The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart (Brittany and Isaac)

Chapter 1215

"Ronald!"

Old Mr. Malone couldn't believe his ears, "What on Earth are you thinking? Are you really going to defy me over a girl named Kari? Are you ready to turn your back on the entire Malone family?"

"Do you have any idea how much I've put into getting you where you are today? How can you do this to me?"

Ronald remained silent.

He was a child born out of wedlock, unknown to the Malone family in his early years, clueless about who his real parents were.

If it weren't for Old Mr. Malone bringing him into the fold, he wouldn't have the life of privilege he now enjoys, nor would he have the power to run the Malone empire, becoming a well-known figure in Imperial City. But what of it?

No luxury could compare to his feelings for Kari.

"Just come back home. If you agree to divorce Kari, I'll pretend this never happened."

Old Mr. Malone took a deep breath, "Ronald, if you really care about Kari that much, keep her as a mistress. I'll turn a blind eye. You don't have to gamble your marriage on this."

In his view, Ronald was still young, acting rashly.

The marriage he had arranged was for the best.

It was beneficial to the Malone family and Ronald himself.

But Ronald, utterly enchanted by Kari, had gone ahead and married a woman of no significance!

While Ronald felt indifferent towards the Malone family, he always respected Old Mr. Malone.

Yet, now, he was hesitant.

"Grandfather."

Ronald's voice was low, "First, I'm not being reckless, nor am I acting on a whim. I truly want to spend my life with Kari.

Second, Kari is not someone to be treated lightly.

Third, I won't divorce her.

If the Malone family wants to cast me out, I have no objections."

"Ronald, are you threatening me?"

Old Mr. Malone stood up abruptly, "I made you who you are today, and you would defy me for a woman!"

Ronald was silent for a long moment, "Grandfather, the only reason I agreed to return to the Malone family was because of her." "You-"

Old Mr. Malone wanted to accuse Ronald of being impulsive.

"Ronald, dinner's ready!"

Willa called out.

"Grandfather, I'll come home and

explain everything." Ronald hung up the phone and walked over to Willa with a calm demeanor, "Mom, gealm

please take a seat, I'll serve the dishes."

Willa chuckled, "I'll grab a bottle of wine, the one dad had set aside for special occasions. I'll go get it, and tonight, the three of us will have a good drink!"

"Sounds good."

Ronald entered the kitchen, meeting Kari's worried gaze, "The Malone family gave you a hard time?"

He moved closer to her, "Yes, I can't be with you tonight."

Kari looked uneasy, "Will they make things difficult for you?"

"What's there to be afraid of?" Ronald kissed her cheek, "Didn't you say you could take care of me?"

"I love the life you provide for me."

Kari's concerns weren't about that, "Ronald!"

Ronald pressed a finger to her lips, "It's a day of celebration, let's not talk about this. Let's enjoy our dinner tonight."

Kari sighed but didn't pursue the matter further.

At the dinner table, Willa opened the bottle of special wine, filling the air with its fragrance.

Ronald poured a glass for each of

them. Willa, with tears in her eyes, both excited and sorrowful, raised her glass, "Ronald, Kari, today is your wedding day. I wish you both a smooth, harmonious, and happy life together."

Kari and Ronald lifted their glasses, "Mom, we know."

Willa took her drink in one go.

And the couple followed suit.
