rattled by a prison guard. The ogre standing at my cell is laughing at me as a huge drop of drool drips from its mouth. I hear footsteps of someone coming down the stairs and it's not another ogre so my curiosity is perked. A dark figure clad all in black with a black cloak and a black stop at my cage.

"Hello, Emily." The black dressed figure says.

I literally throw myself across the cell and against the wall. I can recognize that voice anywhere. This can't be happening. He's dead. I saw him die. I saw Wolf throw his knife into his heart. I saw him hit the floor and his eyes weren't moving anymore. He was dead. So, how is he standing here before me now?
