The Billionaire And His Son Want Me Back (Paisley)

Chapter 171

Chapter 171

Friday came. Dominick returned to Vanderbilt Manor in pick up Grayson.

"Where are we going?" he asked.

Grayson hadn't seen his dad for several days and had assumed he wouldn't see him this weekend either. But to his surprise, when he came home from school today, his dad was there waiting for him-and even wanted to take him out.

"We're going to see your mommy's parents, Dominick said.

"Huh?" The words sounded foreign to Grayson. In all his years, he had never

heard them mentioned fiefore

"Mommy has parents"" he asked.

"Of course. We're having dinner with them tonigla. Dommick explained.

"Um. Does that mean I'll see Mom!"

It had been a long time since he last saw her. He had sent messages, but she never replied. In her world, there was only that other daughter she had with someone else- there was no space for him and Dominick,

Grayson

felt conflicted. He was desperate to see Paisley, yet at the same time, he was angry that she favored her daughter and didn't want him.

"Hopefully," Dominick said. He couldn't give his son a definite answer-

he wasn't even sure if Paisley would show up tonight.

Ever since losing contact with her again, every day had felt like an eternity for him. He threw himself

into work to numb the ache, to stop himself from thinking about her, as if that was the only way to keep going

But the truth was, whenever he had a moment to breathe, his mind inevitably wandered back to her. He figured that, despite everything, the Sullivan couple was still Paisley's parents. No matter how strained their relationship might be, blood ties never truly break. "Dom, the gifts have already been sent to the Sullivan family in advance." Julian informed him by the car

"Good, thanks. Go home and enjoy your weekend. Dominick said.

Lately, he had been working like a madman, and as his assistant, Julian had no choice but to keep up with him, working tirelessly by his side.

Just as Dominick and Grayson were about to get into the car, a voice called out from behind them.

"Wait a second"" A young woman was running toward them, holding a coat in her hands..

Grayson paused

before stepping into the car, turned around, and introduced her. "Dad, this is Ms. Claire Horn, my teacher"

Dominick had heard from Lauren that they were arranging for a private tutor to take care of Grayson

It was the same setup as when he was a child-

he had been looked after by Marissa's mother, Linda. Marissa had been taking care of Grayson, but after everything that had happened, they had to find someone new. Claire ran up slightly out of breath,

and nodded at Dominick. "Mr. Vanderbilt, I just found out you're taking Sonny out for dinner. It's going to get cold tonight-

you should take an extra coat for him"

Dominick noted how out of breath she was and yet how quickly she moved to put the coat on Grayson. It was clear she genuinely cared about the boy. He nodded politely. Thank you"

His voice was deep and pleasant, and combined with his refined, handsome features, he looked d like a nobleman straight out of a comic book. "N-no problem. It's my responsibility" Ms. Horn Mammered, avoiding his gaze.

Dominick didn't think rouch of n. He simply nodded again with distant politeness before getting into the car with Grayson and leaving Vanderbilt Originally, Christina had planned to host Dominick at their home for dinner. But Gregory had other plans and changed the location to a five- star hotel.

He booked a private dining room in the hotel-one big enough

to hold two large tables. It was the most luxurious private room available.

"We're just hosting Mr. Vanderbilt, Why book such a big room? There are two tables here-

who else are you inviting?" Christina asked.

Gregory looked around the lavishly decorated space with satisfaction. "The Jackman family will be here too

Christina nodded. "Even with the Jackman family, we wouldn't need this much space. What if Mr. Vanderbilt

is displeased with too many people?"

"Brittany didn't tell you?".

"Tell me what!" Christina turned to Brittany. "Did you invite more people!"

Brittany smiled and nodded, her eyes gleaming with excitement. "Yes, I invited the director and some people from my production team."

"Why?" Christina didn't understand.

"Of course, I had to invite them, Brittany said smugly. "Mr. Anderson and the others may not say anything to my face, but behind my back, they've been scheming to kick me out of the cast! And that screenwriter, Nion, hasn't even shown up once! "Those people! How dare they!" Christina fumed. "They have no idea how lucky they are!"

"Exactly! That's why I need them here tonight. I want them all to see exactly who's backing me?" Brittany said with a smirk. After tonight. I want to see if they still dare mess with me. One thing's for sure- this leading role belongs to me."

Brittany carried herself like a proud swan. If her father could use Dominick to pressure

the Jackman family into making Baron marry Paisley, then

why couldn't she use Dominick to pressure the production team?

She wanted Gary and the whole crew to realize that messing with her was a mistake. With just a single word, she could ruin them all.

Honestly, if Dominick hadn't personally agreed to attend tonight, she wouldn't have dared to be this arrogant in front of the crew and Gary. But now she was not afraid anymore, with Dominick backing her. o fine! How about my

Just the thought of this made her extremely happy. She held Christina's hand and asked, "Mom, do I look okay? Is my make- up dress?"

Christina looked at her with tender eyes. "You look great. You're the prettiest girl in the world tonight."

"That's good to know" Brittany ha prepared for a whole week just for tonight. But she was still worried about Paisley who would also come. "Mom. Paisley is not going to do anything stupid, right? I don't want to leave a bad impression Christina found in troublesome as well. "It's all y your dad's fault. I don't understand why he had to set her up with the Jackman family tonight. Those people-

"What about those people? Before Christina could finish, a group of people showed up

outside the room.

One of them was fat and ugly-

the infamous Baron Jackman himself. He had his eyes on Brittany the moment he walked in. His gaze made Brittany very uncomfortable, so she hide behind Christina.

"What an honor It's great to meet you!" Gregory put on a smile and approached Baron's father, who was equally fat and ugly but much older.
