Chapter 21

I literally bawled my eyes out when I wrote this.

All of my memories keep you near

In silent moments imagine you here

All of my memories keep you near

Your silent whispers, silent tears

‘’I cannot heal her!’’ Zuuri yells out in agony. ‘’The poison has gone through too much of her body tissue!’’ his hands are hovering over her limp, bloodied figure.

Shaking. Eyes so white. Nearly transparent.

I cannot tear my eyes away from her body. I should have never let her run from me.

Never given her that space.

I should have known better. I would rather have her screaming at me, than seeing her like this.

Pain ripples through my body so hard that I hunch over.

‘’I cannot heal her brother!’’ he yells again, desperate. ‘’She cannot die!’’ he cries.

Zuki is standing in the corner. Eyes closed. Trying to stay calm.

‘’Brother!’’ he yell.

I meet his white eyes.

‘’I can’t heal her,’’ he whispers brokenly as his arms fall limp to his side. Defeated.

I swallow hard.

‘’You are positive?’’ I ask hoarsely. Already knowing the answer. Already knowing what I have to do.

He nods solemnly.

I rise from my hunched position as I walk over to her dying body. I share a look with my brother. Horror crosses his features. His twin sister notices his distress.

‘’No, brother,’’ he says sternly. ’’You cannot do that to her!’’ he yells, trying to shield her bleeding body from me.

‘’Would you rather have her die, then?’’ I sneer. Anger taking over me.

I will not let her die. She will not die on me.

‘’Brother,’’ Zuki calls nervously. ‘’Are you sure?’’ she asks.

‘’No! I refuse!’’ Zuuri yells as he tries to shove me away from the human.

‘’I am not letting her die, little brother!’’ I yell back at him.

‘’We don’t have any other choice!’’ I try to reason with him.

The longer this takes, more of her life is running out of her system.

I push him away from her and lifts her gently into my arms.

My precious little Viking.

Zuki restrains a desperate Zuuri as I lift her half-dead body up and walk onboard the ship.

She has to live. This is not how she dies.

I swallow hard, again, as I lie her down on the bed.

All of her clothing was already been removed when Zuuri tried desperately to heal her.

Purple bitemarks all over her beautiful body.

I am going to fix this.

No one will ever hurt her again.

I take a deep breath, as I close my eyes briefly. I remove my clothing, discarding it to the ground.

I call her name, stroking her cheek gently. She needs to be awake for this.

Sadly.

Her eyes flutter open after a few calls.

A pained expression on her face. She’s unable to move. Unable to talk. Shallow breathing.

‘’If there was another way to save your life, I would have done it,’’ I say to her, clearly, so that I was sure that she could hear me.

‘’I apologize, Mai’yri,’’ I murmur as my nose graces her cheek.

‘’But I have to save your life,’’ I say as I place a hand over abdomen. Readying her with matter. Letting her body know what comes next.

My fingers grace over her protruding hip bone.

Her breathing quickens. Fear in her eyes. Tears.

She knows.

I swallow hard, once again. I grab her thighs gently and spread her legs apart.

A panicked gaze tear into me.

‘’This will not hurt,’’ I reassure.

I’m not completely sure if I’m reassuring myself more than her at this point.

Letting the animalistic side of me free, as it needs, I slide into her slowly.

She makes no sound. She physically can’t.

But her eyes say it all.

I made her ready for me, to lessen her pain. I slide out of her completely, before slamming it in again. Feeling the beast inside, clawing its way out, I let go.

I hoist her thigh further up, leaning over her as I’m pounding into her.

Canines growing longer. Sharper.

Our faces almost touching, her teary eyes never breaking eye contact with my, now, black ones.

I can’t help the feeling. It feels euphoric. Too good.

I lean down, breathing in her scent from the crock of her neck as my pace quickens. I lick the side of her neck slowly as my pounding increases.

I’m too big for her body to handle.

As I near my release, I bite down. Hard.

A silent scream leaves her mouth.

The pleasure should take most of the pain away, but I’m sure she would rather have it painful.

I shudder as I release my seed into her, still biting down on her neck.

I release my bite slowly. Retreating the canines. Still inside of her. No blood is shed. Only a small black circle is forming in the spot where I marked her.

For life.

My DNA should be seeping through her as we speak, healing every damaged cell.

I look down at her, panting. Telling myself that this should do it. I’ve healed her.

An animalistic snarl leaves my mouth.

No!

It’s not enough. Never enough. Selfishness washes over me as I flip her to her stomach.

All of her bitemarks now gone.

I leave the warmth of her folds, before slamming right back into it. Taking her from behind. Roughly.

Never enough!

My clawed fingers hold on tightly, in a bruising grasp, on her hips. Leaning over her, caging her in, I quicken my pace once again. I pull her by the hair towards me, neck craning backwards.

I bite down, hard, in the same spot again as I shudder my second release.

Bodies slick with sweat.

I can hear her whimpers, but no rational thought was left in my brain.

I had her now. She was mine now. No one will ever attempt to take her away from me again!

A ferocious growl leaves my lips. My canines biting lightly her earlobe. Kissing her neck. Her back. I grab hold of her hair once again and lean over so that our cheeks are nearly touching.

Her tear streaked cheeks.

I pull out of her once again, my member still twitching in anticipation. My seed slipping out of her, down her thighs, slowly. The mixed smell of our intercourse makes my nose flare.

I enter her again.

‘’No!’’ she cries out.

Her pleas falling to deaf ears. I repeat this for several hours. Always marking her after. Over and over again.

Never enough!

When I finish, she lays sprawled naked on the bed. Her thighs smeared with my seed.

Her eyes have lost all color, staring blankly into nothingness. Tears streaming in a continuous flow down her cheeks. Blood-shot eyes.

Marks from my hands all over her body.

Not one single ounce of regret fills my body.

My only regret is that it had to happen this way.

She would live.

The rebellions will be personally consumed by myself. I will eat them one by one, so painfully slow. They were waiting for her to run. Waiting for her to get away from me.

General Liocel’s case seemed gloomy. They were statically placed there. Waiting for her.

I gently lift her into my arms. I pad over to the bathroom. I seat myself in the bathtub, with her laying limply on my chest. I clean her up without any exchange of words. I do not think her mind is capable of any conversation at this point.

Whatever we built over the period of her stay was now broken.

Even I realized that.

But she was alive.

My DNA saved her. If she had not been a genetic match, she would have died.

She would have died.

After marking her, her emotions were much clearer to me. The excruciating pain in my chest was proof of that.

The emotion was not my own.

She was unable to stand due to the incident earlier, so I wrapped a towel around her limp form and laid her back in bed. I removed the dirty duvet and returned shortly with a fresh one.

I resisted the urge to sleep with her in my arms. I think I have done enough damage for one day. I back out of the room, leaving her to her emotions.

Hopefully, she’ll fall asleep quickly. I did quite the number on her, after all.

I walk out of the room, now dressed, heading for the wrath of my little brother. I saw Zuki embracing a shivering Zuuri.

I have to get us back to our Zone, but that could wait.

‘’Congratulations brother,’’ Zuuri cry into his sister's arms. ‘’You broke her mind,’’ he whimpers.

Zuki looks at me with anger.

‘’I had to do it! She would have died!’’ I snarl back.

’’Yeah, once,’’ Zuki sneers. Defending her twin.

’’You had to mark her once, brother. But you got selfish and repeated it at least twelve times,’’

As if physically hurt by these words, Zuuri shivers even more.

‘’I will not feel guilty for saving her life!’’ I snarl back.

‘’No, you should not either. You should feel guilty for continuously raping her after!’’ Zuuri snaps.

One eye turning black and the other white.

’’She is mine!’’ I yell. ‘’My genetic match!’’

Zuki shakes her head. Disappointment was an understatement.

‘’However you want to mask this, brother, you raped her. Good luck with picking up those pieces. Wait, I am not going to let you. Zuuri and I are,’’ Zuki growls in my face.

‘’I told you if you ruin her, I will take her back,’’ Zuuri threatens. ‘’I am dangerously close to doing just that,’’

I lift him by the collar, the second he utters those words.

‘’How dare you!’’ I roar as I shake him wildly.

Zuki slams me to the side, forcing me to release the grasp I had on Zuuri.

’’How dare you!’’ she roars back.

‘’Imagine this happening to me, or Zuuri – or mother?’’ she snaps.

Our noses nearly touching.

’’You got selfish and you will pay the price for it,’’ Zuuri mutters as he heads towards the room Mai’yri’s in.

‘’She is mine!’’ I roar as I try and stop him from entering.

He only turns his head back, blocking me out, wielding matter. He rarely does.

But he’s extremely good at it.

‘’Not anymore,’’ he murmurs as he enters the room, and closes the door behind him.
