Chapter 41 

Seeing Joshua standing there in a daze, Christy glanced at him and said, “Hey, I want to help Alan take a shower. Where is the bathroom?” 

Hearing this. Joshua thought, “Are they united together to bully me?” 

Christy didn’t even call his name now. 

He was so tough and authoritative outside, but he was so humble in front of Christy and Alan. 

This was not in line with his domineering image at all. 

“Tm his dad. Hand it to me.” Joshua decided to take the initiative to maintain his image. 

“No need! You are clumsy and don’t know how to do it. Alan has already caught a cold. It can’t get worse again.” Christy refused Joshua. 

Joshua’s gallantry was once again refused ruthlessly.

“Are you sure you don’t need my help?” Joshua asked and didn’t want to give up. 

“No. Stand aside. Don’t get in the way.” Christy said with disgust and began to bathe Alan. 

She had tied her long hair into a bun. A few strands of untied hair were hanging casually on both sides of her cheeks. She was still pretty and appeared to be virtuous. 

She deftly applied shower gel to Alan and washed it away. She did it very quickly and didn’t even take a break. 

Joshua looked at her in surprise. 

Alan was already five years old and was a little heavy, but Christy could hold him firmly and bathe him methodically. 

It seemed she had gone through a lot when taking care of the two children without a husband or a servant these years. 

Christy was a responsible mother, and she deserved credit for this. 

The hot steam made her face a little pink, making her even more charming. 

Christy squatted to bathe her son and lowered her breast by accident. 

Joshua was looking down at her, so he easily caught a glimpse of her breast. It was so beautiful that it made him imagine the 

size of her breast.. 

He was amazed when he realized that looking at Christy gave him a feeling of heartbeat and a desire. 

He thought, “How come? Why would I have a feeling for this woman?” 

Christy was concentrating on Alan. She didn’t know the man standing behind her was quietly looking at her breast. Otherwise, she would drive Joshua out of the bathroom without hesitation. 

Just when Joshua was watching her breast attentively, the corner of his clothes was pulled, and he heard a soft voice. 

“Joshua…” 

It turned out Clara was calling him. 

Joshua was taken aback. If Clara found he was peeking at Christy, his good image would be ruined. 

Joshua concealed his guilty, turned around calmly, and smiled at Clara. 

He said, “Little girl, what’s the matter?”

He looked at Clara up and down. 

Clara’s big eyes were so clear and pure, so she probably didn’t notice his thoughts. 

“Joshua, I want to talk with you. Are you free right now?” Clara blinked her eyes with a mysterious expression. 

Joshua thought. “Does she want to have a heart–to–heart talk? I’d love it!” 

“Of course!” Joshua immediately agreed. He had no reason to refuse, and he was overjoyed. 

Christy was helping Alan take a bath. This was a rare chance for Joshua to get close to his daughter, and it was Clara who took the initiative to look for him. 

In order to prevent Christy from hearing their conversation, Joshua took Clara to the half–moon terrace of the villa and even closed the big windows. 

“Clara, what do you want to tell me?” Joshua held back his rough voice and asked as gently as possible. 

Clara opened her big eyes and said, “Well. Since you saved Alan and brought him back. I have a bold idea. I have always wanted to find a boyfriend for Mommy, and you are the most handsome, richest, and most reliable man in the world. I think you are really suitable for her!” 

When Joshua heard this, he almost choked. 

He didn’t expect Clara would talk with him about this kind of thing. 

Joshua couldn’t help but suspect if all the children now were so precocious. 

Seeing Joshua’s confused expression, Clara thought he didn’t like Christy. 

She said anxiously, “My mommy is really nice. She is beautiful, smart, and virtuous. She can save money, do housework, and cook delicious food…” 

Clara tried her best to list all Christy’s advantages like a salesman. 

She said pitifully, “My mommy is raising us by herself. It’s really hard for her! She is really pitiful. I hope she can find a boyfriend so that someone will support her and no one will bully us in the future…” 

“Clara, who dares to bully you? Tell me, and I will help you teach those bad guys a lesson!” Hearing what Clara said, Joshua was not calm anymore. 

When Alan was complaining he had no father to protect them when they were bullied, Joshua thought Alan was just in a fit of temper. 

Now even Clara said the same words. Joshua suddenly realized this matter was serious. 

Clara thought of what had happened a few days ago. 

She said fearfully, “One day, when Mommy got off work, she met two bad guys. If it wasn’t for Victoria and Alan, who defeated the bad guys, Mommy would have been hurt. 

“I don’t know who they are, and I don’t know when the bad guys will show up again. If Mommy has a reliable boyfriend, he can protect us.”

Hearing this, Joshua was shocked and furious! 

He thought, ‘Damn it. Christy is my woman. Only I can bully her in this world. 

Which assholes dare to bully her under my nose? Do they want to die?‘ 

No wonder Alap hated Joshua so much.

Clara didn’t know her casual words had stimulated the anger in Joshua’s heart. 

Clara pleaded with yearning. “Are you willing to be Mommy’s boyfriend? I really want to have a daddy. Can you be our daddy?”
